No it isn't.
My mother found this old rifle in the basement.
The writing identifies it as a "Gardone V.T" from beretta.
I can't seem to find much about it on the internet.
I'm currently in another country so I can't check it myself.
I guess this is a basement, attic ecc. ecc. find thread.
I'm interested, bump.
the writing here says "fucile rinforzato brevetto"
Reinforced rifle patent

Picture of full rifle?
Found this helmet and I don't know what it is. Halp.

Looks like some sort of danish helmet. Idk
Here is the front of it if it helps.
Are there any stab resistant materials that could be used to make knife resistant clothes?
I'd like to make a jacket and getting stabbed is a very reasonable fear, so id like to attempt to make a jacket that could resist knife attacks.
Are there any easily available materials that could be used to either line of fill a jacket and protect against slashes and maybe stabbing attacks?
>>32597025
I don't know of any material that is stab proof but Kevlar is slash proof. you'll probably have to use some hard material in there.
How would a tightly packed layer of kevlar fiber fill perform?
8th of an inch of steel plate covering your body l
Mr. Ocelot is correct, but that still don't stop the aesthetic. Post tactful engravings!

OP here. I had a question: How old does a gun need to be before you wouldn't consider getting it engraved. For example, let's say I wanted to get moderate, tasteful engravings on my Wanad. It was made in 88'. Is that "modern" or would you consider it historical enough to be left alone?
Also, if you became famous, would you get your guns distinctively engraved so that future generations could identify them. Like some Ashlands farmer in the distant future goes scavving through old ruins, and he comes across some old Vintorez that's well engraved and pretty distinctive looking. He takes it with him, even though the overlords would kill him for having it. Some bullshit happens, and the kid is now leading a revolution. Later, in one of the libraries he finds an old leather-bound journal from an Ashlands historian. In it is a drawing of that same Vintorez. The journal speaks of a figure who by now is regarded as a legend: Ivan of the Ashlands, who in one night slew 500 Ashwalkers with his mighty Vintorez, thus saving his village. His memory has faded to mythology and folklore, but this rifle and ancient manuscript prove he lived. With that knowledge, the engraved Vintorez becomes a symbol of the revolution, and it becomes the Rifle of Promised Victory.
Would you get your gun engraved and individualized for the sake of legend?

I'd engrave a new gun before an old one. If I had the cash, I'd get my new 1911 engraved.
/K/ I live in california and am thinking of buying a second property. What is best gun state?
America doesn't want you, stay in your shit hole.
>>32596986
don't bring your cancer elsewhere you stupid faggot
>>32596986
Doesnt matter where your second property is at.
You live in California, that is your home, where your drivers license is at. You can buy property anywhere but you wont be able to use that states laws to buy guns.
The bigger the caliber, the better. Try to show me something I've never seen!
Has anyone heard anything about the Warthog, or any of the Para double-stack 45s?

Happy Birthday, OP
Hey /k/
Im currently stationed near jericho and I need to find a handgun to conceal on me on meetings. I meet a bunch of palestinians, sometimes alone and I dont see how I can defend myself with my service m16. I just want something that I can pull quickly incase SHTF. Any suggestions?
Keep a guard dog with you. As soon as they start shit, you just say "git em" and your hound will be all over them while you're free to draw your own gun.
>>32596488
>stationed near jericho
Well there's your answer.
>>32596488
A Jericho?
Perfect 9mm carry pistols don't exi...
>>32596177
>>32596191
As a carry gun? Nah.
>>32596177
Replace those awful stock sights with TruGlo TFX Pro sights and then you'll have the perfect 9mm carry pistol.
Talk me out of buying a P320 over an FNS, or even a VP9
>>32596131
why? p320 is the best option out of all of those
neat modular gimmick. yet is really too expensive.
solid 9mm full size though.
>>32596131
It's a striker fired P226 for half the cost.
Just fucking buy it.
A bit ago I made a thread that went into depth on my idea for a auto aim in the real life and how i planned to market it to Baretta or Winchester.
Despite reciving mostly haters I got a few that believed in this small humble Estonian. Baretta and Winchester both replied to my email but they didn't want to do it because they said its an idea I should pursue my self. My friend is a petroleum engineer who will help me invent the technology. Since the gun companies aren't interest should I go to kickstarter?
Thankyou
>>32596023
Yes it is a good idea you should do it
I remember you OP, Im disappointed to hear that your unique idea wasn't well recieved by Beretta.
>>32596023
if you're talking about fire control, I'm pretty sure civilians cant have that. I could be wrong though
it's usually cheaper to just have a man point the gun though
How does /k/ feel about the old Vietnam era rucksacks? They are interesting seeing as they were the first nylon packs to be used by the military. Are they still as good today as they were back then? Are they worth owning today?
Also general old gear thread

bump, i just got a medium alice pack a few months ago for 25$
Alice packs are fine. I went through Basic, ait, and a few years at bragg/iraq with one.
the new packs are too fucking big. they only encourage dip shit commanders/SNCOs to overpack their soldiers.
