General riot control stratagies, how to get out of one, how to fortify home/ business in order to not die. This shit is a little too close to home for me.

>Blend in. Put up your hood or otherwise cover your face and move with the crowd while keeping your eyes open for an exit. The second you see an opening, you take it.
>Fortify. Arming yourself should be obvious. hole up in the innermost room you can get to and barricade yourself inside. if you can, construct multiple barricades. If possible, bring your fridge with you. you'll have your food supply as well as something heavy as fuck to put in front of the door.

This roster actually makes some sense...not sure why the entire franchise went completely apeshit with MW2.
Have any of you dealt with a home invasion? How do you react? I've had the fortune of never experiencing one; the only ones I've heard of in my extended family were a burglary in Chicago and a breakin in Memphis; the residents were away in the former and my retired cop/marine uncle, despite owning a gun, got the trespassers to flee using a wooden bat in the latter. Or rather, incapacitated them.
Do you give a warning? Or is it reasonable to assume that there's no need for warnings once you break into a home?
>>32726620
Yes. Here in North Carolina, it's pretty much a mix of Southern love and Northern love. Anyway, a guy started kicking my door, he didnt know I was home. My door is made of metal, so he had a hard time. I just shouted at him and told him to fuck off. Called the cops, never found him, mostly because I didnt even see the guy.
>>32726620
Ya i have, had a crackhead try to come in a window at my ex's place. I met him at the window, told him to get fucked. Pointed my ruger at him and he ran off. Still had the window screen stuck on his arm.

>Give a warning
Is this a /k/ humor thread? Fuck no, Castle Doctrine.

I carried a Taurus, and a Canik yesterday for the Trumpening. Did have a Kel-Tec in the car though.

God damn you're poor
>>32726091
Not really, just keep the cheap guns in the car. Nice ones stay on me all day. Had to work yesterday so couldn't carry all day.
What up with the fascination with Rhodesia and the bush war (along with other conflicts in the same period, etc).
>>32723291
Also I'll dump my small file of Rhodesian bush war stuff

Classic underdog story.
Fighting the good fight and winning against long odds, only to fail despite your martial prowess.
What's not to like?
FALs, technicals, and short shorts are just sprinkles on the sundae...
Why don't we use light tanks anymore? after all armor is useless if a rebel from miles away can blow up your heavy tank.
>>32721277
Why do
We just call them humvees or APCs
Meet the MPF Griffin.
>>32721322
That sits very high.
alright /k/, so the military of the USA/russia/outer heaven/otter haven has given you a near infinite amount of money and time to design a weapon that does not primarily deal bodily or structural damage through the transfer of energy such as a bullet, high amounts of heat, or the shockwave of an explosion, what do you design?
>example: a beam that interferes with the electronic signaling of the human brain, it still uses some sort of energy (since waves carry energy) but thats not the primary way it deals damage
remember, it needs to be an effective weapon to use on the frontline of the battlefield/ domestically so id imagine something like a gun that gave you AIDS would be pretty shitty since the war might be over before they even became a casualty.
Question: are we limited by international laws, eg. the Geneva and Hague Conventions?
gun that shoots s tiny pair of scissors that fly behind the target and snip the brain stem
>>32720282
hmm, id say thats up to you, but i guess in that case everyone would just do a bioweapon that melts skin or some shit
>just most importantly make it at least believable to be something that could be made in the next 100 years or so
>>32720288
fuck... thats so stupid it works
What wins?
As long as the K2 is shooting at the turret of the T-14, and assuming the penetration of the new 125mm is "real"
Then, who hits first
>>32719455
Considering the T-14 barely even qualifies as a finished tank, the K2 by virtue of actually being a fully functional system.
These contests are so gay.
Is there any reason why I shouldn't purchase this rifle?
>>32719405
'Cause I'm probably going to pick this one up with the optic.
>>32719405
If you want a reliable rifle, you shouldnt buy it
>>32719413
I was awaiting this kind of post, but why do you say that?

If one of the biggest problems with normal direct impingement systems is carrier tilt, why not just split the gas tube in two near the bolt, so that it pushes on both sides of the bolt equally?
But carrier tilt isn't a problem with direct impingement
>>32716844
Unless you're talking about the Stoner system, which isn't the same thing, then yes it is a problem.
>>32716961
I always thought direct-impingement was a bad way to describe the Stoner system.
Which one of you /k/illers was this? Spotted in tempe over by fallout games. Pepe and serbia strong stickers caught my eyes immediately
haha, wow, what a faggot
>>32715993
holy fuck that's cringey
it's like Chris-Chan's car if CWC was a /pol/ack
he had a sig sticker on the other side also.
What was the most influential rifle, historically speaking, and why was it pic related?
This is weak bait.
i think its the karabiner 98, it pretty much inspired most of the newer rifle designs or the STG 44. For obvious reasons
>>32715822
the 1886 Lebel. first rifle to utilize smokeless powder cartridges. first rifle to shoot spitzer bulets. first rifle to shoot boat tail bullets.
What's the deal with the ever increasing fad about SBR's?
I know they look cool, and that they're awesome, and that they offer more mobility and are easy to conceal. (Actually, personally, I think they are the Tyrion Lannister of funs, ugly and weird but great). But is it worth the entire hustle and the possibility of being harassed or raided by the ATF just so one could have a dwarf AR?
Don't call me a retard, this is a legit question. Even tho I'd love to have one, I can't see myself every buying or using one. Since it's shorter it will lose velocity and accuracy. Range will be compromised. Since a lot of people won't fit them with a stock, they are an unstable shooting platform. Even in closed spaces, police or military will still use their regular long rifle, or switch to a sidearm. And even if one expects to be in a situation their SBR in CQC, then why not switch to a shotgun for effectiveness (considering the loss in velocity on the SBR or AR-Pistol).
Thanks for the answers in advance.
>>32715692
Not OP but
>inb4 hurr it wont lose accuracy
Your sight radius is larger, therefore you lose accuracy
SBRs are for fun and absolutely nothing else.
Full size rifles are for doing work.

>>32715692
From what I've seen it's mostly mall ninjas that want to be Tier 1 speshul forcez or people that just want small truck guns. I kinda like them aesthetically, especially with those stocks in your pic OP. And I guess it is handy to be able to have a large capacity rifle caliber in a small platform like that, even if you do lose that velocity and range.
