Why are muh aesthetics fags the most obnoxious people into cars? They are almost as bad as stancefags and wheel gapfags (they overlap quite often). Who in their right mind buys the most basic shitbox version of a car and then throws on the highest trim bodykits, wheels, facelifts etc that mostly cost as much as the car?

Someone who wants to look fast without having to worry about the running costs and maintenance involved in owning a sports car. It's less flashy rice and girls won't know the difference if it's clean enough.
A bit sad since you'll get bent over by Mustangs and Camaros at the lights, though.

This really annoys me. To non car people, it is just a car and no one cares. To car people, you can easily tell its the crap version and they are trying to show off.
There is a brand new BMW 316d round the corner from me that has all the M Performance stuff on it which I think is like one above the regular M Sport stuff. Either way, it costs an absolute fortune and with the amount he must have spent on it he could have gotten a good one.
The only way I can possibly see it making sense is if it is a company car and he just went mental with the options. I will see if I can get a photo of it next time I see it, it isn't even debadged.

My 20 year old car doesnt have rust cuz I live in the desert but is has dents and peeling paint everywhere and IDGAF. Under the hood its mostly new or Im planning to replace it in the next year minus the engine/tranny and A/C system.

I have a 19 year old f body where the dash is cracked, the head lights motors dont work, the clear coat on the bumper is coming up, the rims are dirty.
Spending all money on new heads, exaust, TB, intake, suspension, brakes, stg2 t56 kit, etc. I hope people find it uglier than homemade sin. It makes it taste worse when they relize they cant beat an old disgusting joe dirt lookin pontiac.

Rust of any degree negatively affects the structure of the metal.
>>15478402
why ever spend money on a shitbox then?

Rust converter, nigger

That's my 94 Formula right now.
Paint job has all the clearcoat flaking off, front bumper looks acid damaged from the sun, (Fixed the headlight motors but they were broken too), Rims are scuffed to hell and back.
But she runs like a wet dream, not a damn thing wrong except for cosmetics.

I buy good oil and I need two 5 quart jugs, it takes 8 but I always have some left over. Not every single oil change is 100 but I have spent that.
40 bucks for a 5 quart jug of Rotella or Valvoline
Up to 80
15 for an oil filter.
95..Okay 5 bucks off. I have spent that much for an oil change.

Yeah I know. It popped on the way back from a camping trip. Had the trunk literally packed with gear, four people in the cabin and a few bags. The car was 100% fully loaded and I hit a bump. It was bouncing around back there for about 50 miles or so until I could get it home.
Had it re-welded by a guy (not the prettiest job but he installed a new pair of shocks I happened to have as well for me) for $100 so eh. Not the end of the world. It's far from perfect with 315K miles on it. I'm playing a game trying to see how long I can get it to run now. No more winter, or rain if I can help it. Going to try to just stop proliferating the rust and see how long I can get this bastard to run.
