So I have this Alpha 7MKII and it takes really crappy pictures. These lines make no sense at all... should I just return or is there an explanation for what is going on with the perspective in this picture?

The angle changes, although they should be parallel lined.

What is /p/'s though on the GoPro Hero4 Black Edition?
I have the silver edition. It's decent for things like strapping to my longboard or underwater/ selfie stick shots but if your not doing anything like that it has a crazy fish eye and battery life is miserable. If not doing that stuff buy a dslr
>>2926602
Better than a swift kick to the head.
Hello /p/, do you always apply the rule of thirds when taking pictures of scenery or objects?
Are there other rules like this?
I want to learn how to take beautiful pictures
Sounds like Google would help you lots
>>2926582
There are tons, use the rule of thirds and learn to break that rule.

got a mirrorless or entrylevel camera with popup flash? take a spent giftcard or some shit cardboard probably does the trick too, wrap it in aluminium foil, fixate it with some glue, and fasten the card to the flash with a rubber band. put your cam in portrait orientation, stand your subject next to a bright coloured wall, and voilla, nice and soft light for portraits. can become too dramatic at times, but whatever, it looks pretty pro for uninitiated pedestrians.

Get rid of the window, or shoot with a grid pattern as a background.
Also less direct and harsh flash, and more soft and even.

What's a good camera for a beginner who wants to do mostly landscape/camping photography?
I currently have a Canon Rebel T1i (since 2008/2009ish?) and it's been a great camera, but currently I'm getting better quality photos on my iPhone, which either means I'm using the DSLR wrong, I have the wrong lens, or it's outdated. I'm sort of thinking it's the first one, but you never know.
People on other forums have recommended getting a Sony A6000, which fits my price range. I'd rather not spend more than $1k, as that's about how much my Canon was when I first got it.
>>2926441
As big sensor as you can get.
At 1k I would say
D600 or some 645MF film (NOT 66 / 67 BRICKS cuz camping)
Fiji xpro2
Gearfags will try to shill you larger sensors but this camera would fit most better.
>>2926447
d700 or 5D (original)

>>2926207
You are actually not jk. It really isn't good. I don't know what Hasselblad is thinking when they made their name with medium format cameras for professionals to give their name to a cheap phone add-on with a 1/2.3" sensor. But I guess after those rebranded Sony cameras it shouldn't be a surprise.
>>2926214
because they know mobile's where the money's at
just look at that new mirrorless GUI, total mobile phone generation stuff. and I think they're right to do it
Sup /p/, thinking about getting a Canon Rebel T5i later this fall and putting a rest to the Nikon D3100. I needed a camera with a mic port so I can record videos with wonderful sound. After thinking a bit more, it got me wondering. What is your experience and/or thoughts of the T5i?
>>2926188
>Swapping one cheap, old entry level body for another cheap, old entry level body

A D5xxx would at least let you keep using the lenses / accessories you have
>>2926188
A used D7000/D7100 will do much better. I upgraded to a D7100 after using a D3100 and can tell you it's worth every penny. Which isn't even that much after you sell your d3100
people always say you can't get good shots at a car show.
