Living in Victoria, Australia and want to start hunting rabbits. Where can I find some without finding myself on someone's property?

What do you wear to keep your legs warm yet mobile in icy terrain? I find the issue with snowpants is that they cause more falling due to restriction of movement. This is one time I envy the grillios with their shaved legs wearing leggings and tights and still be warm wearing jeans in -20C weather.
>inb4 just swim in 5 deg weather until your body's cells start generating more and more heat
I'm trying but it's taking a long time...
>>945564
rei merino base layer
oros outer layer
>>945567
Undies and socks aren't that big of an issue. Especially since I can normally just toss glove inserts near my toes to keep my feet from freezing.
I'm just more wondering about pants and how to keep them less bulky but still warm.
>>945564
My bf has super hairy legs but he wears men's thermals and even women's tights and he's said they don't bother him. He wears them under his work pants and normal jeans
Found half a Senko in a 22" Lake Trout stomach today, hard as a rock and virtually fossilized, must have been there for years. Fish seemed healthy but probably didn't help it. Careful with your plastics people.
>>944991

>>942810
Also, use an Ultimate Worm instead of plastic senko. They will last nearly forever and won't get pulled off the hook.

woops this was supposed to be in the fishing thread. Oh well. PSA then I guess.
Hey /out/ recommend me some good, high speed low drag /out/ shoes for edc life.
Thanks
Just got a pair of inov8 roclite 290s really nice shoe, I highly recommend them. Before that I had some new balance minimus, which I felt were shit on wet rock, and before that some merrell all out peaks which were fantastic.
>>944265
Thanks bro, they look nice.
Let's see if more anons come forward with some more recommendations.
>>944261
where do you walk around mostly?
Ok so i am homeless. I live in my truck. Doing it since october, breddy comfy. But it just got 85 in the day and 75 and humid at night. How do u guys deal? Do u just move to maine?
Gyms are a cheap way to shower if you get sweaty.
>>943597
I would think it should be obvious, anon. Where are you living?
>>943613
H town
And i don't see how it is so obvious. Of course i have a gym membership.
Britbong here.
As we're well into the new year, I've starting to 'get stuff together' ready for the Spring when I can start getting to get /out/ again. I've just found a very battered and dried up bottle of Jungle Formula MAX and I'm looking to replace it, possibly looking at other similar products. I've always used DEET based stuff as it's ye olde faithful but have just stumbled across Saltidin based products like Smidge- which doesn't pong, doesn't leave you sticky, doesn't eat your gear and supposedly is water resistant. Does this stuff really stack up to DEET? It seems a little too good to be true.
What insect repellent do people use and find effective? I'm not after 'alternative', 'natural', or vegan friendly stuff I want raw exterminatus grade bug deterrent here.
Brand recommendation and feedback from Saltidin users highly appreciated!
>>943085
Picardin stuff isn't too bad if you really want to stay away from DEET.
It might just be in my head, but seems like the DEET works well for skeeters but not gnats and other bugs while the picardin was keeping everything away a little better. But idk, I neet to use it more to compare.
Wearing long sleeves and pants is still the best way to keep bugs away. Even if it's warm, get some light long sleeve shirts. There are a lot of good fishing shirts like that. Either Under Armour type material or Columbia fishing gear shit are my go-tos.
>>943088
Saltidin and Picardin are the same stuff I'm sure?
>>943085
Here's a tip mate. Buck up and quit being such a pansy.
If they are really bothering you roll up your sleeves. The midges will go for you less sensitive arms and are easier to brush of.
Does anyone here ski?
Kinda.
Yeah, I'm skiing in Andorra next week. Fingers crossed the snow will be good.
>>942848
i was wicked into snowboarding when i was younger but the price has gotten fucking outrageous. its not that cant afford its that since dropping so much dough for one day i feel like i have to force myself to have fun and get as many runs in as possible. Which near the end kind of jsut sucks. so now i really only ride on powder days with a shop pass or make it a full week trip
>>942864
two friends from my hometown moved out to utah and heavy into the #braaaaaaaaaaplyfe but yours looks way different than your from that angle. mind posting a pic of the full thing?
Some day I want to dig a really deep hole. With ramps spiraling down. Then dig horizontally to make chambers.
It'll probably be the death of me. Maybe it could be a modern day dungeon...
Any personal stories of earthworks or digging tunnels on the honestead?
anon it's gonna cave-in and smush you, then slowly fill with water, then develop into a sort wetland ecosystem and then Pepsi's gonna come and fish there amongst your bones is that what you want

Is he a manlet?
Does being short carry any advantages towards surviving in the Australian wilderness?
>>941989
>Is he a manlet?
Do you really need to ask? It's quite obvious.
>>941989
The fact that he has to stand on a rock is a sure giveaway.
>Manlet
>Shorter
>Less weight to carry around
>Less energy (food) needed
>Smaller shelters needed
If there's no predators or competition, the advantages of being a manlet outweigh the extra speed and strength lanklets can get

1. Compared to raising chickens, how difficult is it to raise bees for honey? Is it a "science" onto itself?
2. I have 2 solid acres of grass that I could plant with flowers (or whatever is best). Would that greatly increase honey production, or no?
>>934899
It really depends. If you're trying to produce honey commercially, you need to invest a lot of money in things that will increase production at the expense of hive health and consequently things to keep them from dying at your hand. If you're producing honey for personal use, you can afford to leave them adequate amounts, taking only what you need, and they'll do fine on their own.
I grew up with honey being a family hobby and have been wanting to get into it myself as an adult; I drew up pic related as an easy way to make a top-bar hive, if you want to save yourself from paying for a langstroth. With top-bars, you have to remove whole sections of comb, and never take more than 25% of it, but that'll be enough for personal use.
bumping for interest
>>935406
There's probably not a lot of people who have much knowledge about this. I'm no expert, but I'm the guy who grew up on it, I can probably answer the simpler questions you'd have.

It's funny how hippies say that they love the environment but they litter and leave trash everywhere they go
besides the hammock itself what else would i need and how much am i looking to spend? getting a ENO singlenest and i live in eastern NC
pic unrelated also
Just to set up you'll need - hammock, tree straps & whoopie slings. To sleep in it you'll need a sleeping bag & an under quilt or a sleeping pad.
I made my own tree straps and whoopie slings. The straps cost about $11 and the whoopie slings were free so don't know for you (a friend gave me a shit ton of amsteel blue).
>>945603
I got a hammock for about $20 made from the same fabric parachutes are made of. It's extremely lightweight and has a cupholder that is the bag for the hammock as well. I can't really say anything about the durability but it's doing a great job so far.
Just look it up on amazon.
http://www.theamericanmirror.com/photos-fields-trash-left-environmentalists-pipeline-protest/
How do we stop environmentalists from destroying the environment?
>>945494
Those are the hangers on. People who come with the environmentalists who don't really care about the cause. "Posers" They have a problem that makes them want to be with other people doing "something" to feel better about whatever is wrong with their lives. They don't really become part of that something. Normal people actually become part of something and actually do something about it. There will always be posers and hangers on causes crap like this.
>>945501
So? What about the environmentalists who weren't posers? Why didn't they clean up the place even if it wasn't their trash? They supposedly care very much about the environment but couldn't be bothered to clean up the mess that their protest created. Why do leftists ALWAYS leave their protest areas a complete mess?
>>945511
Maybe they left first.
From what I've seen, all humanity leaves trash where ever they go. Only like 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of the population actually pickup or pack out trash.

Will the western United States ever be settled?
We like to think of the days of the frontier as being over but these regions are still unpopulated. What does /out/ think will happen? Will people eventually move out there or will cities keep getting bigger?
Also does the lack of development in these areas have to do with the fact that the federal government owns a lot of the land?
I fucking hope not. Cancerous coastal cucks need to stay put.
>>944495
There is quite literally another thread on here filled with liberals crying that evil republicans plan to sell western land slightly smaller than fucking connecticut.
The federal govt owns that land. Sell me all you want
>>944501
They own shitty areas (mountains, deserts, nothing like fertile river valleys) portions of which would would otherwise be owned by ranchers and loggers and miners who would abuse them.
