Trigger /vr/.

>implying dvrfags aren't just trolling at this point
>>3508391
There's like one guy who gets triggered by and he's clinically retarded. Unless you're talking about the shit midway ports but also no one here really cares and there's no reason to play shitty PSX ports at all these days.
Does it support a trackball or mouse? Or at least support Dual Analog?
What about this game was so terrible that it made everyone call it the worst RPG on the playstation?
It's essentially the prototype to golden sun and I had a lot of fun with it as a kid, and don't really get its reputation, what gives?
>>3508127
Short as fuck and boring. Golden Sun also sucked. Being a prototype for that game isn't good in any way.
>>3508127
It's a massive cliche pileup and has no real difficulty or innovation to speak of. It was just really dull.
>>3508127
>Worst RPG on the Playstation
>Not LoD
Who ARE these people?
Retro Dark Fantasy Games
>>3508024
I've been planning on buying one of those nes FF7 carts off aliexpress lately, but what other good de-makes are there out there you can put on your shelf? I would even throw Master System versions of popular Genesis games into this category, playing sonic in 8bit after growing up 16 feels like playing a de-make.
>>3508036
The Immortal
Faxanadu
Blood Omen
Soul Reaver
Nightmare Creatures
Rune
TES Battlespire
Anvil of Dawn
Hexen 1 & 2
Heretic 1 & 2
Ultima 8
Stonekeep (maybe)
Shadow Tower

>Why aren't you playing Streets of Rage 2 Sonic and Miku right now?
I mean, it's great that SEGA's supporting hacks and stuff but I still ain't buying a fucking ROM on Steam.
ITT: Retro games only cucks hate
Pic related. My favorite Ultima entry.
You think reposting makes your weak bait better?
>>3507910
What's b8y about this?
>>3507918
Calling anyone who doesn't like an unfinished game with glaring design oversights (like literally every single chest being booby trapped) a cuckold.
It's not entirely terrible, but it's not very good and is hard to argue as being a superior game to 4, 5, 6, 7, or even the NES version of 3.
It's more playable than 9, partially because of its brevity, and some people may find 1 and 2 to be too archaic to go back to, but Pagan is a deeply flawed game.
what are some retro games with amputees
>>3507886

Can someone find me a working iso/bin for this game?
I tried coolrom, emuparadise, and some digimon website with every iso and rom for every game ever, but none of these 3 worked, emulators just stay all black. If i convert to PSP it says file corrupt.
(not to be confused with it's localized sequel "digimon world digital card arena" which is known as "digimon digital card battle" here)
the emuaradise one worked fine for me
>>3508437
which emulator are you using?
perhaps you downloaded a jap bios?
was it a .bin or a .ecm?
please let me know more details so i can debug this shit
>>3508437
the jap bios did it, not imma try to make it run on psp
We can all agree that isometric platforms (like Solstice and Knight Lore) were a terrible idea, right?
Mario RPG was awesome, you ignorant slut

They were. Only people blinded by nostalgia would argue otherwise.
Been looking for this particular game for years, first played it on PC in the late 90s from a CD but I forgot the title.
It's set in a sci-fi future and you walk around this 3D city environment in first person view. The encounters you have in the game are all videos of irl actors in the 3D space, similar to C&C Red Alert.
There is a story/adventure going on. Pls help I've been looking for this for over a decade and still can't find any trace of it anywhere.

Newer or older than Tex Murphy or Burncycle?

What's a good starting place for a new character in an RPG?
Usually it seems to be amnesia to help tell the story and setting to newbies, but any ideas would be appreciated
In the middle of traveling, on the road, being pestered by a friendly, yet overly talkative stranger.
Be a kid leaving home on a new adventure in the world. Japan with everything they make has me believe kids just do that there.

Keyboard or gamepad?
>>3507598
It depends on the game.
I hold my keyboard like a joystick.
>>3507598
it takes more work to reach for a controller than a keyboard. you can not disprove this.
Do you still have any of your old videogame toys, /vr/?
I have a Dratini beanie baby thing that I got from KFC back in the day.

Which version of SMT is the best one to play? I'm just gonna be emulating it if it matters.
Well, start with what you prefer in an RPG, and use that to find your objectively better version.
That's all to it really
>>3507552
wat
no I mean I wanna play SMT 1 and I donno which version to play, there's like 5 ports. I was gonna default to the PS1 version.
Can you read Japanese?
If so:
PSX version

How was gaming in Korea pre-Starcraft?
>>3507514
I know people hate this site, but it really has the best information on the subject.
http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/korea/korea.htm
Short answer: In the South, there was a rich game history of PC games that is worth looking into and trying out. In the North, they had arcades and famiclones. However, North Korean Flash games in the 2000's suggest their likely was some PC game dev history prior.
