Not even trying to meme on about SEALs using Sigs but the P226 is one of the most proven platforms along with the Glock 17/19 and the M9. Sigs have excellent track records in LE along with military.

if you are worried about dependability issues get a wheel gun. even a cheap 38 (sub 300) will be reliable.

and i've come to the conclusion if SHTF and i can only grab one rifle it's my marlin lever action 30-30. you don't need tacticool weapons for a SHTF scenario.

For the sake of the argument, I'm gonna say that wheelguns are like swiss watches - they run with precision and general reliability, but if something goes wrong with em (eg cylinder timing) they're usually out of commission until receiving some serious work.

Semis may not have 'double-strike' capability or an internal 'magazine' (technically just multiple chambers on a revolver; no concern about mags falling out/failing to seat) but are stupid easy to maintain and generally less susceptible to the elements
