So what's the actual point of a Spartan deathstar? I'm looking to get into Heresy with a Mechanicum army using Myrmidons, aircraft and tonks, , plus light robots, and as far as I've seen everyone sticks a 400pt+ Primarch with a 300pt termie squad in a 350pt Spartan. How can that possibly kill it's points? Seems like it would get torched and then kited by anyone competent.
So far my plan for a counter to that is Scoria and some Vorax outflanking, and that's about half the cost and still really dangerous.

My players are driving me insane.

>Complains that nobody takes them seriously
>Kills/ alienates relevant NPCs
>Complains nobody will give them quests
>Spends all their money on whores
>Complains I'm not giving enough treasure

>Complains that I'm railroading
I don't know what to do, and I'm losing my passion for the game every session. I'd stop DMing for them, but they're my friends outside of the game and I have nobody else to play with. I've asked time and time again for them to control themselves, but it always ends with them criticizing my abilities as a DM (Though I'm the only one in the group who has run games).
What should I do?

Welcome to the thread for d20 station, a rules light, medium RP Space Station 13 server.
>What is Space Station 13?
It's a 2D top down atmospherics simulator with who dun it gameplay layered on top. Each crew member aboard the station has a specific job to perform, while a select few are selected to be traitors (assassin/spy/thief).

>How do I play?
You'll need to download the BYOND client.

A BYOND account is HIGHLY recommended
To connect: Open BYOND, click the gear in the upper right. Click "Open Location" and paste in the IP below (Visual guide: http://i.imgur.com/d9D82fK.jpg).

Use OOC (backspace say" in the bottom, type OOC and hit enter, or: http://i.imgur.com/RodAGGZ.png), which means Out Of Character chat, and ask someone for help on how to play. People will almost always help you get a grip of the game if you're polite about it, just don't reveal too much in-round information in OOC.
There's also wikis dedicated to documenting the spaceman way of life, but they vary widely from server to server.

The rules are very relaxed and admins try to take a hands-off approach to administrating. Admins will generally only intervene if someone is explicitly playing to ruin the game. Reminder to read the rules in-game.
>What map/code do you run?
We run a heavily modified Ministation map with mostly custom code. Most jobs on Ministation are merged with similar counterparts and head roles have been re-enabled.
>When does everyone play?
The server is mostly populated with Americlaps, so peak times are usually between 7pm-3am EST
>Who are these tripfags?
Usually admins/coders for the server.

For those who haven't seen the movie:

They are both assholes but keep in mind they are also caricatures. And I'm sure some of you have had this happen in your games. Who's side are you on?I side with Scott, personally, but only because Miles is trying to devolve the game into a laughfest. If he'd had a good reason to do what he did and actually roleplayed I'd be on his side. Scott is also a railroading twat and a manchild, so like I said, both are in the wrong in some ways.

I don't understand why this is a problem. I'm a foreverDM and I love when my players throw a spanner in because it allows me to show off.
It happens every time, the story builds to an emotionally charged climax. Then someone tries to throw me off, either by killing an npc, trying to seduce the BBEG or the classic, "I jump out the window and leave".
My players always do it at the least convenient moment, to try and catch me off guard but I'm always ready, with mini's and maps good to go as if I planned it that way all along.

Because there's this "any LD is bad" meme that gets perpetrated through casual playgroups. Not only is tempo land destruction one of the best plays in the game, there's no better feeling than blowing up an Urborg or Coffers while the puny black mage squeals in terror. The only bad land destruction, in my opinion, is just wrathing everyone's lands without a way to close out the game before they could restore their boardstate. I mean, plopping down a few walkers, then wrathing everyone's lands is a reasonable enough play to just fast forward to the end, depending on how committed your players are, but just blowing up the board because you're losing leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
