What scope should I buy for my ruger gp100 6"?
It's got a weig-a-tinny rail on it with a burris fastfire 2 right now, but I want magnification.
I'd prefer at least 3x but if the eyebox is too fickle or FOV is too small I could do 2 I guess.
I really want a forgiving eyebox that's easy to grab, which I suppose is at odds with magnification but I'd like to have it as close to both ways as possible.
I can do $500, but actual durability and ease of use are more important to me than having the most whiz-bang, hurr-durr, muh german glass, feature packed etc. scope that money can waste.
What do /k/
Samefag selfbumping to ask a related question:
Is it always a bad idea to buy used glass? I'm always afraid I'll get something that's broken internally with no way to check it before I buy.
only replying cuz that's an FNAR, and I love it.
I don't know much about glass. Check out Tiborasaurus Rex's recomendations. He was either a SEAL, or 1st SFOD-D.

Well I wasted about 20k worth of liquid assets that I inherited when I was a dumb ass 21 year old, all on pistols and rifles.
I would buy them (plus tons of ammo) at the local gun store and Cabela's, then when I would got bored of them I would sell them to Cabela's. Bought news ones and repeated the process.
Obviously they're not going to pay back the entire amount, only about 50% more or less, and that's where most of the money I inherited went. Completely down the drain. Now I only own two Glocks and a one USP.
You want to know the fucked up part about all of this? The money that my grandmother left behind for me was specifically instructed by a letter she wrote to me before her death to be used only for my college education, which I still haven't finished 9 years later.

I completely agree.
It's still eating me up to this day.
Realistically, how much more advanced is the US military than the civilian world? 5 years? 20?
literally zero

Same reason white children think their dad has the biggest cock in the world.
They've never known a REAL black gun/cock.
>>33171746
They're both good.
OP is a fag.
Denial of reality to justify thier choice, similar to the fox's sour grapes. They can't afford a USP so they genuinely believe their Glock is "good enough" as a coping mechanism. With everyone saying Glocks are "reliable" meaning that any mook who can pull a trigger can use one due to the lack of manual safety, it's easy to see how they could instead choose to take that as a consensus the Glocks are mechanically reliable like the USP in order to help maintain their delusions.
Alright /k/, let's see your .22's! Do you have a favorite?
I fell in love with the Colt Woodsman when I was 8 years old, in fact it was the first pistol I ever shot. It's held up against the test of time, and I still shoot it regularly.
It's coming along.

That a model 190?
>>33170347
Sure is, was my first rifle.
Let's say all firearms regulation was gotten rid of right now? What guns would /k/ get?
I'd probably go for an mp5, g43, m1919, and a vz61

http://www.popsci.com/china-new-weapons-lasers-drones-tanks
>The Silent Hunter laser is powerful enough to cut through light vehicle armor at up to a kilometer away, making you wonder if China already has more powerful laser weapons only for domestic use.
>Let's start with lasers. Poly Technologies showed off The Silent Hunter, one of the world's most powerful laser weapons. It claims an output of at least 50-70 kilowatts, which would make it more powerful than the 33-kilowatt laser weapon systems (LaWS) currently deployed on the USS Ponce. The laser is probably based on a smaller anti-drone laser, the Low Altitude Guard. That's enough to knock out automobiles by burning out their engines from over a mile away, as the 30-kilowatt Lockheed Martin ATHENA laser demonstrated in 2015.
>The Silent Hunter uses fibre optic lasers (fibre optics doped with rare earth minerals), which provide weight savings over chemical lasers through increasing optical gain by kilometers of coiled fibre optics (as opposed to bulky chemical lasers). The Silent Hunter is likely to be scaled up and equipped with radars to complement its optical/infrared tracking system, making it a capable close range defense system against enemy missiles, artillery, drones and aircraft.
>
Whereas LASS is designed to defend against large numbers of slow unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Silent Hunter's laser is credited with being able to penetrate five layers of 2 mm steel at 800 m, or 5 mm of steel at 1,000 m.

Was gonna ask, what happened to /brg/? Was away for a week and haven't seen one since I got back few days ago. Did veryone get tired of comparing the same 3 rifles? I liked lurking those threads.
>>33141592

It's basically at the point where every possible /brg/ post has already been made, and there's no real reason to use .308 over .223 anyways.

This anime is such garbage. Great idea with horrible execution.
I'm eye/hand cross dominate.
on a scale of 1-10 how important is it that I learn to shoot with my non-dominate hand?
Is there a website to help find a gun I want to identify by answering a series of questions, much like the type face finder website?
