I actually think elves are cool, I just hate the Tolkien part.

I'm a huge nerd.
I started watching "Roll 20" a webshow about professional voice actors playing DnD.

I realized, watching other people be nerdy makes me feel REALLY uncomfortable.

Mostly have runs set during the afternoon or night "get in kid, we're going to commit crimes".

With a few instances where it MUST be done during the day, meaning the kid has to pretend to be home sick, skip school, or miss out on that particular event.

Works better for a type of character who can work remotely, the Kid Decker is a classic for a reason. Also come up with a few good events for how school's going to interfere with his job.

e.g.
The run involves someone he knows, he's got to disguise himself better, or perhaps they decide to use it as leverage against him.
Perhaps the whole "run only at night" thing breaks down and there's a daytime mission, but he can't skip school, and he's got to do his job remotely while dodging teachers, or pretending to pay attention in class.

I love the concept of a Kid Hacker. Only problem is the only recent examples I've seen in stuff like Shadowrun have been insufferable.

>kicked a half-elf girl in the middle of the street at midnight because he mistook her crying at night for her dead friends was her summoning a Daemon. later calls it investigating

Last event was the final straw for the town and other PCs. Eventually got charged with attempted rape and murder, and was hung. Body was mutilated, remains put on display in a cage outside of town that stood for centuries until the next campaign in the same setting. Player didn't come back until the second story.

A monotheism could probably become a hentheism (one god with many aspects, who are distinct personalities, e.g Hinduism). One could argue (trigger warning, Christfags) that Christianity is nearly an example since it has the Trinity with Jesus, God and the Sacred Spook. Take a look at Gnostic Christianity for inspiration too maybe, I'm not totally familiar with it but I believe it split Jehovah into several aspects that embodied different metaphysical concepts.

If your setting has deities that are in regular, open contact with mortals, then you could literally just have another god show up, or the one god split into several beings. Fiat that however you like, come up with some cool weird backstory for how and why.

OP here, but hmm... I posted that question even though I am unsure myself what might be the most unique mechanic in my game...

Probably my "exit flag"-system.

My system works on three different wound meters, for Physical, Social and Mental damage. So, in conflict (basically combat, but because it is RISUS-style, meaning very open-ended as to how you compete or fight), you get inflicted with wounds, and when you get wounds, you roll your passive stat die (Toughness, willpower, composure) against the amount of wounds you have.

Roll over, nothing happens. Roll under, you get an exit flag. Exit flag means your character must exit the conflict in some way, appropriate to how you got it (Getting a social exit flag could for example be giving up, where as physical could be fainting).
However, there is no time limit when this exit must happen, there are only two rules:
1) The longer you take to make your exit, the more climactic / anticlimactic it must be
2) If you get two exit flags, you're bound to get permanent injuries. If you manage to get all three, gods help you.

Yes, there are both, though they both cause social wounds, instead of mental battles causing mental wounds.

Yeah, I could see a character's reputation being ruined as a result of a fucked up social battle. Maybe I should reimplement that reputation mechanic I had in that other game... Or I can keep with the current system that the characters get detriments to their rolls for x time if they get defeated, because they simply lose their cool, maybe for days even.

I don't know. It looks like the tools are there, but the problems with spirits decks are they don't play CoCo or Dromoka's Command. Those two cards just dominate the format.

The facility itself is actually a private distillery that produces hard liquor to Haxton Guye’s exacting standards. The distillery is guarded by an elite Guye Co. mecha squad consisting of it’s signature mecha: a batman, wimp and pugilist. Now the pugilist is not an ordinary one; it’s actually a custom experimental model known as the Puglist-X. The intel department tells me that it was actually a test bed for a lot of stuff that would eventually be toned down to make the production model. This means that it’s capabilities exceed a normal pugilist’s, Tragedy got a lot of pictures but we can only figure out so much about what it’s packing. It seems to have reactive armour, extra punching arms and a pair of power fists that definitely aren’t the standard model. There are also rumours that it has some kind of long ranged attack, but I have no idea what that might be since I can’t see any kind of sniper weapon on it. More likely the former. The War is a subtle thing were celestials try to win mortal souls for their side, and most people are going to assume you're going to play along with that. Then there's the fact that it will take you a while to build up a suitable force of angelic servitors to make a large difference anyway. Some demons might even be glad that you're there, depending on your politics. Andrealphus and the other Princes who want to keep things at a stalemate so the flow of human souls doesn't get disrupted might be thrilled to hear there's someone else in Heaven to help talk down the more militant Archangels for example.

On the other hand, if you start to make big waves, especially by bringing in out of setting powers, everyone will sit up and take notice. The last couple of times a Demon Prince got too powerful and started to conquer Earth on their own, both sides teamed up against them, and it might happen again if people get too scared of you. So really it's down to how you present yourself.
