Forget to update to iOS 10?
That effect is what happens when you have HDR active and there is subject motion. The camera tried to prevent his skin from blowing out due to overexposure, but because he was moving, the second exposure was displaced relative to the first one, and the gray area is where the blend should have occurred. This is compounded by the fact that the "brighter" exposure happens at a lower shutter speed, so it tends to blur more easily.
Some anon posted it on /b/. But that's definitely belongs to /p/.

Should I back it up /p/?
So the main difference of this camera with the Lomo'Instant camera is that it is automatic?

Seems pretty cool for a 2016 item. Not to mention backing saves you 35% off the top which is nice.
should you back up a format that already exists since years with cameras that you could buy today for less money producing the same exact image buying the same film you'll use for this 2016 hipster shitty version with apple marketing techniques on creating hype and selling something just because of the external looks of the machine, but not offering anything new inside of it in terms of evolution. Back it up if you are a Black Lives Matter supporter, but if you are one of us, one of 'the others', don't do it. Buy instead the new camera by Impossible, it's also a horrible looking overpriced camera marketed to hipsters and people in /film/
I'll take notes of any advices, im trying to get better at this. 1/5

Are you drunk? Honest question.
>>2927406
Yes, honest answer
>>2927408
Good, so am I. You worried me for a moment. We can have a good laugh about it tomorrow.
I recently bought a Canon Fd 50mm 1.4, I was cleaning it today and noticed some spots.
Is it fungus? And if so, can it go away by exposing it to the sun?
>>2927299
1. One can't see shit on your picture.
2. Just Google how fungus looks you retard
3. No, exposing fungus to sunlight won't kill it. Best method is to use saliva to clean it.
Aaaaaaaaand sage/hide
>>2927299
It is fungus and is scratched to fuck. Even if you get rid of the fungus it already etched into the glass and the scratches fuck up the IQ even more. Your best bet is to throw it out before it spreads the spores on the rest of your gear
>>2927372
Fuck, thanks for the advice
what does /p/ think of the G5X?
Just get the new EOS M5

Hi /p/, video noob here.
There's a LOT of aspect ratio and some are very similar.
So, why should I use a certain aspect ratio, what impact does it have on the movie?
Wider ratios convey a sense of scale. More square ratios.. don't.
Take kill bill - when the bride is in the coffin, QT switches to a 4:3 to convey a feeling of claustrophobia. But when he made hateful 8, he went for 2.76:1 70mm.
>>2927061
ok so when shooting landscapes, i should use a wider aspect ratio?
>>2927085
You know not only is Google a fucking thing, there's also a stupid questions thread and a video thread.
Hey everyone, new to this thread but I've been a photographer for a while, mostly freelance, shoot a lot of landscape images and action sports.
My current setup consists of:
- Canon 6D
- 24-105mm f/4L
- Rokinon 14mm f/2.8
- Canon 50mm f/1.8
- Canon 100mm f/2.8
- Canon 70-300mm f/4
I shoot with these lenses which are mostly good quality glass, especially the L series lens I do have.
A problem I'm running into is when I'm shooting anything I go to do some work after in Lightroom, and there's always a weird look to my photos. They don't seem sharp. Also I shoot raw. When I open the photo in LR and click on it, it looks a certain way and then it changes a second later and it's less vivid and seems worse and I don't know if anyone knows what I'm talking about but I'm not getting the look I want for my images most of the time. Keep in mind I've been shooting for a long time my camera settings and focus are always the first thing I make sure are perfect. I just feel like it's something to do with my export settings or something but I've done quite a lot of experimenting.
Pic is some of my work.

>>2927011
That could be just how raw files look like, you do have to do some post work on them. Try shooting in jpeg with different profiles and see if the problem is still there. Maybe you should invest on learning post processing. Nice pic btw
>>2927011
It's probably showing the jpg for a second (jpg information from the camera is stored in the raw file even if you shoot just raw). Shoot raw+jpg and compare them.
The raw file untouched has no sharpening, contrast, saturation etc. added so will appear soft and drab looking. I usually add a preset to the raws to get something near what I want, then play about with them.
I'm no expert though and could be completely wrong.
what do you think /p/, legit?

there's this annoying fucking thing on my viewfinder.
Cant seem to find where it physically is. I can see it on the mirrors, but cant pin point where to brush/blow/scrape.
It doesnt show up on pictures though.
Help? It's triggering my OCD.

Hey, so I'm trying to pick up photography as a hobby (never owned a good camera before, only ever used my phone) but I'm not sure what I should get. I just bought a Canon Powershot SX410 IS for 200$, and it would have been great, but I've found that you can't manually adjust the shutter speed- something I need to do for action shots.
I want to mainly do photos of wildlife and landscape, so I need to be able to zoom fair distances, and take fast-shutter photos (which needs to be manually adjustable). I'm currently looking at another Powershot or maybe a Nikon Coolpix
My budget is about $200, any suggestions? (Pic related, I'd like to be able to get photos close to, if not exactly that)

its just a little above your price range but the d3300 from nikon is freaking amazing for the price. the body alone is maybe $220? but its a normal DX frame camera. if you buy the kit for $400 you get 2 lenses that are pretty fantastic to start out with. Ultralight, perfect for hikes, stunning quality for what it is.

coolpix p530s are around that price.
