The truest measure of a camouflage pattern for general issue is how well it aids the service member in not being identified at distance, at night, while they're utilizing good concealment and movement techniques.

There are much more uses for camouflage outside the miltary and operating. Quit thinking specifically the use for military. I'm talking about camouflage as a whole. The act of blending in to the environment. It seems tan would be more effective than green.

It was a good middle ground round when it was created, but modern ammo has made the difference between 9/40 negligible. You have more recoil and less rounds. It's not inherently a bad round or a meme like on /k/, I just think it's going the way of the Jaegerbomb
