Welcome back, demons and monsters, to Demon Overlord Quest! I'm very proud and entertained by all the 'Next Episode' skits everyone created and, as a reward for your participation, I have a gift: Five (5) Potential Points. Like before, these points can be spent on just about anything. You can use them to enhance stats for Gneotho, automatically succeed rolls, improve relations with characters by 10, and, most importantly activate a SECOND, EMERGENCY OVERLOAD in a combat! The second overload would come with some consequences for the overcharge, but you can burn that bridge when we get to it.

Lady Gneotho's Stats: http://pastebin.com/whRSLSHc
Your Allies' Stats (In Order of Appearance): http://pastebin.com/QUs6LWEc

You are Lady Gneotho: Overlord in Training! You and your small army of tournament participants successfully overthrew the manipulative Seneschal Brynn and his consipirators. Brynn has reverted to a young child from the absorption of the power of the previous incarnations of all the contestants. His general has surrendered to your inner circle of demons. The Kingpin fell under your charms and abandoned the fight to reincarnate into your servant and his Head Maid is a laughing pile of limbs on the ground a few feet away. To top that off, you unlocked your Overload Skill and obtained a new, unique form that feels much more powerful than your original one. You feel confident enough to call this mission success!

Your band allies, Anasael, Kain, and Mystery Person 14 stand around you with the massive, armored form of Weth just now rising from her kneeling position.

"Congratulations, my lady!" Anasael places a hand on your armored shoulder. "What should we do now, though. The four of us made up the entirety of the quarterfinalists. I have no problems bowing out of the tournament, and I don't think MP would mind since he's on the payroll." Her words drift off and she eyes Kain, who you can feel stare daggers at your new form.

"Black Hearts. Cold Steel. Dark Deeds."

These are the words of the Black Company, the infamous band of mercenaries that has been on one side or the other of every major conflict on the continent since its founding.
The Company has seldom cared who they fight for or the cause so long as they are paid, and paid well, when the killing work is done. Though they may be considered by some to be little more than glorified brigands, it cannot be said that the Black Company is not good at what they do.

Recently the Company has taken up a contract with a new employer, one more powerful than any that have come before. An employer with endless ambition, as well as the means and lack of moral scruples needed to pursue it. An employer that pays well...

You are Lieutenant 'Prince'. A seasoned NCO of the Black Company that, through a cruel twist of fate, found yourself landed with an officer's commission. Now you find yourself in command of the 7th Kiregstrom Shocktroopers, a position with more responsibility and scrutiny than you ever wanted.

7th Kriegstrom Platoon
Comprised of the most well-armed and armoured troops, 7th Platoon offers the meanest, fiercest and, given the mortality rate, dumbest soldiers to be found in the Black Company. A more bizarre collection of fighting men and women has likely never been seen. Down-on-their-luck heroes with a magic swords and brooding pasts like Cairsun; escaped slaves with a penchant for magik like Nissar; disgruntled veterans of the Nuemunster Legions like Coporal ‘Jack’ Marcus; Scarred Wildborn ‘Smiles’ because fighting is really all a Wildborn knows; aging Skald huscarls like Hirstun of Ligh that should have retired long ago. You even have a mute rotten undead warrior, ‘Mask’, which is one even you haven’t heard before. Nevermind the fekking Dragon.

They’re your men. Mercenaries, that kill for money. Warriors, with the right degree of pride and stubbornness. Soldiers, that fight for the man next to them. You never wanted this position, deciding who dies where. Dark Father knows it’s only a matter of time before you get them all killed.

Recap
Following the fall of the Neumunster city of Sarsburg several weeks ago, your Employer has sent his unholy host spread throughout the entirety of the western and northern reaches of the Neumunster Nation. While the main part of the Company and the undead went west to Oxenfurt Bridge, you were tasked with the seizure of the northern town of Kresden.

Having taken Kresden mostly intact, at the cost of a few comrades to the ravenous Grenn, the rest of the province should follow in short order. For now though, you're busy stopping your own men doing more damage to the town in occupying it than they ever did in taking it.

As the stealth material covered sea barge moves though the south end of the red sea the ship sways slowly back and forth. Moving slowly enough not to kick up waves, but fast enough to actually not be a raft.

Deep in the cavern that is under the stealth cover the on command crew member goes though the sit rep for the pilots one last time.

"Alright listen up. I got one more chance to repeat this before the top comes off so you land babies better stop being sea sick and listen up. Last month an advanced cruiser sized ship was spotted in the red sea area bearing Reddit markings.
Then two weeks ago the damn thing was taken over by PC mercs working for an aspiring African warlord. He then took over, fixed any damage, and then used it to pillage shipping lanes for both TA and human. When the first human deaths came up Command wanted it gone.
No questions on how. Only that it stops raiding. They might have put so much effort into this to send a message to other would-be-pirates, but I don't care. I want this guy to die. He's a piece of shit and has a list of war crimes a mile long.
Get out there, destroy the ship or stop it, and come back to be taken home. Any questions?"

You’ve awoken. When you try to open your eyes you’re blinded by a strange sensation that you’ve never encountered before. The word “light” comes to mind, and it takes you a while to focus on the source. Below you, a world, reflecting this light from a ball of burning gas a few inches away, hovers. In an instant the voices of billions of souls flood your mind and overpowers your senses. This is too much to deal with after you just woke up. You brush your hand over this world and it disappear- wait. It’s still there? It should be gone! Even the gas ball refuses to die out. You focus once more and realize that these things exist in a different dimension separated from your plane of existence. This is most unsettling, how much did things change while you slept?

Slowly you learn to listen to a few voices at a time, easing your suffering. You hear their inner thoughts, heart’s desires, dreams and fears. Yet you also hear something strange. “Prayer” is what they call it. When they pray their voices carry small ringing tone to it and it feels… strange. There seem to be a few entities to which these creatures pray and their words carry power to these beings. Most interesting. What would happen if you intercepted some of these “Prayers”? Hoping to find answers, you decide to give it a try.

You listen for a while, trying to find a prayer powerful enough that you can manipulate. After a bit of searching, a few reach you that seem to be noteworthy however you can choose only one to focus on. You’re power is not what it was and until you recover you will have to make the best out of your choice.

A) A man who’s heart is as dark as the space you float in. He has no compassion, no empathy, all he cares for is power and wealth. His spirit is not the strongest, but he seems to already hold a position of power and is somewhat influential. Perhaps his voice can be yours.

B) Somewhere a woman cries. It seems to be a simple story. A romance gone wrong, the lover abandoned her and now she is hurting. What makes her interesting is that she carries a child. The woman’s spirit is weak, but the child is powerful. If given time, he could be promising.

C) Strange. One of them is a young child, but her voice is not innocent like the others. It is pure rage, hate and sadness. Abuse and injustice have twisted her. Her youthful spirit burns bright regardless but her emotions are wild and unpredictable. Who knows what she will accomplish.

The time has come to decide. Which one will you choose to guide?

Not really sure, but atleast this one we can shape as we wish for...if we managed to keep the child alive.

Huh? That was weird. The last thing you remember, you were attached to poor Jake. Great fun, banging that princess. Less fun, what came afterwards, when they caught you in her bedchambers, but hey, them's the breaks.

Then there was the shouting, the beating, the summoning of the court wizard, and finally, the emasculation. A great sensation of heat and pain and now...... this. You're definitely well, and you're definitely not attached to the rest of the body. You can't see, but you have a dim sort of awareness that you're on a stone floor..... somewhere. It's cold, but not painfully chill. You think you can move around, snakelike, by crawling and contracting, but you're not really sure where you are or what to do.

You are in command over the Imperial Japanese Battleship Hyuga, starting at the very beginning of December 1941. Due to the will of players and that of the dice, history may go quite differently from what we know. For all intents and purposes, this is a wargame. It is incredibly important that you check the Pastebin link to familiarize yourself with the relatively simple dice mechanics, and to check it somewhat often as I may modify or add new mechanics as time goes on.

You will be playing, as the quest title shows, a agent working for the Sith Empire.

Our timeline will be taking place in the rise of the New Sith Empire, before the start of the game The Old Republic.

The voting period for a decision will be approximately 10 minutes, any votes cast after the vote is called by the QM will not be counted toward the final vote. In the event of a particularly heated or important vote the QM reserves the right to call a Final Destination vote.

Non-combat events such as perception, convincing people to share well guarded information, ect. will be resolved by a 1d100 roll, the highest of the three first rolls, will be the roll that determines success.

Combat rolls will be determined by a 3d10 and will be determined by the best of the first three rolls.

As you assert you next move you keep your eyes focused on the bulding in front of you. All around probe drones sweep the area around it, watching for any strange or unidentified person.

With the drones you watch a group of three or two imperial soldiers walking along in surveilance. One thing you noticed is there is a certain slack with the discipline. You know this you quickly caught some soldiers in leisure, while they should be keeping the watch.

Your body trembles when you remember your childhood and your dad's whip that hitted you each time you did something out of what you were intended to do. But you don't blame your father, most of the whips were well deserved.

With a quick search you conclude that sneaking inside the building would be the best. You are here to kill a captain. And any of those soldiers could be against you, it wasn't rare for soldier being more loyal to their superiors then to the empire.

As you keep a close watch you observe the partner on the patrols, both mechanic and human and take your time getting inside it.

Passing the patrols looked to be easy that is until you feel something slam against you. As you emerged from the coner a woman in a recruit uniform bumps against you. Surprising both of you. You need to think and fast.

>Try to use this oportunity to subdue her by physical force, grabbing her wrist and covering her mouth to avoid her screaming.(Will also require a roll)
>Engange in glorious CQC and knock her out (will require a roll)
> Use your wrist weapon to shoot a poison dart towards her. The wrist will be faster since it's activated by your hand movement and the strong poison will kill her even before she can scream.

Hi! This is the first quest I'm running, though I did do chat RPG in my younger days, and I also did play by mail for a large part of my Teens, it is however, the first Quest I'm running. Up above you'll have a couple of links, though these are entirely optional. The maptoolz campaign will let you click around and get more info at will - though it is german, I warn you! :D ; while the Deviantart Link is for the Entire Regional Map of where this Quest is going to play ( and which you hopefully will be able to conquer! ),

Pic relatedis where we start.

.
My Goal: Most Quests suck imho, due to little Progress (for one), but infrequent posting by the QM (most importantly!). If I need you to roll something, it will either be a bunch of d6, or it will be 3d20. I'll tell you if it does get relevant, so no worries! :)

Intro Narrative will follow in the second post....

I will apologize beforehand if my writing and language skills are subpar - english is not my mothers tongue!

It has been more than a year since the heavens burnt. The Emperor of Demons had sent his flying fortress to the heartlands of Garetya.
Thargrin has a vivid recollection of her Father - an officer with the Imperial Army - donning his armour, getting his sword and calling for his Riders.
He left on a bright sunny day in 1027BF, never to return.

For the 14 year old girl the short war that followed - dubbed the Year of Fire subsequently - was mostly faraway tales.
She was dimly aware, back then, of the Iron Heart of the Empire, the great City of Wehrheim, being burnt with Demonic Fires.
She was told that her father had disappeared, and her Mother never did acknowledge his death, and sometimes when her mother was not cautious enough, the servants or travelling folks would tell the young Lady of the Battle on the Mythrael:
How the Armies of Man marched in Formation, how they marched to their Death, how the Earth swallowed them up, how the Rivers boiled away and left but rocky beds, how the Sun was darkened out and an entire city swallowed by undead hordes.
More than a year now she'd had nightmares of these days, and the battle on the Mythraelfield became a dark spectre over her dreams.

Thargrin was grimly and frustratingly ineffective in persuading her mother to action.
The Empire had dis-integrated around them, Knights and Nobles had fled the land. One heard talk of Evil Mercenarys just 20 Miles away to the east in Immlingen,
the Empress having vanished on the Mythrael - Thargrin imagined the Battle as a dark Monster crushing both her Father and the Empress - and chaos ruled the land.

For naught. Corrupt Nobles ran the Land, people of questionable Morality assumed power in large parts of the Empire. To the North a group of revolting Nobles prevented the Dukes of Weiden from establishing Order. To the West at Griffons Crossing the Ork had come over the Mountains and the Margrave had shut himself in his tower.
To the south: Large Forests, a faraway capitol burnt in the War, and closer: Wehrheim and the Mythraelsfield.

.

On this first day of the year, the 1st of PRAios 1028, the Nameless Days have passed. The Summers heat has reached its Climax,
and Thargrins Mother has passed away from a heatstroke mere hours ago.

15 years old, inheritor to a small cottage and village - and in Name inheritor to the peasants of the immediate surrounds and Forest to the East, Thargrin of Arpitz sits in her study, stone faced.
She couldn't bear to visit her mother in the crypt, where she knew the old lady would be lying on a stone altar, conserved by the cold, waiting for a priest of any one of the 12 gods to come by.
>>
>>897053
Outside the study, in the small room which housed a half dozen books and therefore bore the hightrodden name of Library, three people were waiting for the young Lady.
Rodrick, her Master at Arms and Commander of the Houseguard: An old and grizzly man who had been on the Mythrael and never talked off the battle itself with words - unable to articulate anything, the horror of that battle made his lips tremble, his hands shiver and his eyes go wide. Thargrin had never seen him afraid. Not even when she was just 6 summers old and a giant Boar had attacked her. Rodrick was a brave man. But broken from the Mythrael.
Leon is the eldest Son of her Fathers late Gamemaster. Leons father had died on the Mythrael as well, and he was a couple of years Thargrins elder, but a quiet and subservient Boy who dreamt of Knighthood and loved to hear tales of chivalry.
Lastly, Peraineve. Thargrins cousin and a moderate beauty of age to be married of. Her parents both had died on the Mythrael.
Everybody had died on the Mythrael.

Eventually, Thargrin figured, she'd have to go out there. She'd have to confront those three and lay out her Plan: For she knew ambition.
To the north, some ten miles of road apart from her own Homestead, lay a couple of small towns. A couple of hundred inhabitants, knightly Households claiming Dominion.
To the south... a band of former Knights, disposessed and displaced, a ragtag band of mercenaries and soldiers. Deserters who came to call themselves the Lions of Lodenbach.

She would have to get some intelligence on the surrounding Area.

Dear mother had always kept Thargrin away from all decision making.

No longer.

First she'd have to figure out how to organize her Guard.
With Luck, she'd be able to muster a total of a whole Banner comprising of 50 men.
She could plunder the old arms and armour decorating walls and corridors, maybe even the crypts...
She could get some Hunters to catch wild Horses, maybe?

In Thargrin of Arpitz' Head a plan formed...

What's going to be your focus, /qst/? If you were a young Lady, not knighted or properly educated yet, pressed to form a Milita and go from there,
which of the Following broader categories of Troops would be your Focus?
> Footmen
Young men and women are made to fight and die. For your Glory and Honour, but foremost for the protection of their home.
Maybe you should try to conscript the boys and girls from the surrounding Farmsteads, those whom you grew up with?
Many would gladly follow you, out of loyalty. Others might feel obligated to fight for a restoration of order...
the Proud ones might feel shame over the loss of loved ones, fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters on the Mythrael.

> Riders
the close Woods have a breed of sturdy horses, and you might commandeer some of the Farmers to give up their Steeds?

> Archers
The same young men and boys could always start making bows. There is a couple of Hunters under your command, and Leon is a capable leader,
one who looks out for his men and women.

> Siege Engines perhaps?
The Woodworkers from the Forest could build rams or catapults, you figure - although, being a rather young girl, you don't really know if they'll have any strategic worth at all.

> or would you perhaps go the more pious route: Priests, Holy Men and Believers?
There must be some, you'd need to invest some time and gold to search for them, but you do figure that you should be able to recruit a Priest or two from the Surrounds.

> maybe... maybe you could recruit a Magician..?
A young Druid called Temudschin lives in the Woods southeast. You heard your mother sometimes talk of him.
In the cities they have seeresses and maybe even a proper witch. Those you could surely use,
or maybe even a proper Magician, one from the Academies in the far South of the Empire?

.

Also, you need to find your bearings. Leon and Rodrick could ride out today to bring you news of the Towns up north or the mercenary crew down south.
Or maybe you send them on recruitment of specialists?

####

Make your choice, /qst/,
> where to send the old man Rodrick and the young hunter Leon?
> what Focus should your Militia have?

also, please be so kind as to roll 6d6

Far off, nestled in an otherwise small Japanese town lies the Dark Gate Academy. An institution of tremendous size, the Academy holds a long kept secret. Unknown to the outside world, this unseemly town is home to a tear in our reality. A gate between our world and a bizarre dimension known as the Darkworld. The inhabitants of this hellish world breach this gate and attempt to flood into our reality and spread throughout the world on a regular basis. However, the Dark Gate Academy is home to students of truly extraordinary abilities. The ability to sense the presence of these evil Darkworld creatures, and defeat them in combat, sending them back through the gate.

They cannot close the rift between our world and the Darkworld, but the students and staff of Dark Gate Academy have dedicated their lives to using their amazing powers to hold back the darkness that plagues our world, even if it costs them their lives. They have risen up to the challenge and in secret have become great heroic defenders of the world as we know it.

For many years, Dark Gate Academy has held back the forces of the Darkworld, kept this unspeakable evil contained within their walls. But a dark cloud approaches, and times are about to change. A new chapter in the tale of Dark Gate Academy is about to begin.

“Ryoji, are you even listening to me?”

“Nope,” you smirk, looking up as Saki from your bent over position. “I've got a lot more important stuff on my mind right now.”

“Writing profanities on my cast isn't important!” a flustered Saki pouts.

You smirk, placing the cap on the black marker and taking a step back, happily admiring your handiwork. After you had some time alone with it, Saki's arm cast has found itself without any free space, covered top to bottom with a wide-array of messages from you. “Sak, you and I have very different definitions of the word 'important'.”

“Ryoji, listen!” Saki exclaims. “Don't you have any idea what week this is?!”

“Uh... the week we beat up an Archdemon and have a lot of free time to mess around?”

“It's Birthday Week!” Saki exclaims.

“Birthday... what?” you ask. “What's that supposed to mean?”

“This is the week in the year where many of our classes birthdays fall. This week, we have Chihiro, Seishiro, Hikaru, Satomi, Ken... even Nurse Tekina!”

“And you're panicking over this because...?”

Saki is frantic enough to start waving her arms, but is quick to stop due to the cast. “Ryoji, as head of class it's my job to ensure that everyone has a great birthday! We need to keep morale up, and I can't do it alone while I'm in this cast!”

“Don't worry, you're only in that thing until tomorrow anyway,” you reply. “And I left you with plenty of comforting message in your cast until then.”

“Comforting?” Saki protests. “T-these are c-crude and vulgar! All of them... well, except for this one. Both our names contained within a love heart!”

“I don't remember writing that one,” you raise an eyebrow.

“That's because I wrote it!” you hear Chihiro's voice from behind. You lean back on your desk as Chihiro approaches, playfully running a finger down your chest. “Well? Don't you have anything to say to me?”

“Happy birthday, Chihiro,” you reply.

With a smirk, Chihiro throws her arms around you, kissing you on the cheek, as Saki turns red with embarrassment. “Oh, don't worry Saki!” Chihiro giggles with a wink. “I'm kissing you next! But for now...”

Chihiro pulls away and reaches into her bag, pulling out a small green cellphone. “Since you remembered... here's your birthday gift!”

“Usually you're the one who gets gifts on your birthday...” you mutter.

“Usually,” Chihiro laughs. “But because of my father's wealth, most of my friends find it difficult to purchase gifts for me. So instead... I but them gifts! This year, I've elected to give everyone in class their very own cellphone!”

As you take the green phone off Chihiro's hands, you note as she hands a blue one over to Saki as well. “I already have everyone's contact details saved onto them, and your contact details are saved onto all of theirs!”

“Wow... that's some forward planning,” you mutter. “That's like... Saki-level forward planning.”

“She was my main influence, yes!” Chihiro giggles, hugging into Saki. “Get well soon, Saki! And I expect to see you both at my birthday party in the dorms tonight!”

Chihiro skips off to deliver phones to other classmates like some kind of flirty Santa Claus, before quickly skipping back and grabbing Saki by her un-injured arm.

“What the-”

“Oh, I almost forgot!” Chihiro smiles. “Come with me, my dear Saki! You absolutely must fill me in on every last detail of your meeting with the Shidas!”

A red in the face Saki begins to stammer out some poor attempt at an excuse before being pulled along by Chihiro. “Come now Saki, and spare no detail. I want to know everything!”

“Ryojiiiiiiii!” Saki calls out, reaching to you in desperation as Chihiro drags her away. You let out an exasperated sigh, knowing that everyone in school will be filled in on your night with Saki by lunchtime, as you open up your new cellphone, to see you've already been sent three new messages. Dammit... you liked it better when you found people with problems on your own... now there's nothing to stop your friends from bothering you at all hours during the day. Well, nothing you can do about it now. You lean back further at your desk before checking the messages within.

>From: Ken
>Hey man! Enjoying the new phone? Pretty sweet gift, right? I was going to have a celebratory spot of fishing, at the usual place. Wanna join?

>From: Rei
>Training. Now. No excuses, you slacker.

>From: Hiro
>Hi there, Ryoji! I've been put in charge of giving a presentation to the freshman class, and I could use your help! It's okay if you're busy! If not, I'll be just outside the Class 1 homeroom, and you can meet me there!

Well, at least the sky isn't falling. You can just hang out with your friends at your leisure, and with Saki currently being interrogated, it's not like you've got anything better to do.

Wheres a good place to ask DnD questions? Ive played a couple games of 3.5 and one or two of 5, but I odnt know as much as I'd like. Im interested in the cool small things that may be lesser known. Magic items that have unique or interesting or oddly useful applications. Or undervalued spells that can be really useful. Maybe facts that would surprise. I wasnt sure which board to ask, so here I am.

You are Allen Starwind, a starship captain and veteran of the Great Interstellar War. Your starship is old, yet (mostly) reliable, and you must take on jobs in order to bring in enough cash to keep it flying. Last time, you learned more about your new crew member, left Ganymede, and found a ghost ship. Good luck, and fair skies.

The wreck of the heavy cruiser Wales looms outside the bridge windows, a silent reminder of the War’s destructiveness. The vessel itself is mostly intact, with several large holes near the engineering areas likely caused by Imperial missiles. What is left of the paint on the ship’s hull has faded and begun to flake off from constant exposure to the sun’s rays.

“Jesus…” Tom sighs, craning his neck to get a better view of the stricken vessel.

“This is horrible,” Corrigan mutters, surveying the damage. “It looks as though they were attacked from behind without any warning.”

Tom sits back, raising an eyebrow at Corrigan. “You’ve never heard of the Wales? It was an experimental heavy cruiser deployed right before the War ended.” He points to the engines. “It had some new kind of stealth system to conceal its emissions. Anyway, they sent it into Imperial territory on a recon op, and they never heard back from it. The War ended about twelve days later, and the ship fell into a weird legal status…” He trails off, talking with his hands. “The Empire didn’t have the legal rights to salvage it on account of it being Federal property, but the Federation can’t get to it on account of anti-salvage laws that the Empire put in place to preserve Imperial war wrecks.”

“So it just drifted since the end of the War?” Corrigan leans curiously toward Tom.

“Sort of,” he explains. I’m not super familiar with the details,” he looks back at you, expecting you to fill in the gaps. It just so happens that you’re familiar with the ship’s story.

“The Wales was declared missing at first,” you say. “They didn’t actually know what happened to it, but everyone figured it had been destroyed…” You frown. “It wasn’t until about a year after the end of the War that the wreck was actually discovered. Still, it got grandfathered in under those laws, which means that neither government can touch it.” You look out at the wreck, scanning for any signs of salvaging going on. “And it appears that nobody has touched it since then.”

Tom glances down at his sensors. “Sir, I just finished running a scan of the ship’s interior,” he says. “It looks like most of the internal compartments still have air.” He looks back at you. “It’s your call… But there’s probably some valuable, high-tech stuff in there that nobody’s going to miss…” He points to an undamaged airlock hatch on the underside of the wreck. “I can sling us up to the Wales and we can send a party aboard.”

>”Alright, let’s get ready.”
>"There shouldn't be any rooms left pressurized..."
>”What kind of high-tech stuff are we talking?”
>”No. This is a war wreck. Besides, if the authorities catch us, we’ll be in big trouble.”

But be careful cause
>"There shouldn't be any rooms left pressurized..."
Honestly it seems a decent idea to maybe give it a quick once over, confirm things, and maybe snatch a valuable system or two; but in general this wreck is a hassel as so many things can go pear shaped on us. It would probably be the most valuable to us to sell the wreck location to some third party to scavenge, after making sure its not a trap so said third party doesn't take things personal. Definitely shouldn't try and do the whole thing ourselves, or besides a system or three take too much that says we raided the political land mine. All of this assumes its uninhabited of course.

Oh and hurray its this awesome quest!

You are a PIRATE!

Not really actually - somehow by mistake, you ended up as a stowaway on the wrong ship when you were just a tot, and must have since not went the way whoever put you there must have planned.

Despite the threats and jeers of the crew at you. the little child stowed away on a ship full of criminal sailors, the Captain for some reason kept you as his own and ensured you'd become a productive member of the crew at some time in your life -

You're now thirteen years of age the old fart has finally deemed ready to earn some plunder and notoriety of your own.

You wonder though; What potential could he possibly have seen in you that made him decide to keep you around for so long?
