are ghillie snipers obsolete?
i think yes because drones can get the same kind of job done faster, cheaper and with higher efficiency, the only downside being the fact that shit blows up and there aint supressors for that.
can you imagine at least one scenario a ghillie suit sniper would be useful to get a particular job done, a job that nothing else could get done?

filling your tight teenaged anus
You need boots on ground. No matter the technology that comes with awesome jets, drones, tanks, etc. You must have a strong infantry in any battle. Most times you just need a man with a rifle to get shit done.

General firearm law thread I suppose.
I just got word that the dealer in question shipped my brand new poorfag-battle-rifle to my PREVIOUS residential address instead of to my FFL. Shit was signed for on delivery and has now vanished without a trace.
Wat do? Who stands to be reamed by the long hard dick of the law?
>>33164394
>Who stands to be reamed by the long hard dick of the law?
Everyone involved, even your parents. This is the federal government we're speaking about.
>>33164394
Well the dealer fucked up. It's on him as long as you gave him correct and up to date info.

CONCEALED CARRY ADVICE
Please /k/, do me a solid and enlighten me.
I have a diamond hard-on for the aesthetic of the Walther PPK, so naturally the question is: how viable is it for concealed carry purposes?
I have been considering concealed carry for quite a while now. I have a decent amount of handgun experience, and lots of long gun experience. This would however be my first handgun purchase. As a weapon to train with for the aforementioned purpose, is this gun suitable? I know the great debate rages, but thoughts on .380 ACP?
Thank you in advance.
>>33164371
Steer me right, boys.
At first inspection this weapon appears to be a pretty solid choice, but I'm not an expert.
>>33164371
>thoughts on .380
It's generally considered to be inferior to 9x19mm and it's surprisingly expensive to shoot. But, it'll put holes in stuff. I'll give you a bump because I'm also a hardcore James Bond fan (I'm assuming you are) and would love to hear from anyone who owns one.
Why didnt they make a 9mm version?

What is the most effective weapon for home defense? I am looking at a 18" shotgun
SBR AR15 with suppressor, not a shotgun.
Next question?
>>33164021
this.
/thread
the one in your hands.
>inb4 "lol hurr durr no shit"
yes, no shit. legit most any modern day handgun, pump-action or semi auto shotgun, or semi auto carbine will do.
if that anwser is still too complicated for you.
>glock 19
>mossberg 500
>16inch AR15
there, 3 easy to get, very common guns that will shoot a bad guy dead.
Show Me Targets You Shot Up! Post the range and gun you used to shoot it with! I shot it with a Glock 17 9mm at 5 yards are so.
wow, that's pretty bad
>>33163616
5 yards? you may want to practice a lot more five yards is super close

No it doesn't.
Is there a bigger cancer in firearms design?
It used to be that designers actually put thought into how a gun would be used and gave it integrated features so that it accomplish the envisaged role for it. Now, they just make a generic gun and then leave specializing it up the end user and a million accessories manufactures, most of whom put out extremely low quality products.
Today guns can do just about anything, but are mediocre are at.

Slow, undergunned and outdated even as early during Battle of Britain.
Hi, /k/
I'm writing an researched backed essay for my English class on firearms. I'm basically saying that the fear of gun-violence is hysterical and overblown. I'm going to try and present this while not being emotional myself. Rather I'm going to use several government statistics, and also examine from a philosophical aspect as to why we can be so fearful of them.
I'm mainly going to cite the US population vs. the average annual gun deaths since 2011 (perhaps a more broad time-frame if I can find research for it) and mention how statistically insignificant they are. I'm also planning on breaking down what caused those deaths, even if they do end of being skewed towards more violent reasons, I want to be fair.
Do you think there could be other compelling reason to support the 2nd amendment while also trying to be as objective as possible?

https://www.aei.org/publication/chart-of-the-day-more-guns-less-gun-violence-between-1993-and-2013/
"God made man, but Samuel Colt made man equal." This famous quote embodies the true importance of firearms as the great equalizer. When both are armed with handguns a 110 pound woman and her 220 pound would be rapist are on equal footing in terms of combat capability. The woman can defend herself effectively despite having no martial arts training or physical strength to speak of. By removing firearms from the equation you are left with the rule of the physically strong. In addition, the possibility of a mark being armed with a handgun is a serious deterrant to any prospective criminal. Certain sexist politicians such as Diane Feinstein, a democratic representative from California, have argued that women cannot use firearms to defend themselves effectively but this has been proven incorrect by the recent success of women in our armed forces. Places with strict firearms bans such as the United Kingdom are plauged by knife murders so much so that "knife control" has come to replace "gun control" with programs like "Get a life, bin that knife!" pleading with urban youths to disarm. Violence will never be gone from this world. Guns, knives, baseball bats, crude wooden clubs fashioned from a stick, a particularly point umbrella, or even bare hands are weapons of murder if the user sees fit to use them as such. The difference with guns is that we can use them to protect ourselves regardless of physical disposition or melee combat training. Gun control isn't the key to making a peaceful contemporary society, instead it puts us back into the dark ages.

Thanks, this is really interesting

Thanks these are interesting points. I'm trying to avoid being super political, or getting to specigic topics like rape, but these are interesting points, i'll look into them more.
What are the justifications for owning an Assault Rifle? Debating with friend who thinks they should be banned
feral hog hunting.
which is environmental. Since the hogs are invasive and destroy natural wildlife.
Arms for eventual race war. It's coming sooner or later
Justifications are for serfs. You live in America.
You just won a free hunting trip to Africa, you can only take two guns. One for plains game, another for dangerous game. What models do you pick and in what calibers?
The largest cal I've shot is fuddy aught six, so I don't have any experience with big bores. I know for my plains gun I'd use pic related, .375 H&H
>>33163264
Sako safari in .416 rigby
Plains game: Whatever. Something accurate and powerful enough.
Dangerous game: M82
.458socom AR15 for dangerous game
.338 laupa magnum AR for plains
WWII guns you want.

maybe you should worry about YOUR gun, not some video. Panic when You start having issues.
>>33162966
but what if SHTF and i have to go live in the woods and my gun gets all muddy and someone tries to rob me? then it will be too late to worry about it

Judging by the confidence in yourself that you exhibited in your first post, living in shtf environment is never going to be an option for you
