Malaysian carmaker Perodua launched a new car yesterday.
It looks the /o/ car.
Hard to get any more generic than that.
>>15483984
Generic South East Asian, yeah. It has that stubby look. The way many cheap cars in slightly poorer countries do.
>>15483981
Looks like a frankenstein's monster made with Fiesta, i20 and Corolla parts.
Absolutely characterless.
Audi R8 thread: Discussion & Opinions
Reskinned Gallardo.
>>15483985
Certainly wouldn't pick it over the R8
>>15483980
Sounds great, looks like a generic supercar. I can't imagine why the 8cyl model exists.
Not my favourite Audi by a long shot, though. If I had the cash for the R8 I'd sooner spend it boosting a Quattro to WOT.
how do you take care of your cars leather?
post your leather care tips here pls n thnx
>>15483817
UV2. Makes it nice and shiny.
I run a Chauffeur service.
When the leather gets dirty, we use leather cleaner.
Brand doesn't matter. Usually its done once a month but for you it should be much less frequent.
But every week we also buff the seats with Carnauba based wax. The same kind used for paintwork.
This reduces friction from rubbing on the seats and makes them last longer.

>See on fb that a Pagani Huayra from Connecticut was in town yesterday

Fuck my life.
Who cares
Not like you'll drive it anyway
im assuming this is the one you are talking about.
ive seen it a couple times at a local cars and coffee meet. its meh.
>>15483828
Yup, it was in Montreal 3 weeks ago.
Yesterday the dude from OB Prestige was driving his Huayra in Montreal while he was going to buy a F40 from Ferrari Quebec and i think the Bugatti Veyron from Lamborghini Montreal.
Hey /o/, could you help me? I'm trying to think of FWD cars with transverse V8s. So far I've just got:
>buick lucerne (northstar)
>monte carlo SS (LS4)
>oldsmobile toronado
>>15483460
Basically what you've got. American slushbox Cracker Barrel Transport Units. No one else was dumb enough to do that.
>>15483460
Early 2000s Cadillac Devilles had a transverse Northstar as well I believe.
>>15483460
Cadillac deville in the 80s and 90s.

I'm looking for a used, nice looking, manual transmission, speedy car, preferably before 1995. I'm on a budget of roughly $7500, drive doesn't really matter to me.
What would be /o/'s recommendation for such a creature? Car retard here so please be gentle.
Pic for what I've kinda been thinking of, no idea if its fast or not though. Its an 87 300ZX 2+2 GL near me with 166,000 miles, he's asking $3800 for it.
Z31's have a very limited aftermarket, and the turbo 3.0L v6 only makes 200hp. A GT35R turbo can get you to 400-500hp but would require a lot of supporting mods.
Look into a 1995 or earlier 240sx with a SR20DET or a LS1 powered Camaro.
>>15483389
He wants around 1k too many dollars for it. No turbo.
The question I have to ask, since you're looking at a Z31, do you buy into the late 80s to mid-90s japanese wedge car aesthetic?
If so, third gen turbo supras that have been very well cared for and have had the headgasket replaced with copper or whatever the fuck it was.
Turbo second gen RX7s.
Z32 300ZXes, though if you find a twin turbo, it may be out of your pricerange. The NAs were still pretty zippy.
AW11 MR2 but u mite die tho when you spin it out.
If you don't need a wedge, do you care if it turns gud?
>>15483389
Get a Starion and try to put a 4G63 in it.Might need better suspension and maybe use the transmission from whatever Evo the engine's pulled from. Also take the axle, and see how that swap goes.
aight guys.
Looking at buying a track car/ daily to work on but be ready to drive immediately so i can take my off-road wheeler off the road (mind the pun) and finish removing rust and building it.
Options i have given myself are either a Gen 2 Toyota MR2 Turbo or a 2JZ Turbo Toyota Supra. I know they are apples and oranges but the MR2 would be an amazing track car and great for the ranges in my area but undriftable where as the Supra would make up for that but lose some of the quirks of the MR2 (and make a fair bit more power). Not 100% on the shape either.
Opinions? stories?
>>15483351
No such thing as a daily driver track car
Maybe a daily driver you can take to the track, if so buy a sports car (could be as simple as a used FRS/BRZ or S2000) made in the last 5 years and only do suspension/brake/tire mods and bolt ons that won't affect reliability.
Almost got killed in a mr2 when the back end swung out wildly and broadside a tree

are they really that bad if they lose traction?

The torsion bar is frozen to my driver side control arm and I have no access to torches at this time. It won't be until next week at the earliest. I tried using a 1.5 ton bottle jack mounted to push the control arm off the bar. After the bottle jack wouldn't push anymore I grabbed my 8lb sledge and gave it hell. Then I pulled the high lift jack out thinking that'd do it.
>1.5 Bottle jack mounted horizontally inside the control arm pushing on the torsion bar
>High lift jack from cross member to control arm
>15 minutes of hulk mode with the 8lb sledge
>All three efforts combined and not even a budge
Anyways, parts
>Moog upper & lower control arms; ball joints & bushings preassembled
>Moog idler arms
>Ac delco inner & outer tie rod ends with new sleeves
>FL & FR side CV axles
>FL & FR wheel hubs
>Monroe shocks all around
>Timken axle seals
>Resurfaced rotors
>New brake pads & shoes for the drums
>Felpro oil pan gasket
>Timken front main seal
>Exhaust gasket to convertor at the flange
That's what will be done by next week. On order
>Intake gaskets & hardware
>Valve cover gasket
>Pickup & return fuel line
>Fuel filter
Things I have had for awhile that I should do sometime soon
>All 3 u joints
>Corvette servo
>Bulb for license plate; one still works
>Bulb for reverse lamp
>Door lock actuators for fl & fr
I'm in a hurry to get the front end done. The other stuff can wait. Once the intake gaskets get here then it'll probably sit for a week or two.

What kind of RDAS you running on your vapes bro.
What is a car that says "I'm a hip dude who loves rad stuff"

I'm trying to find a good exhaust kit for my 2006 Rav4 V6. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Looking for something that will sound good but not too loud, thinking about tuning eventually, but I'd rather do it once with all of my hardware installed.
>inb4 "wow, what a fag car"
I'm here looking for advice, not hate from elitists who think that their Hondas are the only good cars.
>>15482914
>>15482914
There is no kit. You'll have to pick the muffler yourself and have it bolted or welded in. You might try no mufflers first.
>>15482916
For once I agree with your shitty comment.
>>15482914
Op just don't, your car wasn't designed for it.
Hey /o/,
My dad owns a 2000 Ford Expedition. He doesn't drive it much so I'm getting it.
I tried starting it today and nothing happened. The security system makes no noise or do anything when I hit the key fob unlock button. The unlock button in the doors don't work. There is no beeping noise when I insert the key. Only the flashing security light blinks.
What's wrong with it?
I tried jumping it with another car but that does nothing either, with no effect on the Expedition.
>>15482904
Dead battery
How long has it been sitting?
Could be the Ford anti-theft. Check the battery cables. If they come loose or get corrosion blocking the connection, the Ford Genius Computer disables the ignition. Pull the cables, make sure they're clean, replace them securely, then jump the car. That's what I've always had to do with a Mustang and an Edge.
Steering wheel wobbles (from tire response) in my V6 Ecoboost Mustang at highway speeds. What's wrong?

Are they THAT much better on gas than the old Econolines? 170 HP to haul over 2 tons of shit?
>>15481940
Non Ecoboost cars are shit.
>>15481940
They're an imitation of Mercedes Sprinter bands and they're pretty awesome. Vans have always been ugly that's why people put murals on them.
>>15481940
Aren't the new econolines FWD? The old ones were fun as hell
