Okay /o/. I need help. I know jack shit on synopsis for cars. I have a 2000 Lincoln LS. The check engine light is on because it's been misfiring for a while. I'm driving and it hesitates but keeps going. Then the thing dies while while i'm going 25-30. I turn the car back on but it just dies again. I turn the car on again keeping a high rev and make it home (it doesn't shift until a very high rev). I disconnected the battery and let it sit. Any ideas?

I just found it weird but that doesn't really help my problem.
>>
OK, first thing it needs is coils. That's the misfire. You can check codes for specific cylinders but if one's bad the others aren't far behind.

Once coils are replaced test drive it to see if it runs ok. If so, then sweet. Bad coils set up interference that freaks the pcm out and it goes into limp mode causing all kinds of hell. Bad coils can also kill catalytic converters causing them to break up and clog the exhaust to the point the car will hardly run. Hopefully that's not the case yet

First, there is a definite reason why the STI was 10k more expensive when new than the WRX and it wasn't just power. Just because they were both AWD sedans/hatchbacks powered by turbocharged flat 4's doesn't mean there weren't massive differences between them.

The WRX has ALWAYS been saddled with shit transmissions made of glass. For cost reasons, the WRX always shares its transmissions with the base model Imprezas, which aren't up to turbo duty. WRX's have a reputation for blowing transmissions as a result.
STI models got a bespoke 6 speed manual only which is fairly bulletproof. And it's not just the transmission that separates the WRX from the STI. The STI also has bespoke suspension that will not swap over. You would have to change EVERYTHING over and not just a part here or a a part there. The AWD system is also much more advanced on the STI. While the WRX has a permanent split in power front/rear, the STI is capable of sending all the power to whichever wheel/wheels has the most traction. So while the WRX always powers all 4 wheels with no deviation, the STI, under certain circumstances, is one wheel drive.

and the price gap when new also means something else: The WRX, despite not being as fast or as good handling, is more expensive to insure than an STI. Why? Because the WRX was cheaper. This means the WRX more quickly fell into the hands of teenagers who very quickly wrapped the fucker around a tree trying to be Ken Block.
By contrast, the STI was always bought by more mature enthusiasts due to being more expensive. So STI's don't seem as big a risk to accidents to insurance companies.

Is the transmission issue still present in the new model WRXs? They got a new 6 speed when Subaru dropped the Impreza name from the WRX/STi line.

Is there a more realistic arcade racer than Grid 2? Every car feels different and driving how you would in real life more or less leads to better gameplay.

Honestly GTA 5 is pretty good. One of my favourite arcade racing games out there right now. Especially with the recent race type + cars.
>>
>>15485854
Grid 2 is just drift in every corner to win.
Grid Autosport is better.

Hell yeah
I raced with and watched the NoDo crew on gta online pretty fun and addicting

It doesn't have the usual Hyundai badges at the rear. So this is the second official model from the brand Genesis.

How do you think Genesis will be? Will they catch up the market? Discuss it in General.

Sold my 2006 Mustang GT that was nothing but problems today. Picking up a 2012 Corvette Grand Sport tomorrow. So excited to have a real sports car! What mods do you suggest? I'm going to start with a Vararam Snakecharmer intake and a 93 dyno tune. That should get it to about 480 crank hp.

What problems did you have with the 06 mustang GT? All mine have been pretty solid.

Grats on the car though, C6s are a pretty good deal. Had an old LS1 that was solid, as far as the motor goes.

I guess i got a lemon. I bought it with 60k on it and sold it at 72k. In those 12k miles I had to replace both front control arms, every suspension bushing, struts, shocks, springs, alternator, water pump, smart junction box, fuel pump, and various little things. I bought the car for 12k and put another 6k into it in repairs and maintenance. It still rode like shit so I just sold it.

So I wanna get one of these, but i always read, that the parts are hard to get since its a 6 cylinder from subaru. on the other hand i hear people say its just like every other subaru and you can exchange everything. so which one is it? is it reliable enough to be a daily driver?

well im from germany and switzerland is close (they bought a lot of em) and most seem to be running that are sold here and they also all have the transmission problems fixed.
>>
>>15485016
Ive drive many and worked on many
Keep in mind that this was 15 years ago.
But in my experiance they are the most reliable subaru made.
Just add a trans cooler.
Parts never seemed to be an issue back then. But may be now.
I would think most normal parts like starters and alternators would be easy.

A friend of mine who owned a 2.0 r-spec was saying the 3.8 makes less power than the 2.0 at the top end of the mod spectrum. Thought that was weird.
