I know exactly what you mean. When I was younger I had this hole in the back yard and when we would have our outside play time I would dig in it, make it wider and deeper. I still kind of want to do that. Of course, around here, I probably wouldn't find anything good, and I'd probably hit the water table really fast, and I'd never have the resources or money to make it into something nice.
