So /k/, what are you getting for what when the hearing protection act is passed? It just got introduced to the floor in the new congressional session.
I'm going to be getting a Ruger American Predator soon. Comes with a threaded barrel. So, if we do get suppressors, I'll be throwing a can on that.
>>32599295
When do you think it will officially "pass"?
>>32599295
one of the very very very very rare cases where us germanfags are more liberal. Silencers are allowed for hunters since two years. Just got an La Coruna FR-8 because .308, cheap as fuck and already has a metric-sized thread.
Was also looking at a Ruger American Predator, but the low quality stock was a concern to me.
>>32599298
Could be a while. But Republicans have majority of both houses and the White House. Donald Junior is a big proponent of it. So, we may see it get pushed fast. Here's hoping!
One of the things that I hear about .45 is that it's "old, slow, big and obsolete." Doesn't that make it a great home defense cartridge though? something that won't over-penetrate but will stomp a mudhole in a motherfucker?
nope.
>>32598671
Technically frangible 5.56 is safer to shoot with loved ones behind walls than .45ACP.
>>32598671
yes
I am thinking about buying very very cheap surplus guns from my post-socialistic country (EU member) and then exporting it to USA.
Are imports of "assault weapons" prohibited?
Are tariffs insanely high?
Is there a lot of bureaucracy?
Would you, /k/ommandos, be interested in buying cewl and partially rare Slavshit for relatively cheap prices?
>>32598573
>Are imports prohibited?
yes
>Are tariffs high?
probably
>Is there a lot of bureaucracy?
oh yeah, good luck dealing with the shitheads at Century
>Do you want cheap slavshit
are you fucking kidding me, do I ever
research 922R and receiver/barrel import bans, you'll probably end up having to torch-cut and sell guns as kits
>>32598603
>Yes
Well, fuck.
Not only bureaucracy is insane here, it's almost impossible to import stuff to USA?
For example ministry of defense sells stuff like vz. 61 for 15€ vz. 82 pistols for 10€ and such...
>>32598573
I think the way to go about that would be to import them to a country that America allows imports from, rebrand them, and then ship them to the USA.
Why does (s)he have blue nails? Does it improve accuracy or firepower in any way?
Blue nails reduce heat on your firearms.
>>32598471
>Thought OP was shitting me
>It's a real image from FN's website
Huh. Maybe he's like Fatman from MGS2 and keeps his hands manicured, so he can assemble weapons faster.
Also I've looked at their site a bit more and it's weird how they sell an SBR in 5.56mm, but their .300 BLK gun is only in 16'' barrel length. The .300 was optimized for 9'' barrels.
What would he think of your favorite firearm?
>It's just a good, solid gun.
>PEW PEW PEW
>heh heh, that's nice
>*soda explodes*
>whoeee

>>32598201
Don't the rebels in the Rogue one wear these?
>not waterproof
Just because you can't swim in it doesn't mean it won't keep you dry, mine works fine as a raincoat
Your giving absolute control of the Australian Navy, Army and Air force.
Within 4 years, you've got to make it strong enough to win a sea war and possibility of a ground war against any invader.
>>32598166
turn all guns inward and command the eradication of all Australians then self immolation.
statue of me erected in every nation on earth for doing them a favor
Well, they have some good subs coming in, and a Juan Carlos LHD being built.
The only thing I would change is turning their f-18 tender into a f-35b tender so they could operate off of their own ships. Having some large helicopters with that would also be nice. As would something for aerial refueling.
Besides that they're fine, they punch above their weight. I believe they also have an order for LAV's which for them would be suboptimal. They're better off with the heaviest wheeled vehicles they can get.
>>32598166
Focus my efforts on nuclear weapons and the protection of said weapons and their delivery platforms. Four years would be enough to develop one or two working and deliverable nuclear weapon designs.

they try every year in WA and OR, but so far it hasn't passed so assume it won't this time either. the assault weapons craze died down in 2013 for the most part
>>32598002
the goal is to cut guns from the east/west continental coasts
What's so bad about the VP9? I've seen people on here shit all over it. Got a chance to try one and it shot very well and felt good in the hand. Nothing especially spectacular about it, but it didn't seem like it was going to rape me or anything.
>MUH EXTREMELY RELEVANT REAL WORLD WATER TEST
>COMPLETELY DISREGARD THE FACT THAT I'M SOME FAT FAGGOT NECKBEARD THAT LIVES IN FUCK FUCK ARIZONA
Hate to break it to you, /k/ is fucking stupid in terms of actually assessing the validity of a weapon. Real world testing and carrying for prolonged periods of time aren't valued as a 10 minute video of some faggot throwing his guns at puddles or AR500 plates.
The VP9 is a very reliable gun. Assuming these ""scientific"" mud/water/pussyjuice dunk tests have any sort of weight, this video is quick to dispel any sort of notion that it chokes on muddy water.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJr453erCAc
There is also credible trainers like Wayne Dobbs, Darryl Bolke that use the VP9. They have a lot of good posts on the gun on various forums like pistolforum and hkpro. I don't really care for the VP9 but I'm in no way shitting on it as it's just as reliable as anything HK makes. If you like it, go for it. The only consideration I would suggest you to make is if you like the paddle magazine release.
>>32597869
there is nothing bad about it. This is /k/, where the average poster is
1) retarded as shit
2) poor as shit
3) the whole thing is just a retard echo chamber
You should always do your own analysis, but you're probably just trolling.
>>32597975
>retarded echo chamber
I've never seen a post that discribes /k/ in such an accurate way
Sup /k/?
Picked up my first 1911 today, a Colt. Has fucking pink nail polish to show "fire" really shittily applied. Did the factory do this? Or the exporter/importer into Australia because retard laws? Any ideas?
>>32597755
da fuq. never heard of this being done to a 1911 before.
>>32597755
Aren't guns illegal in your country?
>>32597770
Sounds like just the kind of nanny state bullshit we'd have here... I have a mauser 98k that has an "F" on the safety that looks like it was electropencilled by Michael J Fox
Did /k/ see this?
Nope, there's no thread about it at the top of the catalog
Santa is real, and he CC's .45

I had to watch that several times before I noticed that the red colour on the robbers chest was actually due to a red thing he had in his hand.

I can see these being used as a decoy for a mission. Just dump a few canisters of these far off in the opposite direction and wait for the enemy to scramble to intercept, then the real strike planes come in while the defenders are distracted by a wild goose chase.
>>32597456
Not quite. Its about deploying hundreds of drones that deflect radar signatures of attack places yet work together to overwhelm enemy radar's.
Like a simpler version of the US air forces and Navy's MALD drones. theres literally nothing ground based radar can do to defend a sophisticated effort like that.
how fast do they fly? 50 mph?
