What are /o/'s comments on the news?
My comment is that they're releasing too many cars. MP4-12C, 540C, 570S, 625C, 650S, 675LT, P1, I'm starting to lose track. And yes, I had to look it up on Wikipedia.
>makes one awesome car 20 years ago
>makes pretty good performance cars now and a halo hypercar model, but like 10 different variants of those lesser models.
Where did all this startup cash come from? Was it all built from revenue off of the mp4 12c?
Why Americans hate this car so much?
>Pontiac Trans Am
>Pontiac Can Am
>Pontiac Grand Am
>Pontiac Grand Prix
>Pontiac Le Mans
Americans btfo by doritos.

why do europeans care about americans opinions so much
The bearing was shot on this one, and it allowed oil to mix with air before passing through the engine, as well as letting the impellers shake around inside the housing, chewing up the blades and gouging the housing a little bit. The exhaust side looks pretty good, just covered in unburnt oil.
This whole engine is all sorts of fucked up right now, but my question is do I need a new intake housing now that it's slightly damaged?
I'd to just pulling a junkyard turbo and replacing it altogether, but my dad thinks he can rebuild it and buy a new intake impeller.
Here you can see where the blades dug into the housing.
hello?
>>15479508
It depends on how chewed up it is. As long as the new impeller spins freely I would say it's fine. There may be a slight loss in efficiency since the surface isn't smooth but it's probably negligible.
Can we agree that this is the best idea in commercial transportation since the invention of the locomotive?

> be 2016
> don't even have electric only lanes on major freeways yet
> trucking industry decades behind consumer vehicles in efficiency and alternative fuel
> this fucking faggot comes on /o/ posting some gay 18-wheeler electric overhead trolley shit
> as if any major carrier would cough up the R&D capital to make even a concept
>>15479489
Murrika problems I guess. Enjoy your stone age Peedurbills.
>>15479489
It is all old tech.
The only hard part is getting the cash and political will to built the infrastructure.
Once you have major routes between cities and ports electrified. The trucking companies will start adopting trucks that can use it.
>manufacturer discontinues na engine for performance car A
>now its turbo, but instead a 400 hp 4.0 its a 400 hp turbo 3.0.
>perf car A is now in its next generation with no increase in performance, but now they can say it has an all new engine.
>perf car A can now get massive gains from simple mods and a tune while maintaining better economy off boost
turbo is best

Less emissions
>>15479427
good point anon, not increasing performance every year is hardly progressive is it?
If I'me making a project car should I go drift missile, bumper falling off, spray can paint job all business and no class style or total sleeper, intial d, perfect lines and car show ready style?
My whole goal is to get the best acceleration and speed out of a 4cyl japanese car. Probably going pre-2000 honda prelude coupe, civic coupe, or civic hatchback.
what?

shit bait thread
sage and move on if you have to post
>>15479309
Have you ordered your German godmachine yet?
>nuBMW
The M2 is their least disappointing car yet, but it's still nowhere as good as their cars prior to 2006.
>unironically driving a Big Man Willy
>coupe
Cuck shed on wheels
So, wheat's the verdict on this?
Good idea or mall crawler bro truck tier?
>>15478867
There's a few issues with it.
>1, it's a bitch to keep clean, seriously, there's a guy here who says he uses a mix of simple green and something else to clean his suburban with bedliner on it, and scrub brushes
>2, if it begins to rust underneath at all, have fun
>3, after so long it begins to go to shit and can be a bitch to remove
>4, it looks like fucking garbage, just primer or faux-tina the thing, anything but bedliner
>>15478867
Every person I've seen do it is doing so because of rust. I'd never buy a vehicle with it done nor would I apply it as it looks like shit.
>>15478867
It looks like shit, use plastidip or getgud and afford new paint
How's it goin' /o/,
Just gonna cut straight to the chase, just bought out a garage, and got like 100 of these spark plugs, anyone have any idea what the hell they're for?
Seen plugs almost like them before in a skidoo, but don't know what they're called or anything,
Confused as shit and some idea would be awesome, posting pics
Tl;dr, the fuck are these for?
>>15478675
Smash them and chuck them at shit
That's what I'm thinking lol
>mfw
Also weird car finds
I don't have a picture of it, but there's someone who lives near me (UK) who's reg plate is "M1 CAR"
Why are muh aesthetics fags the most obnoxious people into cars? They are almost as bad as stancefags and wheel gapfags (they overlap quite often). Who in their right mind buys the most basic shitbox version of a car and then throws on the highest trim bodykits, wheels, facelifts etc that mostly cost as much as the car?
>mfw my W202 has a patch of surface rust

>Who in their right mind buys the most basic shitbox version of a car and then throws on the highest trim bodykits, wheels, facelifts etc that mostly cost as much as the car
Someone who wants to look fast without having to worry about the running costs and maintenance involved in owning a sports car. It's less flashy rice and girls won't know the difference if it's clean enough.
A bit sad since you'll get bent over by Mustangs and Camaros at the lights, though.

>beat up chassis
>engine swap
TIME FOR DEATH
What do you guys think of this engine? Is it worth it? I want to buy an F150 but I'm not sure yet.
>buying a non V8 truck

Explain brotrucks to me. What is the appeal and is it ever used for proper truck stuff?

What are your comments?
Is this the best looking aftermarket radio for this interior? even the led colors match in this car.
>>15477874
Yeah, goes great with the cheap fan plastered in the middle of the dash and the Intel sticker.
since it's the radio, you should aim for best value vs best looking
i'd try to find something with bluetooth and a small touchscreen that costs 100 more but has so much more to offer
>>15477874
Eww to everything there. And no, it isn't, you can get basic looking Pioneers that allow you to set the color to whatever you like.
>have sort of big trunk space
>can't fit in anything larger than a case of beer
why?
>>15477766
Because you got cucked by safety.
>>15478560
My problem was more about the really small trunk opening but maybe our thoughts are related.
>>15477766
>Sedan
There's your problem. You could fit more stuff in a Golf.
