Delta Green

I've been working on a fictional Norwegian one created by real-world co-founder of the Norwegian WWII resistance and former British spy in the Dutch East Indies Lauritz Sand. During the war it helped PISCES destroy Deep One holdings off the coast of Norway and helped Delta Green agent and future CIA director William Colby kill resuscitated casualties in Trondheim. Colby built up the organization as part of the Norwegian Stay Behind programme in 1952 to spy on Smerch (actually GRU SV-8) and it engaged in a series of brutal extrajudicial murders until finally shut down in 1982 after being possibly involved in shooting down an airliner during a military exercise and an investigation in Antarctica that ended with the entire team dead and a US Antarctic base as collateral.

When the Norwegian government launched an investigation into the sordid past of its secret services in 1994, the Norwegian Intelligence Service decided to sweep the entire thing under the rug by ressurecting the organization to protect Norway's military forces from ghouls hunting freely among the carnage in Yugoslavia. Since then the group has been running counter-espionage against GRU-SV8 and supporting US counter-occult operations in Afghanistan.

Ok so I fucked up.
The other night some anon posted an idea about breaking into a house so I took that (thanks anon!) and ran it with my group. The mistakes that I made
>Let a player have mild latent mindreading tendencies (usually limited to monosylablles)
>Gave said character a seizure almost immediately upon breaking into the house because of spoopy screaming
>let the characters communicate over sms
>had the person whose house they're breaking into (who is apparently in tahiti) text them saying WHY ARE YOU IN MY HOUSE
>Did not pay equal attention to the group.

Well, now they're in a Green Box a good mile away from the house. The next day, they plan to steal a fumigator truck and gas the entire building with bleach+ammonia. Oh, and having stolen files off the homeowner, they've discovered he has terabytes of child porn.

I think I really really fucked up pacing.
I also think that I"m going to let their plans happen and then sicc MJ-12 on them.

There is one character I'm genuinely interested in, so I think I'll try not to kill him. The others, however, are fair game.

One guy is playing an asian-american former soldier, so when the characters were preparing their cover story in a bar, I had some Nice Men walk up to him and twat him about because he's the only nonwhite guy in the bar. Fortunately, they fucked off before any guns had to be drawn, but....

I am brainstorming a campaign where the PC's are part of the "IRS Omega Division" and serve audits/arrest individuals for tax evasion that are supernatural or part of shadowy organizations.

Branch Davidians that are actually sacrificing people for Satan. Members of the Illuminati High Circle. Things like that.

Because nobody fucks with the IRS.

I'm working on cooking up a cult to pursue my players. I want kind of an ever present threat, the idea that any npc could stab them in the back at some point. Get some good Cold War spy-style paranoia going on.

Basically any agent with spells/psychic abilities should be faced with frequent SAN checks and complications for doing things that humans really shouldn't be able to do. These are the kinds of things that should be seen as more of a curse than a blessing. Make it so the visions he gets are useful, but he can't stop reading minds unless he gets blackout drunk or something. If he's trying to find a cult member in a crowd he should have to sort though a maddening amount of white noise from everybody else.

When the players have access to Things Man Was Not Meant To Know they should always be questioning whether or not using those resources are worth it.
