Is there something wrong with the maxim 9? Every video I've seen of it people shoot 5 or less rounds through it. I was really pissed about the fullmag video today. Fucking shot it once in the loudest windiest place he could have found and then talked about himself and a stuffed animal for the rest of the video.

Not all that rare but they are nice shooters. I've yet to experience the rumored 'wandering zero' with my 1945 Fazakerley.
I have lost a fuckton of weight and summer is around the corner and I need a smaller, slimmer CCW. I currently carry a USPc and I feel like it will be too big to CCW. The Glock 43 seems the obvious choice, I have held and shot them and they are great little guns. However I just cant help but feel something else would be better. I have been looking into the Sig P239, however it seems like it is basically the same size as a P225 which I already have (actually a P6). Would the P239 be a good choice? Or should I just go with the smart, obvious choice and go with a Glock 43?

I don't know shit about them, whether leather is better than fabric or whatever. I'm going to be carrying a Glock 19 in a NSR Tactical C-1 appendix holster. I'd like something comfortable but I really want something that's going to be reliable more than anything. Any recommendations?

Ares Ranger is the shit, I've had mine for almost 3 years and it's just as rigid as it was when I got it. I've only ever carried full size or compact guns on it.
The best thing about having a good belt is that you don't have to cinch it tight for it to support whatever you attach to it.

Osama Bin Whoever has [place extremely attractive chick's name here] with a gun to her head in the middle of shitholes Islamaland #4567890 in some shitty building. She's minutes from being executed. Seconds away is a fighter aircraft with a missile. That missile is carrying a shit ton of drones. Tiny drones with cameras on them. That missile fires at the shitty building. Those missile detonates flinging drones at a few hundred miles per hours. Those drones are super maneuverable, flitting through this shitty building and continuously looking for this hot chick's face. Everyone who isn't this hot chick is met with an exploding drone flying a few hundred miles per hour. In a few fractions of a second, this chick is the only person alive in this building surrounded by tons of headless Hajis. Think about it. I think it could be done. This weapons platform could be called The Fuckhive.
I thought of this after watching that stupid Navy vid of the quadrocopter drones being dumped from an F/A-18 Hornet.

Hello,
Two days ago, I lost a duck to turtles (yes, TURTLES!!) in my pond. Last night, I found a 6 foot snake in the hen house, which I dispatched with an axe (although not before it struck at me twice).
So, I'm finally ready to buy a varmint gun like my wife has been begging me for the past 5 years.
I'm an ex-Marine weapons platoon sgt who fired high expert with his M-14 or M-16 at the rifle range four years straight, so I know about guns and how to handle them. However, I've never owned a weapon as a civilian so know little about civilian weaponry, and I doubt they will let me rustle up and M-14.
So here I am for advice. What's a good all-purpose rifle for varmints? I need one for snakes, coons, possums, and turtles, maybe a coyote. We have bobcats around here but they don't tend to come up close enough to the house to worry about.
I don't need one for home protection, since that is not something I tend to worry about. Just a good, all 'round varmint killer.
Types of guns would be good (22, shotgun, etc), but brands would be nice to know about as well. I figure some may be more reliable or accurate than others.
So, what's your choice of weapons when it comes to killing critters?

I know /k/ loves their moist nuggets, but apparently looking elsewhere, a lot of people really like the Gewehr 98 much more than the Mosin.
I'm grabbing a bolt action rifle too, and I'd rather not grab something new like the R700, and I want something for the history. I'd believe both rifles are equal in their history, because they both fought each other in two wars and were developed at around the same time.

The mosin is a fucking garbage rod and I love it for what it is. The bolt takes far more effort than a mauser's does to work desu, but it's nice. It clicks and pops in ways that just about make me cum.
The bolt of a mosin also has like 6 parts too, so there's that. I learned how to disassemble it and reassemble it in the better part of 30 minutes.

I think the Mauser 98 action of the Gew.98 is better, but the sight picture on the M91/30 is much better than that of the Lange-Vizier of the Gew.98. Swedish m/96 sight picture is way better than that of the Gew.98.

I'm soon to be a new gun owner, I'm very liberal though.
I need a range to shoot in but I don't wanna be exposed to a whole political ecosystem when I shoot, I'd rather shoot without hearing politics mentioned at all.
