Had plans with a platonic friend for this weekend. She told me today she might have to cancel on them. There's also a girl in one of my classes that I think is cute and I've been meaning to talk to more. If my friend can't go, I'm going to try to go with the girl in my class. The problem is, I don't know when my friend will say for sure if she can go or not. I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to push her out of hanging out with me, but at the same time I'm pretty sure that she won't be able to hang out, and I don't want to wait so long that the girl in my class makes plans for this weekend.

Will I ever stop liking younger girls?
I'm 28, almost 29, and it seems my taste in women hasn't really changed since I was 18.
Girls are just BETTER in the 17-19 range. They're spunky. They're fun. Their bodies are still tight. They like to have fun. They aren't jaded or bitter.

How can most people be so okay with not knowing who we are, what we are, how and why we exist, what the point of our life is?
I mean I sort of understand it for religious people, they took some set of answers for a few things and accepted them. But religion doesn't answer a ton of things, and that's not counting atheists. I'm somewhat religious myself but I have a ton of doubts and I'm always worried about this. How can we as people care so much about mundane stuff like getting up early to go to the office or what clothes to wear today, when we don't even know who we are and how we came to exist?
What worries me the most is how other people say they don't care about this (except for some 2 minute philosophical moment) and are totally okay living like this. And they just give some dumb answer like "we exist to be happy", that means nothing.
I know philosophy leads to nowhere but how come people can deal with that so easily and I can't? Why are people so at peace with their ignorance about the universe?

Heyo. I asked this in another thread, but I want to make my own for the sake of hopefully getting more feedback.
So, for background:

Now, as an aside, I've never been good at making romantic intentions clear. I'm a friendly person by nature, but my 'flirting' comes off as just funny or silly conversation. I need to make my intentions for dating clear now. I don't want to end up 'friendzoned' or waiting too long like a coward.
What sort of approach do you think I should take to make myself clear? I thought of saying something like "I'm really interested in you, and not just as a friend", but the general consensus in the thread was that that would come across as a bit creepy.
Please give me your thoughts. (Preferably a female perspective, but any and all advice is great)

She's broken the touch barrier on her own which was really encouraging. Both when we met for coffee and when we split, she gave me a frontal hug. However, she also did that when we first 'reunited' after the seminar I went to. I can't tell whether it's just a greeting she does or if she's trying to make a statement

Hey /adv/ I need some help here. Me and my girlfriend are going on two years now. We moved in together after being long distance for half a year. We have an apartment and share all of the bills. Okay, so yesterday, I accidentally opened a former roommate's mail, and found that it was a GST/HST return check.
