Honestly, I'm thinking Custom Biotics's problem is - same as with every HB ID - not so much inherent lack of value of the ID itself as much as the long dark shadow of EtF spoiling the waters for everyone else.

To expend on that; you could always make pretty decent kill decks with CB, borrowing enough tagging from NBN, enough damage from W, and mixing in the click-shenanigans that are part of HB's color pie.

Those decks would always suffer comparison with tighter, non-specialized decks with a much more limited back-up killing plan and the ridiculous economy of EtF, whether they wer going for a glacier or FA approach.

What I'm wondering right now with the expended card pool for that ID is board control. But it's not on my priority list for testing.

It is 44 years since the Battle of Mirbat, during the Dhofar Rebellion in Oman, where 9 SAS troopers repelled an attack by 300 communist South Yemeni guerillas.

At 0600 the guerillas attacked the British Army Training Team (BATT) house, which housed the nine SAS soldiers, based just outside the Port of Mirbat. The guerillas (locally known as the Adoo) attacked knowing that to be able to reach the Port of Mirbat they would first have to defeat the SAS guarding the approach to the town in Jebel Ali.

The OC, Captain Mike Kealy, observed the waves advancing on the fort, but at first did not order his men to open fire because he thought it was the "Night Picket" coming back from night shift. The Night Picket were a loyal group of the Omani Army positioned on the slopes to warn the BATT house of Adoo troop movements. Realising that the Night Picket must have been killed, Kealy ordered his men to open fire. Kealy along with other members of the team took up positions behind the sand-bag parapet on the roof of the BATT house, firing at the Adoo with L1A1 SLR rifles, with one man firing the Browning M2HB heavy machine gun, with a further two men on ground level operating and firing an infantry mortar surrounded by sand-bags. The Adoo were armed with AK-47 assault rifles, and were mortar bombing the area around the BATT house. Kealy ordered the signaller to establish communications with SAS Headquarters at Um al Quarif, to request reinforcements.

There were a small number of Omani Intelligence Service personnel in the BATT House, a small contingent of Pakistani soldiers and a member of British Military Intelligence seconded to the OIS. They joined the team on the roof and fired on the Adoo with SLRs and other small arms. Initially some of the Pakistani soldiers were reluctant to join the defence of the fort because their roles with the BATT were largely administrative, but they obeyed orders from Mike Kealy and the British Military Intelligence Corporal.

It however does not go as planned, The English were used to War and with the a larger and more aggressive population as a whole to face, the Normans conquest was significantly slowed. However it was not in anyway stopped, seeing the Normans slowly rolled over and claimed England as there own many of it’s inhabitants once again looked to the fabled lands of Asgard for Savior and so the headed West once more. Only to Find Asgard’s Sister. An island along the rift which gave birth to Iceland and inhabited by some of the more tame magical beings it served a haven for tens of thousands of refugees escaping from the Normans.

2 - And so he does. During his work, Fraigh commissions some of the local masons to carve special milestones to be placed in the wall at certain points along its length. The stones would feature scenes from Celtic mythology, the tales of the building of Tara and its courts. Runes in ogham would be etched into them, to tell the story. The meaning was clear; Fraigh was comparing the new Settlement to the ancient and sacred city of Tara, and himself to the first High Kings who constructed it. Such a move would surely bolster his public opinion and aid his campaign.

“But do you really have to attack her to do it?” Ichigo asks. The boy still has his doubts about this plan, and who wouldn't? For an average person the thought of having to face off against a Captain is the stuff of nightmares, after all, and unlike the average person Ichigo actually understands how stupidly powerful Captains are.

You shake your head as a plan forms in your mind. “No, I don't. Because anyone would do, really.”

Ichigo's eyes narrow at you. “You mean you want us to attack her?”

“That's the point,” you repeat, calmly allowing him to glare at you as much as he likes. “If you're not comfortable with me doing it, then it has to be you. But we may not have much time to argue: you came to me for help, and I'm telling you this is the only way to awaken her powers quickly enough for it to matter.”

“Or would you rather let others keep placing themselves in danger to protect you?” you ask, staring straight into Senna's eyes. After a moment hers harden with a newfound resolve: she's made her decision.
