i deliver mail all day and people lock their dogs in the garage, even in the sweltering heat of summer where I live. seems pretty horrible.

small dogs might be alright but I wouldn't get a large or mid-large size dog unless you live in the country or have a huge yard in sub urbia

Once a week I go to a local pet shop to annoy a very grumpy chinchilla that lives there.

I didn't expect them to be able to jump this high though.

My pupper can't digest any sort of cereal, so he'd just get sick if I gave him something with oatmeal.

Do you think the recipe would work with potato flour?

my pup is losing his teeth, I assumed it was because he eats rocks and stuff but I'm now considering maybe he has gum disease?
anyway today it got to the point where I gave him a treat and he couldn't eat it, he excitedly picked it up, tried to chew it, spit it back on the floor, then excitedly picked it up again and so on.
I had to cut it up into small pieces for him.

Not much to it. A quiet, warm, non-threatening place with food will calm any cat. I would maybe use a bathroom with a litterbox in it for the first 12+ hours though.

If you put her in the carrier right away she may flip out, and if so try completely covering the whole carrier with a towel. That calms them a bit.

And of course be very careful handling a feral animal. Be kind and gentle with her. Since she's young and a singleton she's more likely to tame up quickly, so best of luck!

Cat breeds generally are too young to be able to tell them apart using genetic tests. Rare and unusual coat patterns may pop up out of anything. Point coloration ("Siamese") is a good example of that. Some of the coat patterns are female-exclusive.

Sorry to resurrect an older thread but I have some questions about these red nerite snails.

I have two in my tank, with a single moderately sized goldfish.

Both snails are about one inch in length.

One of them is completely normal, zips around the tank at an alarming pace and cuts through algae like a razorblade. This snail takes no shit from nobody.

The other one is shy and withdrawn, barely seems to eat and has a very strange behavior, it climbs up the side of the tank, under the filter head and then just.. lets go.. and drops to the bottom of the tank. I've seen it happen.

I'm a bit worried, what is this about?

feed her a bunch of bread to cushion the bones and watch her poops for the next couple of days
