So Iheard from some semi-reliable source (a Fuji distributor) that Fuji is about to discontinue Acros 100 in 35mm format. He said that they officially "know nothing", but they're expecting it any moment now.
Better stock up while you still can.

Fuji sounds so close to just moving to instax only
Fuji sounds so close to finally getting its jaw past their own sphincter.
>>2932943
Still not getting why anyone uses Instax. The quality is horrid, and the price is high.

Ok. Here is the story. I have budget of about 200£. Thinking of buying starter telescope for photography.
Is any of telescopes below worth considering. Or would you recommend different one and why.
Once again keep it below 200£

There have been several Sony (and even Fuji) cameras released with Hasselblad logos and inflated prices. This is not one of those - you can't get the same device cheaper with a different company's brand name on it.

Commercial coating applications are quite complex and are performed using specialized machinery.
If a low cost, low quality coating exists, it would be in dunk or spray form. You'd have issues with getting an even coating.
>>2931704
Even if you found the equipment and chemicals to do it, you can't just coat the front and rear elements. It's like how manufacturers implement low dispersion lens elements only at certain areas to optimize cost to performance ratios.

WARNING: Do not try this at home.
hi /p/haggots i was hoping you could show me some examples of bad framing vs good framing using your own photos?
like could you possibly grab your camera and take a photo of the first thing you see, inside or outside, doesn't matter? and show me how you would frame that object/thing/person/pet PROPERLY and then also show me how NOT to frame?
im actually trying to take photography more seriously and i think framing is the most important thing to try to learn for now
Today's photographer need not necessarily make his picture resemble a wash drawing in order to have it admitted as art, but he must abide by the "rules of composition." That is the contemporary nostrum. Now to consult rules of composition before making a picture is a little like consulting the law of gravitation before going for a walk. Such rules and laws are deduced from the accomplished fact; they are the products of reflection and after-examination, and are in no way a part of the creative impetus. When subject matter is forced to fit into preconceived patterns, there can be no freshness of vision. Following rules of composition can only lead to tedious repetition of pictorial cliches.
Good composition is only the strongest way of seeing the subject. It cannot be taught, because, like all creative effort, it is a matter of personal growth. In common with other artists the photographer wants his finished print to convey to others his own response to his subject. In the fulfillment of this aim, his greatest asset is the directness of the process he employs. But this advantage can only be retained if he simplifies his equipment and technique to the minimum necessary, and keeps his approach free from all formula, art-dogma, rules, and taboos. Only then can he be free to put his photographic sight to use in discovering and revealing the nature of the world he lives in.
>>2931558
The rule of thirds is shit and images that obey it are boring

So yesterday I was out shooting and I came across a great location and starting waiting for a subject to walk by. It is right by my city's police station. As I get my camera ready for someone walking by, this person looks at me and he has a huge burn mark on his face. He warns me not to take the shot, and that I can't take his photo. I pussied out and hesitated, and the shot was gone.
I'm pretty certain this man was a cop because of how he was dressed and because he walked into the police station's employee entrance. My question is, what is the legality of taking photos of off duty cops? They are public servants aren't they? If someone tells you blatantly to not take their photo, and you still did, what would be the legal repercussions of using said photo.

Cop or not, he's got no reasonable expectation of privacy so if you're in a civilised country you're fine taking the shot. That said, it's a dick move taking photos of people who have specifically asked you not to.
>>2931345
when u know ur rights and can take this shot you will be stronger
>>2931350
I don't usually take photos of people who have specifically expressed that they don't want it taken. I should've been quicker and just walked away after taking the shot.
>>2931352
I'll have to read more on the subject. I'm sure it will give me a boost of confidence once I know what I can and can't do legally.
How do I get this kind of film look with digital? Obviously you need the right colors and lighting but then how do you edit it to look similar to this? The first thing I guess are the crushed shadows and the slight grain but there is more to it that I just can't put my finger on since I don't have much editing knowledge.

I currently have a G7 with the 14-140mm kit lens and the 25mm 1.7.
Now the times has come to the the kitlens go and get the 24-70mm equivalent zoom that many recommend to me and I found 2 options:
>A: Panasonic 12-35mm 2.8
>B: Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 + a cheap AF speedbooster i found from Kipon
They are both stabilized and parfocal with constant aperture and both will cost me between 750-850€ but I can get the Panasonic for cheaper if I'm lucky (I actually missed an amazon sale for 400€ which I still hate me for because I hesitated). The Sigma+speedbooster has the advantage that It opens the EF mount up for me with a faster aperture but the cheap Kipon speedbooster is a certain risk. Also, the in-lens stabilizer of the Canon won't be able to work with the IBIS of future panasonic cameras, if I ever decide to upgrade.
Any pointers?

Thoughts?
I have a chance to get one relatively cheap.
Should I invest?
I'm in search for an everyday camera with just one lens, not to heavy and big to carry around and I love film.
