I just downloaded GTA 2 and have the blast of a century.
I played it religiously back then on my PSX but never on PC until a few years ago and I was astonished how shitty the PSX port really was.
The PC version has shitty controller support though and I didn't want to look into programs until now and it's just like back then but a hundred times better!
I guess mostly because my english is finally good enough to understand everything.
Did you ever play it? What was your favorite gang? Best mission?
If you never played it, just give it a try! It's free by now and it's delicious!

GTA II was awesome. Pure mindless fun. It doesnt have a lot of depth but it is fun for a few hours,
Best gangs are the crazy ones or mad scientist.
fair warning the game is pretty hard.
I loved to get a tank then upgrade it with oil slicks mines and machine guns it was a good time
I don't care, I'm going to celebrate this weekend.
Join me if you want.
You don't care about what?
What is it that you're celebrating?

Dreamcast is Sega's second best console.
What are the 10 most influential games from AMERICA? I've come up with this list of 9 (in no particular order).
PONG
Wolfenstein 3D
Doom
Mortal Kombat
Wizardry
Ultima IV
Ultima Online
World of Warcraft
Wing Commander
No Sid Meier games?
Drop WoW because it's not retro.
MK feels more like a product of its time than truly influential.
Yeah, add Civilization, add Maniac Mansion or King's Quest, drop WoW, drop Mortal Kombat
Def add King's Quest and Civ. Drop WoW.
Just played through CT again and for the first time I saw the real face on this. Did anyone here think it was like the left side? I googled to see if anyone else made this first and couldn't find it. Damn.
If you have any more, post em'.

PuLiRuLa is the quintessential quirky japanese belt scroller/beat 'em up. It reminds me of the simpson games, kinda.

Kawazu announced that SaGa Scarlet Grace is currently in debugging phase, more news and possibly a new trailer at TGS 2016 next month
http://gematsu.com/2016/08/saga-scarlet-grace-news-due-around-tgs-2016
I was looking through my playstation games and realized that I had SaGa frontier 1 and 2. Which should I start? I remember at least one of these having problems...
>>3410354
Play 1 first, if you're not familiar with the series.
I love both games, but 1 has a special place in my heart for both being a throwback to the Game Boy series, and for (despite being a rushed release and neutered because of it) having a very interesting setting.
If you like it, then move on to SaGa Frontier 2, but be advised it's a completely different game on nearly all counts. Still very enjoyable, and to this day one of the most beautiful 2D games I've ever seen.

I should really give RS2 another swing. I guess now that it's been updated, maybe the translation will be a little better (though the real reason I stopped playing was cuz I got fucked).
Does old nintendo have the same problem with slowdowns super nintendo has?
Seems like every game has it in at least one situation

What are some retro games where people get inflated
>>3503959
Darkstalkers
Those poor fuckers in Theme Hospital with bloated heads, who have them popped, then reinflated to normal size.
One of Kabal's fatalities in Mortal Kombat 3.
>>3503959
Unreal Tournament
Video games where you play as a celebrity or a celebrity makes an appearance.

I hate how people nowadays act like this was a horrible game simply because we all now know he may have been a pedo. The game was average at worst.

This sounds about right, though I think Bubblegloop Swamp is pretty cool.
Now that I think about it, every level in that game is great. The only one I really dislike is Rusty Bucket Bay.

so, I'm not an old school gamer, but I've recently inherrited a couple older game machines, and I really liked some games that supposedly play like old school games (you have to win the game, rogue legacy, super meat boy, dark maus) and I wanted to know if any of you guys have suggestoins.
I'm willing to play hard games, but if were talking about games made exceedingly hard just because, then I don't want it
if you want to gt a veiw on my tastes, then pick related, however I also like rogue likes
Ghosts n' Goblins
If you like Dark Souls then Super Metroid and the first two Zeldas should be right up your alley.
I also recommend the Contra games.

Pastebin/FAQ/etc to be added if this general is successful.
Voodoo 2 SLi does a surprisingly good job with Max Payne, even at 1024x768, except for some serious frame drops in wide open areas.
But in smaller areas? Feels like 60 fps at times.

ITTN: Comfy as fuck game covers.
Beat this.
comfy af desu senpai
This is probably breaking the rules of the thread but the original Game Boy box is full on 80's future-fash comfy.
How can a cover be comfy? Is this satire? You need to get into oil paintings or something.
Some of you guys are alright. Don't go to the Fantasy Zone tomorrow.
