If I could be anything in 40k I'd be a bolter shell. I want to lie naked and greasy in a magazine with my cylindrical brethren, squeezed in like sardines. I want to watch jealously as those above me are pushed into the bolter's chamber and fired one by one, and I'd quiver with anticipation as my own turn neared. When my time came, I'd be thrust roughly into the chamber and, without preamble or foreplay, be jolted hard from behind as the firing pin pistoned into me. As my propellant began to squirt shamelessly from my casing-anus, I would be pumped deep down the well-used barrel of the bolter by the expanding gases, roaring with unleashed joy. Leaving the muzzle with a loud thump, I would know the ecstacy of hurtling through the air on a column of anal fire, joyously blazing headlong towards my destructive climax. When I hit my target I'd plough into their flesh with abandon, all thought lost except to get inside them as deeply as possible. Then I'd end my existence with an orgasmic explosion, my slutty shrapnel shredding through meat and bone, my lewd blast pressure creating a gaping wet hole, both my duty and my pleasure consumated with my death. Hail the Armorium!

The thing that scares me about this post is not what you wrote. It's not even the possibility you might actually mean it. It's the fact that even if you did, it still wouldn't make it into the top 10 of the most bizarre things I've seen on this very board.
'Lo there, here visiting from faraway lands after years of lurkmoar. Ever since I was brought into a father/sons oneshot D&D campaign as a wee bab, I've been really interested in TGs but sadly, have not had much opportunity to get my start aside from some online games that died stillborn and some ill-advised and overambitious projects I threw together with my limited knowledge of DMing.
Was hoping that some of the elder neckbeards on here might be willing to give some sage wisdom on breaking into the traditional gaming without much prior experience.
I've amassed a decent collection of gamebooks inherited from dear old dad or bought on a whim on the cheap. List below
>D&D 3.5 + 4e core set (Monster manual, Player & DM handbook)
>Stars Without Number core PDF
>Most oWoD & CoD gamelines
> Basically anything printed for GURPS (learned the hard way it wasn't a beginner's game)

The best way to learn is to do it.
Find a group recruiting, or make a group with your friends. I'd personally recommend against 3.5 (or its clone, Pathfinder) as your first game, despite its popularity, but if you find a good group you feel comfortable with, give it a go whatever they are playing.
The best advice I can give is this.
Don't be afraid to bend the rules some.
Anyone ever create other fictitious organizations for your own delta green games? Also Delta green General I guess
I've been working on a fictional Norwegian one created by real-world co-founder of the Norwegian WWII resistance and former British spy in the Dutch East Indies Lauritz Sand. During the war it helped PISCES destroy Deep One holdings off the coast of Norway and helped Delta Green agent and future CIA director William Colby kill resuscitated casualties in Trondheim. Colby built up the organization as part of the Norwegian Stay Behind programme in 1952 to spy on Smerch (actually GRU SV-8) and it engaged in a series of brutal extrajudicial murders until finally shut down in 1982 after being possibly involved in shooting down an airliner during a military exercise and an investigation in Antarctica that ended with the entire team dead and a US Antarctic base as collateral.
When the Norwegian government launched an investigation into the sordid past of its secret services in 1994, the Norwegian Intelligence Service decided to sweep the entire thing under the rug by ressurecting the organization to protect Norway's military forces from ghouls hunting freely among the carnage in Yugoslavia. Since then the group has been running counter-espionage against GRU-SV8 and supporting US counter-occult operations in Afghanistan.
Playing 5E, and wife said she wants to start a 1 night only DnD Campaign with fun characters. So anything is on the table, for fun and goofy. Figured I'd try a Lawful Evil Cleric (Since I am playing a LG Cleric in the upcoming Campaign)
Any Ideas Anon?

What wep/armor are you picturing?
The Lord Commando Vaako, typically portrayed as grim, efficient, hard and capable with little (not no) regard for the feelings of others.
Could the Chaos Gods BTFO the Tyranids?
Suppose they cared about their complete and utter annihilation, could they do it and how?
Asking for a friend.
>>49879792
No. The Chaosfags are going to tell you otherwise, but the answer is no. The Chaos Gods can't just snap their fingers and have all their dreams come true, they gotta fight for it like every other Warhammer faction.
>>49879792
They would charge up into Super Saiya-Jin God Mode, and then their power levels would rise and rise until their numbers were bigger than the numbers of any others, and they would become S-RANKED GOD CARDS and they would win because they would have bigger numbers!
>>49879792
>Could the Chaos Gods BTFO the Tyranids?
Yes.
>could they do it and how?
Blow up the Hivemind.
>>49879862
>the answer is no. The Chaos Gods can't just snap their fingers and have all their dreams come true
He didn't ask if they could just snap their fingers, he asked if they could defeat them and the answer is yes. Chaos is the most powerful faction, so one on one they could defeat anyone else.
Post campaign ideas you've had, but haven't fleshed out/ can't play.
I'm thinking of a American Civil War-era campaign wherein American Civil Religion, in particular the idea of the US as another biblical Israel, is taken literally. A lot of allusions, parallelism, and spiritual stuff happening. I have nothing for a story right now, but I'm thinking of an adventure that's a cross-country trek occasionally intersecting with the apocalyptic warfare and the divine or demonic.

"exploring the hidden land"
I want to play it but probably never will
>civil war era
either side regularly hid vaults of resources. it could be your party is on an expedition to hide a cart-load of artifacts. they need to defend the payload all the way to a hidden vault under a hillthe vault is an old burial mound, it may be haunted/magicalartifacts aren't entirely mundanetheir side intends for them to die at the end of the joba small team of enemy combatants was sent to retrieve the payload........................aliens.........................
I really want to do a "planescape" campaign, except it's during a time when most Primes and Planar technologies have upgraded to the 1940's (And styles).
Do some gritty/noir detect lite story.
Probably not the d20 system. I want guns to be more common place.
4 old farts race against the doom of reality to tell the BBEG to get off their collective lawns. It's actually a philosophical treatise on the worthlessness of forever, the value of fragility, and the immortality of entropy. At the end of the campaign, win or lose, the characters that understood the material ascend to become the creators of a new universe

Why would I ever do that? Do you really understand the nature of the question you just asked? I can't even fathom the idea of playing a game with someone who is That Guy, This Guy, and every other possible Guy you could ever conceive.

A diceless system, for starters.
Anybody ever play RPG's or wargames using Army Men as miniatures?
I find them to be a cheaper and easier to find alternative to most modern military minis and if you're lacking the appropriate minis, they can do in a pinch for a quick substitute.
Also, anyone ever consider making a homebrew RPG or wargame centered around Army Men as protagonists? Sort of like Toy Story or those old Army Men PS1 games.
>>49875732
Can't say that I have, but I do agree that cheap Army men and similar toys do make for good replacement miniatures for your home games if you're in a hurry or otherwise short-staffed.
I'd play an Army Men tabletop game.

>Half-elves are the dominant race.
>Humans and elves are almost extinct.
Racism, yes or no?
I don't quite get what this has to do with racism.
>>49875395
>humans, elves, and half-elves no longer exist
>just "humans" with varying degrees of elf heritage
>>49875395
There is always going to be racism or at least some form of bigotry. Be they those frozen-dicked northern inbreds, or those coastal thieving fish-fuckers.
Seriously, there's enough variations in human and elvish ethnicities to still have racism among half-elves.
