What does /k/ think of the operating in this?
>>32571315
Pretty Hollywood but well above average.
>>32571315
hollywood movie but realistic besides the explosions and done well.
>>32571315
Operators operating operationally.
Apart from the fact that they forgot to mention that the reason they couldnt get support was due to the sale of Stingers to local militia groups as part of Clintons destabilisation scheme, and that that CIA blacksite was there to facilitate said sales, not stop them.
Apart from that bretty gud.
Have any of you guys made Solvent traps?
Also how are these little metal rings supposed to supress the sound?
>>32571133
They're not
>>32571143
This. They're supposed to trap the solvent. What are you, retarded?
>>32571133
They're not supposed to suppress sound, they're supposed to fraction the hydrocarbons.
Is there a better APC/IFV/Tank/Recovery Vehicle/scout vehicle than the M113?
Is it even possible to improve it? It seems pretty great as is.
Cheap, and effective.
Gavins are the greatest vehicles ever made.
>>32571007
Yes. The AMPV aka a steel Bradley.
Roughly 70% bigger interior and more reliable.
The M113 was a good vehicle for its time, but its time was over long ago.

Shitty modelling skills
>>32571005
Also, what is it for?
inb4: it's for flying and maneuvering.
>>32571005
I'm no expert when it comes to planes, but I think it's the wing.

Post what your ideal attire is and explain why it would give you an "edge" in whatever SHTF scenario you think would be most likely to occur.
In the beginning stages I believe flying under the radar would be key, as in all elements of "prepping" being prepared for any given situation is ideal but one could very well be stuck with what they have on them. In this regard EDC comes into play but if you manage to get to the gear you have in your vehicle it could make all the difference in the world. Such as a level IIIa soft body armor to be worn under the shirt. If a pandemic were to occur thus leading to traffic blocking all major highways then bailing on foot may be a serious possibility. I am currently working on changing my BOB into a more discreet option for obvious reasons. Rain gear as well as sun protection are a must in just about any environment but also cold weather gear. In the long run getting back to base camp would lead me to consider changing into my more appropriate attire for patrols, assuming "bugging in" and letting things cool down had failed to do much in the inner cities. In this case all of my tactical gear still seems ill fit even if it blends in to the environment. Camouflage is a huge indicator of threat level in my opinion.
Would camouflage get you killed in some scenarios? Does the Russian Gorka scream "tacticool" and would the military see it as a possible foreign threat?
>>32570905
Considering I live out in the middle of fucking nowhere, id switch between my camo depending on the season.
M/84 for summer
Flecktarn spring
Alpenflage fall
M90 winter for winter
so what is the point of this gun? what seperates it from the cheaper bolt action and "scout" rifles?
i held one earlier today and I'm thinking about buying one if i can get it for $1,500 ish.
Memes. That's literally it. The fucking Ruger GSR is a better buy, and that's already overpriced for the features, package and accuracy.
>>32570844
none. any decent modern bolt action should hold 1MOA and 5 rounds.
"Scout" rifles are a meme that belongs in the 1920s.
>>32570844
Yeah don't buy one.
You'd be infinitely more happier with something like a howa mini action with a 16" barrel and a *real* scope.
Seriously you can spend that $1500 on a rifle & scope that's much more capable.
Convince me not to buy a Masada.
>>32570808
You can't find one
>>32570808
Don't do it bro.
>>32570808
Everyone will think less of you if you get one. The fact that you are evenconsidering one degrades people's opinion of you.
How would WW2 have played out if the Brits hadn't broken Enigma?

I'm looking to purchase my first 308 sometime this year but I was hoping you guys would have some advice as to which one and where I should look.
I want it to be a battle rifle but would probably use it for hunting as well (White tail deer and Elk with my brother).
I was looking at the PTR 91 as a possible candidate. Can't really spend over 1500.
I'm probably going to get a Mosin Nagant as well but that's not really a 308 (But damn close)
>>32570659
why not just buy the mosin and a couple crates of ammo
>>32570670
Might do that, but wanted something that wasn't made almost 70 years ago.
Also hearing a lot about a 6.5 round.
>>32570659
>I was looking at the PTR 91 as a possible candidate. Can't really spend over 1500.
Do it faggot. Don't worry about reloading; you're never going to feed it ammo whose cases are worth reloading. Remember it's a battle rifle; expect 2-5MOA with cheap ammo and brutal but reliable cycling.
Went to my first gun show in a few years, and my god have they gone down hill.
>Standard BZZZZZZZZTTTTTTT every few minutes
>Only a few tables that actually had guns
>The rest were all flea market bullshit people had in their garages that they were trying to get rid of
>Ninja tier walmart knives for $50+ that should have been in the $5 bargain bin
>Jerky lady had small ass little pouches of jerky that looked like vacuum sealed dog turns that were all overpriced
>Hardly any milsurp
>Mostly tacticool shit
>$300 Mosins
>GLOCKS
>GLOCKS
>GLOCKS
>Only thing that sort of caught my eye was a used 870 Magnum Special purpose for $369
>Offered $350
>Told no, price was firm
>Same thing for everything else I inquired about from the rest of the vendors
Seriously, you spend all that time and effort to set up and try and sell shit and you don't haggle on price? Do they realize it's not a retail environment and they aren't in their cozy little shops?
My last gun show for a good while now. Pay $10 to go see overpriced garbage, really left a sour taste in my mouth.
Nice blog post I know.
>>Bump for interest
I stopped going to gun shows years ago.
Are gun shows still a complete shit show /K/?
Does anyone still go? Why?
>>32570834
You can find good stuff, it's just not the norm. Gotta know which ones are worth going to.

I've heard so many of these bullshit 20 to 1, whites vs hordes of brown people stories since this middle east shit started.
Who validates these numbers? The Brits getting pot shots taken at them from the other side of the valley? Kek, fuck off.

Been around guns a long time and never bothered getting my ccw, considering it if I decide being on a list doesn't bother me.
I'm not sure I'll feel comfortable with the new striker fired offerings, would carrying a SA only revolver or something hammer down be bad? Should I get a DA/SA?
>>32570467
Carrying a single action revolver would be pretty bad.
You really should try to carry something that's striker fired. DA/SA handguns aren't bad but they require a lot of training to get down.
Buy a good holster that you are comfortable drawing and reholstering on... The gun doesn't matter as much, but when I carried a DA/SA I figured the first shot would probably be a throw away and to focus on the followup shots or learn to cock the hammer as I drew...
>those shoes
disgusting
>>32570487
I don't think I'd feel comfortable with striker fired. All of the pistols I've ever shot (not alot admittedly) have been SA only (1911) or DA/SA.
Striker fired just doesn't inspire confidence for me. It seems too much like carrying single action with no safety.
Can enlisted men in the marine corps wear sam Browne belts or is it just an officer thing. I know enlisted men are allowed to wear swords and sam Browne belts are meant for swords? I'm not in the marines so I wouldn't know the answer myself.
>pic related.
There's gotta be a marine here on /k/. Help me out komrades. One you gear fags gotta know?
>>32570428
Non coms can wear the belt but not the shoulder strap.
>>32570498
Wtf why not. That's gay. Im gonna join now. It looks so classy I was looking forward to it. Non coms can wear the black belt though. What about the squiggly looking shoulder strap.
