How about instead of posting pictures, you take responsibility for your animal and make sure it's not an inconvenience to others, or a danger to itself?

Nevermind, I really wasn't expecting a catfag to practice common sense.

Does anyone have any experience with c&c cages? Would you like to share your cage builds?

I'm going to be making one soon and would appreciate any tips that can be given

It's really easy. Zip tie the pieces together in addition to the included connecting plastic things for extra strength. When cutting coroplast to size, score only one side so the bottom and sides are still connected. You will have better water retention that way.
>>
>>2395894
So when scoring the coroplast I only cut into half of the area I want to fold, not all the way through? I was going to cut it and hot glue it back together. I'm putting a hedgehog in it so I don't think it will need to weather a flood.
>>
>>2395894
I had a bitch of a time with the plastic bits. I just used zip ties only. It felt like the plastic bits wouldn't actually hold it at all, like it was just for show. Of course my cage was from 15 years ago, they probably make the shelving things different now.

So my neighbor next door has a cat that pretty much the whole neighborhood wants dead. He never keeps her indoors, she shits/pisses everywhere especially near windows, leaves half-dead skinned animals everywhere, digs holes in gardens/makes a mess, runs into houses and cars- the basic shitty outdoor cat stuff that owners let happen. I love all animals and don't want any harm to come to this cat, especially since I know the people behind us are leaving poison out in their yard for this cat. I have asked several times for him to please keep her indoors, but to no avail. The people across the street asked him to pay for their landscaping they just had done only to have the flowers buried hours later by his cat, again to no avail. He said "well there's nothing I can do, she sees it as a big litterbox so maybe you shouldn't get your yard done". I want this cat gone, but not dead. The main problem I have is this cat loves to run into my house whenever I open the door, and I have a pet conure who has an open-top cage. Several times I had to leave in the middle of class because my dad called me saying he opened the door to get the mail and the cat ran in, going upstairs where my bird is and my dad is disabled and can't go upstairs.Yesterday, I didn't notice the cat running in AGAIN, and tripped over her in my kitchen, landing hard on my right thigh. I'm bruised up and thought what would've happened if it were my dad who fell or what if she injures my conure? Is there anything I can do to get this cat out of this neighborhood who wants her dead? My town has a crappy animal control service that will catch and euthanize her after a few days and I don't want that. Months ago one of his cats went missing for several days, he found it back at the pound, put it back outside when he got home, and by the end of the day a truck had run it over (his other 6 cats all died by getting run over). What should I do? Pic related, it's one of the birds she left dying in the grass

>don't want cat dead

Pick one. Cats are shitty pets anyway imo.
>>
Trap it and release it in some other neighbourhood far away to wreak havoc there. If they're just letting their cat run around and do terrible shit like that with no problem, it's not like they'll notice it's gone.

I don't want to release it in another neighborhood because she will keep killing animals for fun, also there's a feral cat problem around town and I don't want to add to it

Live trap w/bait in your garden.
You can close the door on a simple box trap when you let your cats out, which is probably what is attracting the stray and the reason it's marking your garden.
>>
Piss around your garden. I'm serious. Eat some asparagus or drink coffee then pee in a cup until you have enough and pour it around the garden, at least 1ft around it.
>>
>>2397471
Put up an electric fence. It doesn't need to be expensive. It only needs to be 1 strand of wire at nose height to a cat. That normally stops all cats. Though, if you had outside cats that you pet on, they would find a way over/under the wire just to get to you.

According to my google-fu it's probably a say's firefly, but it's not the normal type that i've always seen around here.
It glows very brightly in short bursts unlike the fireflies i'm used to.

Hey /an/ long time no see. Can we get a thread for Florida Wildlife please?
This is my first time down here and I caught my first brown anole. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for other reptiles but so far I've only been seeing these guys and maybe one gecko. Aside from reptiles, this morning I came across a stingray (not sure what species, I'll look it up later), some cormorants and laughing gulls.

It needs more room than you gave it, it will claim you are oppressing it very soon.

what questions do you have? they are wonderful pets. dont love long and vet bills potentially can be high. food can be costly as you have to buy it online. they need a good size cage, but can usually be found for cheap on craigslist. they can eat a lot of fruits and veggies. they are affectionate.

Help me /an/.

I can get Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy (boy)for free (friend is a breeder and she owed me some cash).
They are reputable breeders and puppy already has everything done that is required.

The thing is, anyone here can vouch for these?
I read online that they just look mean and are basically big goofs, but still with the Pitbull scare craze...

Also it would be my first dog ever.
I live in flat that has dog park like 50 meters away.

How old this that puppy? It looks too young to be away from its mom

this dog is nothing to be scared of they are just big sweet babies. They take a little bit longer to train but once they hit about 1 year they got it.

Do you think it's possible to teach an animal to have a sense of time as we understand it? Or at least give them a general sense?
11 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>2396058
Many animals (even fish) can be taught to recognize when something happens at a certain time of day. Anything less frequent than that but more frequent than seasonally (eg a week, month) is going to be very artificial, so there's less of a chance they'll understand it.
>>
> as we understand it
how?
>>

I'd assume
>seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years

instead of
>morning, day, evening, night, moon cycles, seasons

Is there anything wrong with eating dog meat, as long as they are explicitly bred for consumption?
62 posts and 8 images submitted.
>>
>>2395916
It matters on how it was raised, culled and cooked as well. but no, seems fine as far as protein sources. but ask yourself as a cook and a person do you have the skill to raise a happy healthy meat dog, cull it properly, then cook it well enough to do it justice?
>>
it's no more cruel than eating pigs, which are pretty smart and emotional animals as well
But what's really wrong with it is that they don't fucking taste good, and they don't have a good texture either. Fucking gooks only eat them because of the same chinese "medicine" retardation that makes them eat the poop of young boys (not joking). It's a complete nonsense practice.
>>
>>2395922
after all you don't want to take a good meat animal, raise it wrong, cull it horrifyingly wrong and end up with a crap quality dish.
