I beat BoF I a few days ago and now i want to play the rest of the series in order.

I've seen a lot of people here mention that the original translation released in the US was terrible and that there is a fan retranslation and patched that is a million times better.

Where can i find this retranslation/patch? Is it really worth it?

nonexistent, first game is a childhood classic though.

Gameplay is a lot worse than in the first. Also it lags a tons in co-op which is a shame.

The problem is he didn't think the world or anything in it was real rather than actually attempting to understand it.
Even worse so was the fact the sequel confirmed it was it's own world and everything they did had a real effect there.

I mean, its all quite varied with these old PC games. Even between tracks in the same game, different sound devices sound better than others.

It's one of those games that's only really fun with friends, so I understand why you didn't enjoy it.

Non-retro version is better, just don't play it on your own. The game literally insults you for having no friends.

Yamaha synthesizers bro, they were all over popular music in the late 80s and early 90s. Same synth that it's in the Mega Drive, and as Sonic games often went for a hip-hop sound it leads to it all sounding very familiar.
