Since Obama has deployed troops to Poland and the last country that did it ended up banning all the symbols of that regime, how would the current US Military hold up in a modern Siege of Stalingrad scenario?
I can only see this thread ending well.
>>32697776
>I can only see this thread ending well.
FPBP but really, you can say that about most /k/ threads.
A better question is what would have happened if he didn't?
Half the Russian military 'exercising' on Poland's borders. Accidentally wander across the border and occupy a town (it's our on OUR map). Town is found to have long lost Russians in it who were brutally oppressed under Polish democracy and are welcomed back to the fatherland.
Russian borders moved 5km.
Rince and repeat on every Russian border with Europe.
The Trump compromat meme is so easy to believe because Trump is playing into this with threatening to undermine NATO etc. It would really aid a second Russian imperialist, expansionist era.
>>32697941
Realtalk, the Senate is looking for an excuse to hang Trump.
If Trump interfered with Article V in any way, that would be more than enough.
How much of this surplus ammo is left? I have a Finnish M39 that I love to shoot, and it's so awesome to have cheap ammo for it, but I always worry about it drying up. I don't mind having to pay more if i have to, but I'd rather not. Will there be any more imported? I am unfamiliar with some of the bans that have happened over the years.
There literally is less than 40,000 rounds less in the whole world. You're a fool for buying that "cheap" VEPR.
>>32697701
>How much of this surplus ammo is left
worldwide? probably tons and tons. theres a pic of some hanger where crates of it are stacked to the ceiling. theres a chainlink fence and a guard in front of it. hopefully someone will post it.
in the US? dont know, but its really been drying up for the past year.
>will anymore be imported
someone asks about russian sanctions possibly being lifted literally everyday on k. the answer is: who knows. maybe.
>>32697760
So none of this shit, no matter where it's been stored, can be imported?
>Go to S&W product catalog
>viewing revolvers

what did they mean by this?

it's so you don't see how butt ugly the clinton holes are.
fuck the clintons
>>32697206
Why do they even keep those shitty things? Nobody on Earth likes them.
>want a S&W
>have to go through used shit for one without Hillary's hole
>fuck it I'll just get a Colt
>just kidding Colt discontinued that for no reason, $4000 please
>fine I'll just get a Mateba
>you do not "just" get a Mateba
>alright I'll just kill myself
Get in here crabnignogs.

I got mine last week :) gonna head to the AGC range soon and break it in.

Apparently MRC has the most safety infractions of all the clubs here
>>32697273
Also muzzleloader guys apparently get lots of infractions there too.
Anyone been to Tuscarora gun club?
It's 7 minutes from my house and open wednesday afternoon, perfect for my scehdule. Shotgun only though
OK /k/ I got a question. Some people say they are perfectly fine, others say it can even void your warranty using it.
Is it reliable though? Like Wolf ammo? It's really cheap and my thought was I wouldn't use it for the range, but I could easily afford 1000 rounds and it'd be my SHTF ammo because who cares about warranties if that's taking place.
If shits hitting the fans wouldn't you want ammo that wouldn't potentially damage your weopon? The only reason you care about a warranty is if your gun gets broken somehow right?
>>32696930
Its not very reliable.
>>32696930
>stockpiling steel
If you live anywhere with even a slight amount of humidity you're not keeping it long. Just don't shoot it on a hot or cold day. My TC of all things ripped the rim completely off some steel Tula.
22LR pistols why are they so expensive in the $500 range, and what is a good one that doesn't cost a arm an a leg?
Those "expensive" 22 pistols are for target shooting, and precision ain't cheap.
>>32696452
Because many are built with competitions in mind.
Because they are eternally useful for practicing, so are rarely sold.
Because there ARE cheap .22LR pistols.
Mine had a store price of less than $400 desu, and I explicitly paid $100 more than a cheaper but also shoddier firearm. And mine's fucking brand new. I don't know what you're doing.
>>32696509
care to share what it's called?
So which one shall it be /k? I'm only gonna keep one.
>>32696423
Stick with the glock.
Both me and my roomie got a PTR 91 each today before they even hit the shelves of my LGS. Talked the owner down to $1k a pop if we both got one right there. I was scared to blow nearly all my money, but then my credit card company just shrugged and doubled my limit.
How'd we do /k/?
Glock by far. XD guns are pretty shitty.
>>32697275
> being this fucking poor
What is /k/'s opinions on a stockpiling ammunition for the future? Does cheaper ammo hold up as well as expensive ammo? What about quantities, what is a reasonable amount to stockpile?
The general answer is going to be you can never have enough. All depends on your financial situation and how often you shoot, how much the hobby means to you, etc.
Personally I usually keep
1000 5.56
250 9mm
50 9mm HP
Obviously it goes down and up slightly at times, but generally thats my rule of thumb. If I had more money id get more ammo but that amount is a sustainable amount for me personally.
>>32696346
genrally, conditions in which the ammo is stored matters more than the type. have it in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight and itll last longer than you.
as far as "reasonable", everyone is different. money and space is also another factor.
but ill tell you this, if you go by past trends, ammo is a pretty good buy. it usually doesnt go down in price and is pretty easy to offload.
>>32696346
Personally, I'm nearing 20k rds of centerfire ammo. 16k of it is centerfire rifle. And ~10k of that is 7n6 545 which is banned from import or surplus 54r which is becoming very hard to get. Both have basically doubled or better in value now vs what I paid.
>What is /k/'s opinions on a stockpiling ammunition for the future?
Smart if you can afford it and buy while the prices are good. I like to have at least a few years long cushion against any political etc bs that comes up, even if I didn't ration at all. I don't stockpile really common stuff like 556/308/12ga as much since it's going nowhere except for very short stints.
>Does cheaper ammo hold up as well as expensive ammo?
Store it correctly and it should be fine.
>What about quantities, what is a reasonable amount to stockpile?
How much do you estimate you shoot each caliber in a year? How long do you want to be able to hold out till ammo is either on the shelf, or just cheaper again? That's a good place to start.
Why were there no new .45 GAP guns at the ShotShow this year? I was hoping for a carbine or something.
.45 GAP was dead on arrival.
>>32696312
>.45 Gay Ass Penetration
No, nobody wanted what is the equivalent of a .380 for 9mm. If you've got a big round like a .45., you're already going for power over capacity. .45 GAP doesn't give you anything in return for that loss.
>>32696326
This. For all the shit .40 S&W gets, at least it's guns will still have ammo made in 20 years. People who fell for the .45 GAP are going to be like the people who own .30-40 Krags and other guns where ammo availability is limited.
>In the entire nation of Australia there are only 15 gun stores.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
>>32696139
Thats still 1 per like 20 people tho
>>32696139
wat
there's at least 3 in adelaide that i know of
>>32696139
there's way more than that, even my rural town growing up had a sporting shop with shotguns and rifles.
What are your thoughts on concealed guns on your ankle? Do you do it?
>>32695970
I'd never do it on the reg. Talk about uncomfortable.
Now if im going into a situation where I have to be tactically tactical, like a gunfight, sure.
But I'd probably carry one between my scrawny ass butt cheeks too if we're talking about that.
If I'm wearing pants, I can probably get away with IWB carring a single stack polymer 9mm.
Running must be a bitch with that.
When I was an edgy teenager I used to carry a knife in my boot at school all the time. I never stabbed anyone with it but I also never felt like a badass fucking with getting my pant cuff up and kind of hopping on one foot to get it up to arms reach. I got in two fights with it in my boot and never even remembered I had it there until afterwords.
Realistically drawing from an ankle holster puts you in a vulnerable position and you wouldn't have time or room to do so in a self defense scenario. In a situation like a mugging, getting jumped, confronted by an armed intruder, you really don't want to be crouching and you will be clearly going for a gun on your ankle long before you actually have a gun in your hand.
The only situation where I would think its not a bad idea is if you are in a high risk setting like a jewelry store where you will be seated for 90% of your time carrying.
Be merciful, /k/, I feel retarded.
>Recently received pic related for free (long story)
>Figured it was worth a try to experiment with appeals fix carry and if I like the concept in general
(This thing installs by replacing the stock backplate on the slide)
>Removing stock plate when I hear something shoot off to god knows where
>Fuck.
>Manage to find small spring with little black plastic tip
>Replace spring, black tip facing up, in the hole it came from
>reassemble gun with new backplate.
Well, ever since I did that, I can't disassemble my Glock. I functions-checked it and everything checks out, and I'm not getting the dead trigger issue I see in a lot of forums. I just can't get the damn slide off like I normally used to be able to.
Did I lose something? Break it? Help.
>using that stupid dangerous shit
At least carry condition 3 if you do. Fuck that's stupid.
get a proper holster you idiot
>mexican carry a glawk
just shoot your dick off now and save yourself the trouble
I leave for marine bootcamp in the next week. I live in a small town in Tennessee. My MEPS is in beckley West Virginia. I'm just wondering what the timeline is from that morning at MEPS, to getting to receiving is. And also if I'm the only one at that MEPS leaving for bootcamp, will I be the only one at receiving that night?
Shoulda posted in MEG but ill generalize it as i remember it..
>Arrive at MEPS
>Wake up some stupid time
>Eat breakfast
>Begin MEPS process
>Fingerprints
>Medical paperwork
>Medical examination
>Meet with some Marines
>Swear In
Who knows the order anymore, and im sure there is more, Its kinda like the DMV. At some point after all that youll be driven to the airport, where youll fly into the closest airport, they will tell you to go to the USO I believe, where youll wait until like zero dark thirty with a ton of other soon to be recruits. Guys will show up and get you on the bus, at which point youll be driven to base, theyll tell you to put your heads down when your a few miles out, and before you know youll be getting off that bus.
At MEPS youll be processed with all other branches, and most likely some other people going Marines aswell. At the airport youll find like 50 other soon to be recruits it wont just be you.
I doubt youll be the only soon-to-be Marine at MEPS in WV.
>>32697015
But the thing is from other guys who just came back from bootcamp, they never mentioned a plane ride or airports. They said that they rode a van down there. one guy said he got there and was the only recruit at receiving because no one else was in the van. Maybe he was bullshitting me
>>32697459
Uhh, I would bet that was a rare case. I mean they usually do it in large groups so everyone can get their shit all at once. They can't do individual receiving for thousands of people.
Maybe they just needed one person and contacted your recruiter to send one down, and they expideted the process, but I've never heard of anything like that myself
Let's keep it going.
>gun gets stolen
>nigger who stole it is bragging about it and playing with it live on fb
How can I use this as evidence when he's not showing the SN?
>>32695583
If he's admitted to stealing it that's probably more than enough for a warrant.
>>32695583
Show me the pics.
>take recording of him saying gun is stolen
>report your stolen gun to police, include sn
>call local crimestoppers, tell them nigger stole gun
>cops go to his house, arrest and take gun
>run sn
>they return gun
>cs gives you 100 bux
