My DM is being a fuckhead and his best friend (one of the worst players our group has had, only gets to play because DM feels incredibly guilty for leaving him out) is only making it worse by recommending and agreeing with the increasingly stupid things our DM has been saying and doing recently related to the game. I and another player have tried to talk it out with them but they just take it as personal attacks and insult us behind our backs. If leaving the group were an option I would, but a lot of my very close friends are in that group and specifically leaving now would cause a big rift for multiple reasons. So, instead, I've decided that I'm just going to be "That Guy" for our new campaign, at least subtly. I'lol either get a kick out of it or get kicked out of it, whichever comes first, but both are better options than my current ones. Perhaps "That Guy" isn't exactly the proper term for just wanting to fuck with my DM's game, but eh, fuck it, anybody have some tips on how to be "That Guy"? Also stories thread.

I figured I may as well make a thread for the system I'm most invested in playing in at the moment. Feel free to post interesting aspects, stunts, extras, subsystems and other such content here. Theme of the week is the Ancient Orient, some time after the development of rifles but before the nobles found out drinking mercury didn't make you live forever. Currently playing a Ninja in such a game. A Ninja who also happens to be a puppet that's been animated by unknown means. Any advice for playing an unconventional and honorless weirdo in an oriental setting where honor is pretty important, but being non-human isn't the worst thing that could happen?

I'm a forever dm and I just want to play a game. does anyone want to gm on roll 20? I mostly play rouges so I prefer cloak and dagger shit. I've gotten sick of applying to games and spending the time to making an in depth character only to be fucking pushed aside. I don't normally like to complain so much but I'm drunk right now. Roll20 has the worst application system. Its unnecessarily tough to get into games now.

Is there a good place to just get hooked up with a random stranger and start rolling virtual dice with them? I get the urge to GM but I can't get a group together since moving away and don't have time for a steady in person game anyway. I used to use Omegle for this way back in the day, but it is of course absolute garbage now.

I don't really want any organization or planned meet up times, I want to have a short little adventure with a stranger via chat and then not worry about it ever again.

Im building agame and Im stuck on classes at the moment. I want 10 total but only 9 work well

1. Human (self explanatory)
2. Fantasy (elves, orcs, etc)
3. Mythos (minotaurs, centaur, etc)
4. Insect (large wasps, centipedes, etc)
5. Robot (robots and war tech)
6. Paradox (t-rexes, pharoahs, space marines, etc)
7. Cryptid (sasquatches, chupacabra, etc)
8. Indigenous (tribal warriors and warlocks)
9. Horror (zombies, demons, serial killers, etc)

I had a Flora-Fauna class but it's the red headed step child of the bunch. Turns out, having a lion or a giant man-eating plant is significantly less cool than having a T-Rex or a horde of Zombies. Everyone who got the Gorilla named their gorilla Harambe

Ive been tossing around the idea of like Super Humans so people can get their little superheroes that are similar to superman and spiderman in there. Ive also had suggestions for Native Beasts (animals from the plain like the Indigenous class) or Deities, Gods and Demi-Gods and the like.

What are some classes that may not be covered by the above 9 classes?

Any of you guys play Penny Dreadful in MTGO?

I follow a couple of groups on Facebook that relate to the game and someone posted about it the other day.

If you don't know, it is a format where every card is a penny on MTGO.

Scryfall and Magidex are databases that talk about it.

The site is pdmtgo dot com.

It looks like janky fun and the best decks are still cheap.

I figured that such a cheap format would be perfect for us NEET fucks.

Anyway, let's talk about the format and other budget formats such as Pauper.

I personally would love to organize a paper tournament for Penny Dreadful at my FLGS.

There is even a deck checker on the pdmtgo website so you can check legalities.
