Is he a manlet?

Does being short carry any advantages towards surviving in the Australian wilderness?
>>

>Is he a manlet?
Do you really need to ask? It's quite obvious.
>>
>>941989
The fact that he has to stand on a rock is a sure giveaway.
>>
>Manlet
>Shorter
>Less weight to carry around
>Less energy (food) needed
>Smaller shelters needed

If there's no predators or competition, the advantages of being a manlet outweigh the extra speed and strength lanklets can get

but then why are Polynesians who travelled the oceans in small boats with little resources and have no predators on those islands so tall and well-built?
>>
>>942031
food so bountiful they can sit around all day eating pineapples and strumming miniature guitars no need to forage or struggle

Being smaller means you require less calories.
But anyways, he doesn't live out there. Building these things and posting how to do it is just a hobby for him.
>>
>>942029
>6' 3"
>longer legs
>longer stride
>faster pace
>less steps
>clear "obstacles" easier because they are not obstacles for long legged people
>less energy expended

The downside is there's more spiderweb coverage if you don't have your spiderweb stick spinning in front of you as you walk.

t: someone who worked as a clown carnie on 10 feet tall stilts who did races against people who didn't have silts
>>
>>942079
Stilts are OP as fuck, even if you've not trained with them that much. Tall people have a wicked advantage. The only trump card is being born in Kenya or Ethiopia. They literally have bones, tendons, cartilage, and muscle that are genetically bred for running. They were literally born to run.
>>
>>942079
>less energy expended

dubious claim detected
>>
>>942086
these things look like they'd make great everyday sporting gear
>>
>>941989
The amount of energy required to move an object is relative to the object's weight. If that object is a person, a heavier person will burn more calories than a lighter person regardless of whether that movement is building a house or picking their nose.

Height and gait have other advantages in a survival scenario, but the ideal physique for survival is most likely going to be tall and lean.
>>
Smaller target for dropbears.
>>

northern hemisphere on the other hand

It is high school physics.
>>
>>941989
Taller people shed heat faster. Shorter people tend to hold heat better.
>>
>>943393
Then why do women always feel cold? Checkmate atheist.
>>
>>942001
>>941989
Hey may well be a manlet but my guess is he's standing on a rock so the roof of the shelter is higher.

>Taller people shed heat faster.
Which means they produce more heat.
>>
>>941989
yeah
you can suck off the 'roos without kneeling down
>>
>>943570
What? More surface area means more heat dissipated

That's why heat sinks are spiky
>>
>>943622
This is why I will never get a Mohawk.
>>
>>942029
this

you also lose heat at slower pace
>>
>>942192
It's wrong tho.

There's reason why big animals like elephants and hippos are slow fucks, while smaller ones like big cats or antelopes are fast and mobile.
>>
Actually not true. Bergmann's law states that animals retain more body heat the larger they are in size and the closer they are in shape to a sphere. A taller person has more surface area than a shorter person, that's true, but, because of the square-cube law, a taller person has a higher ratio of surface area to volume. Meaning they have more relative volume that is not exposed to heat loss.

That's why mammal species are larger the farther north you go and why endothermic animals get more ball like the smaller they are.
>>
If he is going to war to against abbos, he would have advantage in ranged combat due to being a smaller target and he would have easier to hide.
>>
>>943622
It's about the surface area to volume ratio. Eg. lankets have a higher sa to v ratio than manlets due to the much higher increase in volume when compared to surface area. Thus while they shed more heat, their bodies have more space to store more shit like muscles, organs and the larger skellington

Oh shit someone already answered
