Excuse me Warpsmith. Why is it that we only have access to the Phobos, Proteus and Achilles Land Raider variants? The Crusader and Redeemer patterns have comparatively simple modification that shouldn't be difficult for a mechanic of your caliber to replicate and the Dark Mechanicum should have gotten ahold of at least one of the Prometheus or Helios variants through capture, theft or one of the corpse worshiper chapters turning traitor.

Would a Lich not make for one of the most powerful and dangerous lawyers?
Assume the following:
-Lich is not necessarily evil
-Lich has an interest in civic duties as a lawyer, bringing justice or injustice through the system
He never tires, never sleeps, never eats. He can endlessly pour over the law books of any or all lands. Lich Lawyer could in theory be so familiar with the laws of the lands that he could win any case reasonably winnable even in the obscurest way. He could of studied the country's laws for centuries, witnessed uncountable cases, and probably have a legion of skeleton clerks aiding him.
A Lich Lawyer would be unbeatable in court.
Opinions /tg/?
>>50395094
>his opponent is a cleric who is confident the Lich's ways are ones of evil. Any client who is represented by an undead being HAS to by DEFAULT be evil right?
>cleric is constantly going out of his way to prove the Lich is breaking court rules with evidence contrary to the Lich's efforts
>>50395094
So he's basically Mr Bent.

What does /tg/ think of this game?
As with most point-buy character creation systems, it's more a pain in the ass than it's worth.
>>50369641
It's fantastic. It's fun, versatile, and, once you wrap you head around it, which isn't too hard, extremely easy to use if you (or at least someone you play with) can perform basic math. It's one of my favorite systems at the moment.
>>50369641
After about 100h of gameplay, I think it has good and bad, but the bad is pretty big and I haven't the slightest idea how to fix it.
Namely: Character creation is great, but combat takes for goddamn ever because of the damage system, and all the attack powers are so samey that 2 hours of combat is boring AF.

Storythread: it's been an interesting last two weeks edition. Hopefully you've all recovered from the shock (or elation) and are ready to get back to serious business now, i.e. writing stories.
If you have /tg/ related works of fiction to post, post them here, and hopefully some kind anon will give you feedback (or at least acknowledge that someone did actually read it, which let's face it is what writefags really want).
If you don't have a story ready then I and other anons will be posting pictures throughout the thread for you to test your writing skills on. This is, more or less, a world-building and character-building exercise: two vital skills for playing roleplaying games. If you don't have any pics to post, you could try posting an idea for a setting or a character, and maybe someone will be willing to write a story using it. It's also an exercise in writing though, where writefags can try out their material and gain inspiration, so if you just want to talk about world-building save it for the world-building threads.
Remember that writefags love to have feedback on their work. Writing takes a long time, especially stories that go over several posts, and it can be really depressing when no one even seems to read it (and the writer won't know you read it unless you leave a comment).
And since writing takes a long time remember to keep the thread bumped. Pics are good, feedback is better.
Last week's thread can still be found in the archive here

Assume some shitheap of a world has some resource that your civilization vitally needs.
The world is inhabited by violent, primitive, tribal, but technically sentient dumbfucks who would probably object strenuously to your being there.

You could also take some guys, paint injuries on them and send these photos to the internet and news media news, that shit will work wonders. And also

Executioner is a comfy job to have in the dark/middle ages.
Sure you're pretty much an outcast but you still get to have a family and only have to work occaisionally while still getting paid.

Everyone loves airships in their games, for reasons that don't really need to be stated
But how would airships(flying based on magic, handwavium, or hot air) impact society and the economy of a late medieval world?
>>50392179
First you're going to have to tell us how much your airship costs.
It would depend on how commonplace they were -- the infrastructure and wealth needed to keep up a fleet would no doubt be impressive. Assuming it was possible in a given fantasy world, it would give the nation/guild/adventurer's group a considerable advantage in military power and transportation.
Examples from history would be the Dutch East India Company and the innovations in hull design, sail design, food preservation, navigation (like the whole story about longitudinal navigation) and finally getting a slew of underwriters to insure the voyages, resulted in an incredibly lucrative ocean-trade. India became part of the British Empire. Spain became silly rich (all those gold-leaf covered halls) and the New World came under the power of the Old World. The Caribbean and its sugar became such a fountain of wealth and influence that the British Parliament was directly under its control.
Anyway, if I were running Pathfinder or D&D5e I'd bring in airships as an introductory technology, with tremendous risks involved -- like 16th century exploration, for example. Lots of room for expansion....very exciting...lots of potential wealth...but you stand a good chance of not coming back. Good luck.
I'd like to imagine a world like Pathfinder: a few very rich kingdoms or city states (like Korvosa) might invest in this emerging innovation -- a few flying vessels might be just what is needed to avoid pirate fleets in certain trade regions, but will come under unique dangers requiring specialized individuals to see them through.
>Oh no! One of our most important shipments has been lost in a very dangerous region! Who can we get to rescue this shipment/diplomat/princess and get the ship flying again to its destination before the shipment of diplomat/princesses falls into the wrong hands...?!!
or
>The wreckage of a flying ship has been discovered high in the mountains. Find out what cargo was on board and any logbooks you can find. This unlikely shipwreck could point the way to some old forgotten mysteries related to ancestors of our current rulers. We don't want this to fall into the wrong hands.

How many spells do shugenja start with?

I got a question. How does the Agasha shugenja technique interact with basically anything?
Can I use it to importune spells that I couldn't normally cast by switching them to my main element? Like importuning for Rejuvenating Vapors at rank one.
Can I learn spells that I can only cast by switching them to fire so I can use my affinity?

Why did FFG lose the 40k RPG License?
Because they were bought by Asmodee that caused some sort of licensing conflict.

Okay, then. So, for a Social-focused Solar, with Presence 5, Performance 5, Socialize 3, Charisma/Manipulation 3, and Appearance 5 (7 with charms active), what are the best Martial Arts?
I think that Silver-Voiced Nightingale is a pretty obvious one (one charm gets a free Reflexive Performance actions + free Artifact weapon), but what about Black Claw Style and Dreaming Pearl Courtesan Style? I've only got the points for two styles at 5 at chargen, and the second one doesn't get any Charms, so which one's better to pick for the second one?
>>50324575
You don't really need more than a single style. As the social part of the party, you're not going to be expected to carry the combat, it's important to just not slow it down. Focus on your defenses- since you have Performance 5, War Dancer Method is a good pick up. Take maybe 2 more Dodge Charms and you're golden. all of the styles you mentioned have solid defense Charms, with Black Claw having probably the strongest, because they actually key-off of your social abilities. But other than that, it's pretty much a matter of stylistic preferences, all of those styles are rather unique.
>>50324672
>Focus on your defenses- since you have Performance 5, War Dancer Method is a good pick up. Take maybe 2 more Dodge Charms and you're golden.
That's what Silver-Voiced Nightingale's for- reflexive Performance actions, so that you can actually use Battle-Dancer Method without having to take flurry penalties to attack people.

>>50408838
Well, it reduces the load on the horses so you can travel further, faster. The old Wells Fargo delivery carriages used four or even six.
