The last girlfriend I thought I "loved" I had 2 years ago. It takes me a long time to find this kind of relationship, and so maybe you can see why I don't want to just say "fuck it."

I know a LDR will crash and burn like it did with the other guy she met. I want to maintain minimum contact, keep our familiarity alive, so that when/if I see her again we aren't strangers and I can rekindle what we once had.

Therapists suck most of the time. I went to a therapist for 5 years and it did absolutely nothing for me. Now I'm still a virgin, still miserable, and I have no friends and some money to keep me alive and entertained. Only good thing is the therapist brought some great fucking snacks.

In today's social climate, making new friends is harder than ever. I made some when i went to college, and it wasn't too hard.

But, I would focus on studying and working more than socializing. College wasn't made to hang out or socialize, it is a place of study and work and learning. Media and mainstream society has made it seem like college is supposed to be this one big social intellectual party palace. It's not, just focus on what's important.
