What's the evolutionary advantage to having just one massive fuck-all claw as opposed to two?

gettin laid
I couldn't find a birb general to post but I wanted to share this anyway.
My parents have just finished turning their garden sun seat into an aviary for their 2 budgies, because they said it was cruel to keep them in a cage as the younger one was always trying to fly.
Thought it looked pretty good.
This one is like... Bastard old. 10 years? All his other budgie buddies have passed so my parents got him a friend. Now they have he aviary they're thinking of buying a couple more.

This is his younger friend
Are there any good aquarium or ocean simulation games? Most are goofy, cheesy shit with unrealistic fish and stupid decorations like treasure chests and plastic mermaids. I'm looking for something that will let me actually build a real system, preferably with editable environment also, since I can't have a large tank right now. AbyssRium is the best I've found so far, which is pretty sad since it's just a goofy phone app. I've literally been looking for these since I was a child and there's never been a good one that I know of. I don't care what platform it's for.
>>2390547
I don't know any besides that one. But it's pretty good.
Tfw abyssrium got an update months ago that doesn't work on your LG G4
If I were to get a dog, is there a reason outside of price not to feed it wet food?
I always feel bad for my friends' dogs who are restricted to dry kibble 24/7. I can't imagine what it would be like to eat Cheerios without milk for the rest of eternity.
Most of my friends' dogs that are restricted to kibble seem to pick away at their food, and leave it even as long as overnight. The other dogs that get at least some wet food or prepared human food seem to eat it excitedly.
I don't have a dog at the moment, so just wondering, were I to get one.
Most commercial kibble is garbage made out of some grain or other carb. Eating cheerios without milk for the rest of eternity is exactly what it is.
I feed my dog only wet food and meat scraps from cooking, he eats it all up happily whereas with kibble I have to stuff it into his mouth one by one for him to eat it at all.
My dogs get kibble and inhale their food down every time. I give them little tastes of my food but they never get anything more than that. I feed a decent brand (grain-free Fromm) and rotate flavors, so maybe that's why.

Most commercial dog food is garbage, don't kid yourself.
Do any of you have unneutered adult dogs? How is it? What is their temperament like? Have they undergone any alternative impotency procedures (vasectomy, zeuterin)? Tell me all about it.
The idea of neutering seems pretty barbaric to me, considering I treasure my manhood. I'm not comfortable with doing that to my dog, but I also know firsthand how valuable the temperament benefits can be - especially in the early years. So I'm curious to know just how much of an impact neutering really makes.
Dont project on to your dog
>>2389564
my guys act like every other dog. the whole "it makes them calmer" thing doesn't really seem to mean shit unless there's a bitch in heat nearby.
its good in that it prevents unwanted puppies and testicular problems. i don't get it done to mine because i'm a hillbilly and my idea of a pet is just an animal that shows up and decides free food = BFF
>>2389564
I own an intact dog.
If your first thought is to chop a dogs nuts off when it acts out from lack of training then you should not own dogs.
This fucking woodpecker is hammering away at a metal post on my deck all hours of the day. It won't fucking stop.
Why?
There are no fucking bugs in it.
Fuck I hate it.
Can woodpeckers hear bugs in the trees? Is it a gasline or something that could sound similar?
t. obviously has no idea what im talking about
Woodpeckers drum to communicate. He is trying to get hot bitches; can't fault him for trying. Drumming isnt restricted to wood, they will do it on anything that they think sounds cool.
Just try to cover the metal for the summer, it will go find something else to hit on.

/pp/ pocket pet genera. Rats, guinea pigs, hamsters and other small mammals.
Didn't see one up and I haven been here in a few months. But onto my issue. I adopted 2 male rats. The previous owner said jack was aggressive and bit her all the time. Once I got them, jack was a little skittish. He would squeak when I picked him up, but no biting. Now, I can pick him up no squeaking or even struggling.
I have only had females prior to adopting. The boys (they are of course in a separate cage than the females) have recently started fighting. My girls would have little scuffles but nothing like these boys are doing. Jack has an open wound in his back. He had one in his neck but it seemed to heal up overnight a few weeks ago. The other male (Simon) has cuts on his face, tail and nuts. I'm worried because my females NEVER draw blood, let alone leave open wounds.
Is this normal? Should I consider separation? I'm taking them off tap water and giving them spring. I read the fluoride in tap water could cause thyroid issues which leads to hormonal issues which leads to aggression.
They are about 6-7 months old. Help?
>>2389195
Is there any way you could separate them but still let them see each other? Maybe with a wire divider?
>>2389703
I could look for some type of wire divider. I was hoping it wouldn't come to that, but they are giving each other too many wounds. Do you think hardware cloth could work as a divider?
ther is smol mouse in my hous
if i fed it chees will it becom fren?
>>2389047
You could give him a chromosome since you spare one
If you give a mouse cheese he'll get thirsty and want wine.
>>2389047
No, but if you continue to talk like an idiot I'll smack you in the face with a thesaurus.

not op but you are correct
also i think crows and ravens destroy shit
>"the majority of dog attacks are by pitbulls!"
>been attacked on innumerable occasions by people's loose shitmutts in my town growing up
>It's always golden retrievers or chihuahuas or something really gay
>Even the stray pits are nice
>>2388652
Nice bait, I regularly poison any Un leashed, Un-chained Pitts I see. If they get to close for comfort I have a can of bear mace available when I got on walks. Works great and on all dogs not just Pitts.
>>2388657
What a fucking pussy. I don't even carry bear spray for actual bears.
>>2388657
>"Guys look! I said I poison dogs and hit them with bear mace when I go for a walk! Aren't I so cool and edgy like Sasuke?!"
this is unironically you.
also
>go on walks
>implying you leave your mother's basement

DADDY LONG LEGS
Is anyone here involved with anti farm people? If so what experience do you have with farms? What is the level of experience for your group? Why are you against us? I just want to understand where people are coming from on this issue. I am willing to discuss aspects of dairy farms that I have experience with.
Pic related, sensationalist caption about a mother kissing her child as it's taken. The cow was probably just trying to lick the birthing juices off the cow. If a mother doesn't want you taking the calf they will literally attack you. Things like this are why I want to know more. There are legitimate issues, but things that sensationalize nonsense only alienate people in the industry when we are demonized.
It's pretty fucking cruel yet our society basically needs the slaughter to remain functioning without disturbances to regular normie life.
>>2378699
What aspects do you consider cruel?
>>2378697
Hello! I'm neither for nor against farms. I don't know much about them in general, so i'd like to learn more. I believe that using animals for products is perfectly fine as long as they are treated ethically and don't suffer.
Are cows on dairy farms treated well? Do they have clean space to graze and roam? What happens when they get old? What happens to their calves?
>your country
>do you believe in evolution?
Considering this board has daily feather vs scale paleofag debates whenever /aq/fag gets butthurt at his own failure of a life I'd say yeah, we're pretty evolutionist.

Russia
I'm of the opinion that if you don't believe in evolution you are subhuman
A frighteningly large amount of Americans do not "believe" in evolution
Have you ever stole a animal /an/?

Yes
>Neighbor has this fucking little bully pupper bought for his kids
>WTF can't have his kids mauled before I molest them
>Kids are enjoying life with their pupper, teaching it tricks and shit
>One day they let it out to play
>Mychance
>Jump over fence like a nigger (I am aryan Mexican btw)
>Bully is mad, sad and rad at the same time
>Punt it
>Grab it
>Take it
>Put it in my basement
>MFW I realize how tight this dog's ass is
>Fuck it like there's no tomorrow without lube
>It's fucking enjoying it
>It's so fucking tight I might have ripped the little mutt's anus
>Come inside
>Realize that I could be fucking dogs instead of kids
>Fuckyeahnigger.jpeg

>Give him back dog and offer him the dog food I bought
>He says no thank you
>Leaves with pooter
