Hello /k/,
I made a thread a week or so ago, but got no traction. I recently moved to the US and am a permanent legal resident, and I want my first centrefire rifle. I have a hard-on for old west guns, and saw there is a Pedersoli Rolling Block in .357 Magnum for $500. It'll be used as a plinker and maybe eventually hunting.
How are these rifles? Should I not bother? I'm getting an AR-15 in a couple months and possibly a bolt action rifle later... but I really want a rolling block, falling block, or lever-action.
>>32700990
They're not bad. If it were me I'd get rolling block in .45-70 cause fuck yeah and a lever gat in .357
>>32701012
I plan to get a .45-70 eventually, but I'd rather not start off with such a large round in case I develop a flinch. Plus I'm planning to buy a Ruper GP100 and SAA clone soon which both are also chambered in .357, as well as a reloading press.
Keep in mind I already have an Uberti Silverboy and am in the mood for a different style of firearm as well.
What is the best gun what for if a dindu wants my hard earned cab fares when I pick him up
not being a racist asshole. just give him your money and stop flaunting your priviliege
Just a shit hipoint or whatever. If someones going to rob you in a cab they're going to be behind you and good luck turning around and magdumping him first.
not going to have to carry it outside the cab? Get a revolver in .500 s&w or .600 nitro if you can afford it
I want to modify two blue label glocks for my buddy and I as wedding gifts and because I like practical gift giving. Please help me design an autistically simple and good carry gun.
Will list specs below
>>32700821
First should I go Gen 3 and find matching serial glocks made in the golden age of non btf issues or just blue label Gen 4 a and dremel fuck them?
Also should I use a 357 sig full size base g31 and grip chop and get 9mm match threaded conversion and 40 cal for ultimate survivalist shit. Then grip chop for cc and more mags and better pointing gun.
>>32700821
So what sights and what wml to use for real solid shit? Apl or x300u? Needs to have aiwb with light mounted holster. I'm thinking trij HD orange front for belt racking.
>>32700821
I know you'd all just say p10c or 320cx blah blah but I've always just shot glocks along with my boy since we skated together in the muhreens
What is the least amount of rounds a carry pistol should hold?
5 with a spare
>>32700820
This, but id just say 6 because i still love my revolvers.
That and my mom's one active shooting took exactly 6 shots.
>>32700839
Lcr is 5 rounds and I'd carry it so I said 5.
Is there a ranged weapon I could use for a game that would be weaker than a 9mm pistol?
Nerf.
>>32700500

Its been bound to happen.
Integrated electronics are the only way conventional firearms can evolve.
Expect auto jam clearing, self chargeing rifles soon, with Maintance alerts like your car.

StatTrak IRL finally?
>>32700505
I can't wait for all of those things.
So with the HPA in the works, where would piston ammo stand? Would be rather esoteric but playing tunnel rat sounds fun.
Under the ATF each cartridge that was integrally silenced counted as a silencer. So I guess they should...?
So if you had a 30 round clip of them each one needed a $200 stamp....
$6000 per magazine.
Honestly though, nobody NEEDS that ammo.
>>32700525
Like I said, true but /aesthetics/
>>32700462
If the HPA passes would each cartridge count as a firearm?
Saigamarine (Julio Suarez) testified at the /k/ trial in MN.
http://kstp.com/news/scarsella-jamar-clark-protesters-minneapolis-video-suarez-fourth-precinct-shooting-five/4374934/
During the first day of testimony Wednesday, the state called Julio Suarez. Prosecutors say he's seen in the video with Allen Scarsella inside his car with masks on their faces, camouflage and flashing a gun. The prosecution asked Suarez about meeting Scarsella.
The meat of their questions was about a livestream video. The video appears to show both men walking around protesters at the fourth precinct. The jury watched the video as prosecutors questioned Suarez about certain things said or done in the video including using racial statements saying things like "master race" and "final solutions."
The defense cross-examined Suarez about his military background, whose idea was it to head down to the protest, and they reviewed the same video the state went through.

Julio Suarez, 33, testified that in the months before the shooting, he and Scarsella hung out together to shoot guns, talk about guns and watch TV.
On the night of the shooting, Suarez says Scarsella and three other men stopped by his Minneapolis residence to ask him if he wanted to come with them to the protest. Suarez said he told them no.
Suarez said the men returned about an hour later looking shaken. He said Scarsella told him he saw another man reach for a weapon but he "beat him on the draw" and fired all the bullets in the magazine of his gun.
Four days before the shooting, Suarez and Scarsella went on what Suarez, who says he was a member of the Marine Corps between 2002 and 2006, called a "recon mission," which Suarez livestreamed to the 4Chan website. The two men appear in two videos played before jurors.

In the first, Suarez curses the protesters outside the 4th Precinct and calls them "dindus." When asked what "dindu" meant, Suarez said it is a term used on the 4Chan message board to describe black people who commit crimes and then say they "didn't do" them.
In the Nov. 19 video, Suarez holds a handgun in front of the camera and says "we're locked and loaded." However, he said he didn't know if Scarsella was carrying a gun at the time. At the end of the video, Suarez says, "stay white." Suarez said he said it to be funny and ironic, "considering I'm a person of color." He later added, referring to livestreaming the video, "In hindsight, it was very stupid." Suarez said he was looking for a little "internet fame."
Suarez also testified that he didn't agree with how the protesters were going about it.
The final witness was Nicholas Georgiades, who is part of the media collective called Unicorn Riot. He live streamed an interview with Scarsella and Suarez at the protest on the night of the 19th. They appeared to be sympathetic to the protesters, but they were apparently joking around.
At one point Scarsella referred to people of color as the "melanin-enriched community."

Julio Suarez said he was just trying to get a laugh out of fellow users of an internet message board when he flashed a handgun during a live-streamed slur-filled tirade with Allen Scarsella by his side as they headed toward the November 2015 Jamar Clark protests.
Four days later, Scarsella returned to the north Minneapolis encampment, where he shot and wounded five protesters. Immediately afterward, he showed up at Suarez's door, still gripping his gun.
"[Scarsella] said, 'I saw some guy reaching' and he beat him on the draw," Suarez testified Wednesday. "He said 'I dumped the mag,'" referring to the gun's magazine.

Scarsella, 24, went on trial Wednesday for felony riot and first-degree assault charges with Suarez as the prosecution's first witness. Suarez appeared in racially tinged videos antagonizing protesters, but wasn't present during the Nov. 23 shootings at the Fourth Police precinct in north Minneapolis.
Prosecutors say Suarez's videos and Scarsella's racist beliefs ultimately led to the shooting. His defense attorney argued that Scarsella is on trial for his actions, not his opinions, and that he fired in self-defense after the protesters attacked his group as they stood alongside a fence. Suarez was arrested, but never charged.
Suarez, 33, said he first met Scarsella in 2015 on a weapons message board on the website 4Chan. Suarez went by the online name "SaigaMarine," a reference to serving four years in the Marine Corps during the Iraq war. Scarsella went by "BlackPowderRanger," a nod to his antique guns. He and Scarsella went to a camp-out with other 4Chan members, where they shared their passion for firearms. They hung out a couple other times and stayed connected on the message board.
Fast-forward to Nov. 15, when an unarmed Jamar Clark was shot and killed by Minneapolis police, enraging activists and prompting protesters to camp out at the department's Fourth Precinct on the city's North Side.
Suarez saw an opportunity to achieve what he called "internet fame," he testified Wednesday. "I'm just trying to get some laughs out of the internet," he said.
He recruited Scarsella to come with him to the encampment Nov. 19. While driving there, Suarez filmed a video of the two that was played for the jury.
"We are locked and loaded," a masked Suarez says on the video, holding up a black pistol. As he flashes the gun, he says their mission is "a little reverse cultural enriching." "We're going to make the fire rise," he said.
"We're gonna see if we can have ourselves a little look-see," adds Scarsella, also masked.

Suarez told fellow 4Chan contributors to "stay white" as he signed off.
Many of those lines were just part of the jokes for the other 4Chan users, Suarez testified. "Make the fire rise" is a reference to the Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises" and the villain Bain, which is a popular meme on the message board. To Suarez, "making the fire rise" was about watching the civil unrest at the police station, not causing it, he testified.
>Bain
"Stay white," was another joke, Suarez said, "especially ironic because I'm a person of color."
"I thought I was being funny," he told defense attorney Peter Martin.
The lines continued as Suarez and Scarsella live-streamed themselves in another video played for the jury. It showed the two walking around the encampment dressed in camouflage coats and faces covered while occasionally making comments to each other.
At one point, Scarsella says he has "a Jew Phone 6."
"Android Master Race. Android Master Race," Suarez replies, "I really shouldn't be yelling about master race out here. At the end of the day, if I get in trouble, if I get in trouble for master race, there's only one final solution."
He testified that's another 4Chan joke pitting iPhones vs. Android phones. When Assistant Hennepin County Attorney Judith Hawley asked about the "final solution," Suarez replied he was "making a dark joke."
Those videos went viral and would later be shared among protesters. When Scarsella wanted to go back to the protest, Suarez said no.
"I realized I made a mistake," he said. "I didn't want to inflame, make things worse."
When they arrived at Suarez's home, he said he immediately knew something was wrong. They all looked like they were in shock, Suarez said. Gustavsson was bleeding and missing a tooth. Scarsella, who Suarez said had no injuries, gripped his gun.

What's their endgame?
Anyone know where I can get an Arisaka 300? I can't find them anywhere.
>>32699820
Internet im guessing
>>32699820
how are they compared to surefire
>>32699820
Seems like they're sold out. If you want, you can always build your own weaponlight.
Or get one of the Streamlight Protac rail lights. I have the Arisaka M300 on my HD rifle but in hindsight, I would have gotten the Streamlight or at least the Arisaka M600.
Is this show /k/ approve?

no, and i will start with a few example on why.

does the show really do math on the screen like that what is this supposed to be a humor thread
>Alright sir, your background check has been denied. The reason is that your ISP has reported high traffic on 4chan from your IP address. Sorry, bud.

I appeal the decision.
I want to carry this
>>32699790
Do it
Like a lot of .380s, it's blowback with a super light frame so it'll snap and not be very fun to shoot. That being said, I had one and it worked fine.
For that money, I'd probably prefer a 9mm shield.
