Snaiad is a fictional alien planet, part of an exobiology project created by Turkish artist Nemo Ramjet (C.M. Kosemen). Currently it exists in an ever-updating website format, but the artist and author has expressed a great deal of interest in getting the idea published. Snaiad is meant more or less to be a natural history guide to an alien world, talking about the planet's geologic past, the natural history and evolution of its inhabitants, and to a lesser extent the much shorter human occupation of the planet.

it's certainly indepth enough.
go for it.
You can't convince me those aren't penises.

Thanks! Any suggestions on how to implement a campaign though, what system of rules should i use?

You may be referring to some of the larger herbivores, well that "penis" is actually a mouth, kinda like a proboscis, it's less phallic when you look it up close.

Actually, some of them look MORE like dicks up close.

Actually what looks like their main head is their genitals, while the penis looking thing is a mouth. There's even a predatory species called "fuckers" who have a spike between their back legs that they use as a weapon.

I think it's a cool idea. I've actually been thinking about using the Snaiad vertebrate bodyplan as a basis for a visitant group in Numenera.

Well, what kind of things would you have people do in the world? I think that's going to tell you what system to use. I know GURPS and Traveller both do hard sci fi pretty well, but I feel like I'd shy away from them in favor of something less mechanically daunting if possible.
