Shut your mouth, alpacas are awesome.
The best of the camelids by far.
What do we do when the major pollinators of the northwest die off? Imported honey bees are disease prone and have hard times with temperature swings. Monarchs are dying off in droves in California. Humming birds are losing their habitat at an increasingly high rate.
The end will happen in our lifetimes
We die.
Most likely we'll bring in more Mexishits to hand collect pollen and then hand paint flowers with a brush, like they do in China.
Carrot == Nature??? I might be retarded
carrots are good

Fuck your carrots.
Man vs nature
Wich one is more powerful?
>>2272219
Man because we invent things and build empires
Considering the destruction of the planet, I'd go with man lol

We have an oldschool one, let's get a modern one going too.

He's one of the most unconventional presidents we've ever had, he won't get a dog.
Recently my dog has been throwing up a lot for the past few days. I used to feed her regular raw chicken. My grandma took up feeding her, to which my dog is now eating raw beef mince and a puree mixture of broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, pumpkin, and sweet potato. The vegetables are all cooked before pureed.
I'm wondering if it's due to her change in diet. I'll be taking her to the vet in the next week or so to see exactly what's going on with her. Any ideas as to what might be upsetting her stomach?
>>2271963
Probably should have transitioned her to the new food slowly rather than suddenly changing.
Assuming you did that, I'm not sure any of those vegetables are toxic to a dog, but if I were to suspect any of those vegetables of any evil it would be sweet potato.
>>2271963
>My grandma took up feeding her
>Recently my dog has been throwing up a lot
Stop her from feeding your dog and go back to feeding it yourself. If the throwing up stops theres a good chance your grandma is the culprit.
then do what >>2271977 said. slowly change diets, gradually give your dog a meal of grandma here and there and watch out for any ill effects.
do this weening process for at least a month
>>2271963
>The vegetables are all cooked before pureed.
I dont really like this, btw. Dogs are good at chewing, there is no reason to puree anything.
and pureeing makes it impossible for the dog to say
>i dont like this particular ingredient
by not eating it. in fact, the dog doesnt even know it's eating multiple ingredients.
What is this?

Hey guys, I need some help. Apologies if this breaks some board rule, this is my first time on /an/.
>Visit ladyfriend for Thanksgiving weekend
>she has a cat
>wake up this morning, find the cat has pissed on my winter coat and it's been marinating in it all night
>friend sprays it with Nature's Miracle before she leaves for work
>now it smells even worse
>try wearing the coat to go outside, nearly throw up from the smell
>every single dry cleaner in the area is closed on Sunday
>can't go outside for very long because it's too cold to be out without the coat
How do I get rid of this terrible smell? I have to ride a cramped bus home for hours tomorrow, I don't want to be that guy who stinks up the bus and ruins everything for everyone else.
Googling suggests using white vinegar, but no one can agree on exactly how.
Any advice, tips, or help? I can't afford a new winter coat right now, I spent my extra money on this trip.
>>2270631
What kind of coat (material) is it? Any chance you can swing by a laundromat and just wash it as delicate and hang dry in front of a heater?
That's impossible.
>>2270634
96% Polyester, 4% Spandex.

what are we starting from? seeds, cuttings or a newly acquired plant?

Why are you shitting the board up with another fucking general when one for plants already exists?
what is going on in this image?
The way that Wikihow produces their images is they have people trace stock photos or draw pseudo-anime style images in bulk.
This looks like one of those, likely from a page about rabid dogs?
Bestiality.
God I fucking love Wikihow
>so determined to sting you that they kill themselves in the process
why are we saving bees again?

Self sacrifice for a cause greater than a individial, a average bug has much of humanity beat on follow through.
>>2270180
They do that because if the intruder succeeds, the lifework of thousands of bees will be lost, while her life is only worth a spoonful of honey.

.... they pollinate which is sexy.
Good species of small/medium sized exotic cat to get if I never owned an exotic pet before?
I was thinking about serval. Anyone have any experience on this?
I am sure its illegal in the state I live but could care less.
You already sound like a shit owner in four sentences
>>2270158
Why do you think that?
I love cats though. I'd invest in outdoor enclosure connected to house for exotic cat even.
Just looking for some feedback on this topic.
>>2270177
Just get a regular cat and think of it as a foreign desert creature.
How reputable are cat rescue organizations and what are your experiences with these animals? I'd like to give an abandoned cat a chance at a good life but I am worried about getting stuck with some asshole animal that will tear apart my stuff, piss on my bed, and never trust me. Also, this is more of a general cat question, how many days can I leave a cat alone for? I usually just go to work and come home but sometimes on weekends I go out of town for 2-3 days.

Rescue organizations depend from rescue to rescue; they are not necessarily part of the ASPCA or a nation wide organization, they are all privately owned. In fact, there are no qualifications for a rescue whatsoever. I can put a sign on my house right now that says "My Animal Rescue" and now I have a rescue. It's that simple. So it's important to research these rescues. One good sign is if they have their organization certified as non-profit (also known as 501(c)3 organizations), but that doesn't mean every non-profit rescue will work out for you. I know some rescues won't even let you adopt a cat if you have a job, and other places will make light of serious issues like FIV, and sell positive cats to unsuspecting adopters. I suggest looking for rescues near you, and reading their mission statements and beliefs to see if you jive. For example, if you're like me and think FIV is a big deal, a rescue that doesn't think it's a big deal may not test their cats or inform adopters. If they believe in reducing the numbers of cats, they will probably fix their animals or offer coupons for fixing the animal, but if they don't they may believe in leaving them intact. Stuff like that. Of course you don't have to agree with everything, but you should at least read about them and bring up these concerns when you go to talk to them.
I'd highly suggest adopting an adult cat who acts how you want the cat to act, friendly and whatnot. You'll have to get a nice scratching post to keep him from clawing your shit up. Active and playful cats tend to be more destructive. Honestly cats seem to love the cheap cardboard ones. As for peeing, litter box issues are most commonly a symptom of an underlying illness. 2-3 days should be fine, hell maybe even 4 every now and then, but any more than that is pushing it. You'll need to fill a lot of food and water bowls and leave out extra litter pans. Definitely get an older cat if you want to leave on weekends

>some asshole animal that will tear apart my stuff, piss on my bed, and never trust me
Doesn't matter where you get it from, a cat isn't for you.
>>2268881
I've only seen this once, but a local rescue in my area does 'sleepovers' with cats and dogs; if you pass a basic interview they let you take the animal you're interested in home for a week to see if it's a good fit. I had a cat for 2 days, decided it wasn't right for me (pissed on the bed) and returned it. Like I said, this doesn't seem to be common but see if the rescues in your area will let you do something similar.
I dream of a world where humans and spiders can coexist peacefully.
I dont fuck with them and they dont fuck with me.
That's some short bus shit, son
