Hey, fuckface. Yeah, you. Does your rifle have an optic on it? Yeah? Does it have irons on it too?
Why? Are you fucking retarded or something. Are you some kind of braindead caveman who carries around usless extra pounds on his rifle because "hurr metal strong". You miss the fucking memo? It's the future now. 2017. That means your optics are going to work, and you don't have to be some skiddish anti-technology assburger.
Clean yourself up and get some self respect.
>optics break, get shot, or malfunction
>no backup iron sights
Might as well kys

why was there only 2000 australians in iraq during the war? isn't there active military around 50k?
what the fuck were the rest of them doing?
not talking shit im just confused
>41 Causalities in Afghanistan
How many were in Afghanistan?

26,000 in Afganistan
It wasent Australia's oil. They should of staid home
>>32585591
Correct me if I'm wrong but Australia did not have a big role in Iraq. They were mostly in Afghanistan.
Still these >>32585602 numbers don't add up since the total military size is at least double what they had in Afghanistan. Perhaps the numbers add up in small amounts and groups when you account for the Navy and Air force.
Why hasn't someone made essentially a double stack tube magazine, something like this crude paint sketch I drew? Seems like a pretty obvious improvement for lever guns, shotguns, etc.

Eh, doesnt seem like a terrible idea to me, but I imagine there would be a lot of feed issues.

Is it a bad idea to clone the M16a4 as my first AR15?
I hear that the 20" barrel and full sized stock are unwieldy indoors, but if the MUHREENS were clearing rooms in Fallujah with it, then it must be decent enough, right? Also, am I losing out in terms of accuracy because the handguard is not free-floated like modern build AR15s?
>>32585097
>but if the MUHREENS were clearing rooms in Fallujah with it, then it must be decent enough, right?
i really hate this fucking retarded line of thinking
they did it with those because they were ordered to, not because thats what was best
>>32585097
Are you wearing a pc? Are you jumping in and out of cars for hd? If not, 20 is fine. I'd rather have the muzzle as far from my face as possible if I had to light off some rifle rounds indoors.
>>32585097
An M16a4 are around the same length as HD shotguns which have been hailed as the king of HD for a very long time
>accuracy
Lol with the 20in barrel youre getting the most velocity out of 5.56 than modern AR15 carbines
I will be going down to Mexico soon for business. I would like to pick up something like pic related while there. My question is, what is the best way to get it back over the border? I have connections, so acquiring the gun will be no issue, my only worry is getting it back home to the states.
>>32585093
Mail it back a piece at a time
Field strip the firearm and ship everything but the frame to your residence. Hide the receiver somewhere like inside the air filter box of your car.

basically the moral of black hawk down is that delta force made up of legolas, jamie lannister, Obi Wan and Bane can be taken down by a bunch of illiterate niggers with aks.
Is there even a point of special forces when the law of numbers is so much more important in modern warfare?
>>32584825
>Well trained soldiers can be killed by a massive, non-stop attacking horde of enemies.
Nazi Germany also is a good example of this. It will just cost you alot more men to kill one guy. Is one guy really worth countless lives?

Out of those of you who have handled both guns which do you prefer? I had a pt and sold it for a sr9 and now I wanna sell my sr9 for another pt. What does /k think about the pt 111?
What the hell is wrong with you
I r stupid?
how did you like the Taurus? Ignore the Glocktards on here btw
I need some different opinions
I'm a PAfag here looking to get a CCW and permit in around July and I've narrowed it down to 3 options
1) CZ-75 compact
2) a rock island 1911 compact
3) a Springfield XD in either .40 or .45
Does /k/ have an opinion of on any of these? I'd like the CZ but I also love .45
>>32584512
I would choose a cz p07 basically still a cz 75 but far more carryable
>>32584537
OP here
1911s are known to do that? Last time I fired one I loved every second of it

>in the gunbag next to it you find... including 500 rounds of ammunition
well, /k/? what do you bring?
A flintlock blunderbuss. At least I could attempt to make ammo if I'm stuck there forever.
>black powder is 3 ingredients but can be made out of two
>I can make it using piss and charcoal
>rocks work fine in a blunderbuss.
I can't think of a better reason to use .577 Tyrannosaur.

so say i wanted to work towards changing the classification of AR's to non-restricted. anyone know a way i can petition the RCMP to do that?
I want to do an Urbex with a buddy of mine here in the Springs, but I don't want to go into drains or old places without my trusty XDm45. What kind of trouble am I looking at if I get caught? Also will be wearing a high-vis jacket so I look like a city worker. Thoughts?
>>32584309
in many places commiting a crime while possessing a firearm turbofucks you with an insta-felony or something.
KNOW YOUR STATES FIREARM POSSESSION LAWS
desu the worst you might encounter is raccoons, druggies and homeless people. MAYBE a coyote (but it would likely bail) or feral dogs.
Pepper spray may be a safer legal alternative. bare in mind that some states have squatter rights, and although a building may be "abandoned" there may be semi-legal residents.
>>32584309
Hard hat may be a better alternative than hi-vis jacket.
You might be able to pull it off if you have a CCW permit. Otherwise you better have a damn good story and be ready to run if you get caught...
Being broken takes running out of the picture. How effective is claiming ignorance in this instance? Also what alternative self defense weapons would you guys recommend?
Looking into getting a reasonably priced revolver pretty soon; been reading & watching reviews for pic related and it seems like a decent choice.
Any thoughts, comments or suggestions? And no, "get a semi-auto" is not the kind of comment I'm looking for.

Why not just buy an older Smith and Wesson without the "Hillary hole" and be done with it? Just look around for a nice used one.
Anyone have a bad experience with Winchester Ammo? I just bought a few boxes of pic related and the quality of the bullet crimps seems to be everywhere. Many of the bullets I can pull in and out of the brass casing (although not completely remove by hand), others feel firmly crimped in place, while others I can spin the bullet freely by hand within the case.
I'm kind of afraid to fire these in my M1A. Anyone have similar experience? I have 6 boxes of this stuff I bought on sale, and all of them seem to have the same problems. It seems to b more than just a simple bad batch.
