I don't know much about fighter jets, but is there any reason why the F-22 (which I understand is a pretty damn good aircraft) was shelved and so much money was put into the F-35?
Feel free to discuss/talk shit about other jets ITT, too.
The F-22 was expensive to maintain on account of the RAM.
Also, fighter-bombers generally kick ass, and the Navy and Marines also wanted F-35s.

We can't sell the F22 to other counties. We can the F35.

Since people ask about this thing evey 3 fucking minutes I bet you could get your whole $500 back.
So what does /k/ think about the Army's new sidearm? I would have preferred the Glock 17 since it's a combat-proven platform, but the modularity of the Sig P320 is appealing.
Do you think Glock has any chance of appealing the decision?
>>32729284
thing about modular is it can fit with many different body/hand types. ambi controls, grip modules, safety(required in .mil) - Glock has 0.zero chance.
>>32729297
I doubt the Army will purchase compact frames, so not sure how modularity is important outside of easy parts replacement.
Is the P320 even available with a safety? I've never seen one.
Wonder how the ergonomics are compared to the M9
How powerful would a AC-5 Gunship be?what kind of armaments would it have?

I'm hard
>>32728905
It would be armed with four THEL turrets.
Three on the bottom, one on the top of the tail.
The three Tactical High Energy Lasers on the bottom would be retractable for landing / cruise.
The top tail mounted one is to shoot at enemy fighters / incomming AAMs.
It shall be called:

why?
Did the rampant drug usage majorly effect the performance of US troops in Vietnam?
>>32728031
I would imagine if LSD was widespread it pretty drastically effected troop performance.
Weed? Probably not too much, was probably just hippy degenerates being lazy
>>32728031
Not really. Most did it during some form of downtime. Not that that was always the case, but doing it during a firefight and putting guys at risk would get you fragged. Only suicidal assholes would do it anyway.
There's always cycles when shit is going to be slow. Once you've done it you know when it's appropriate.

Why do so many recklessly carry with a round in the chamber, /k/? I think it's because they are too lazy to train properly. Soviets who carried sidearms could proficiently rack the slide on their Tokarevs as they pulled the gun from its holster, and they saw plenty of action in which they did this. Lazy people would rather ignore the risk to life and limb that they expose themselves and everyone around them too when they carry +1. That's why you hear people unironically say stuff like "There's 2 kinds of gun owners, those who have had negligent discharges and those who lie." There's really no excuse for it.
I've got a safety with a pin block. See if I give a fuck. Appendix carry no less.

Do you also carry in a cross-draw holster on your tunic belt?
