6 rounds of power stopping falcon punches good lads, I will want this for concealed carry so what is a good 44 to do it with atleast a 6 inch barrel minimum. bigger the barrel the bigger my dick.

>ww-why not get a glock

because I don't need 15 rounds to stop someone if they try to kill me just one big fucking round out of my 44
also why the fuck are 44. magnums so expensive?

>>
>>33150627
But .44 isn't really more lethal than 9mm
>>
chances are you'll incapacitate someone in 2.5 shots with a 9mm, and 1.5 shots with a 44 magnum (roughly). in a full size pistol, that's 5-6 rounds vs 15-18. the 9mm has far less recoil, making it shoot faster, and a way better trigger, making it shoot faster.

>.44 Magnum w. 6'' barrel for CC

Have you ever actually spent an afternoon with a 6'' .44 Magnum before? If you have, you should understand why picking one as a CC option is a bad idea unless you are the size of Kareem Abdul Jabar.

>also why the fuck are 44. magnums so expensive?

They aren't expensive for what they do, which is to hold up to the use of .44 Magnum ammunition. A gun that can withstand the use of full power .44 Magnum is likely built to some of the highest standards of durability and strength when it comes to handguns.

>and a way better trigger

I was with you up until this point. Have you ever fired a Smith and Wesson Model 29? They have far better triggers than any automatic that isn't a good 1911.

i figured the same laws applied for 80% ARs where as long as it's compliant (min length for ARs, gen 3 for glocks in my mind) and as long as it's built for personal use and not for sale then it's fine. i was wrong.

Will infantry still be relevant in 20 years ? Not saying this aggressively i'm just wonder by seeing all the weaponry available and in development that fuck up an entire squad.

Hardly. Things dont become irrelevant just because they can be defeated, or else everything would be irrelevant.

Why has the grip safety fallen out of favor? It used to be on a lot of guns, now it seems like it's a special order thing if at all.

One would think that it would fit right in with the modern interest in non-manual safeties like the "safe action trigger."

Or does OP have it all wrong and grip safeties are still popular (outside of 1911s)?

>>33149784
Much like trigger safeties a grip safety does jack shit to prevent an ND, an AD's are fairly rare enough for it to not be a problem.
>>
>>33150659
Can't this argument be made about trigger safeties?

If it replaces a manual safety is it not "one more thing"?

Anyone else here have problems getting in touch with these people? I ordered a pistol lower from them on the 18th, I got a email the next day saying they needed an updated copy of the FFL license from my lgs. They sent the updated copy and here we are, 10 days later and I haven't heard anything from them. Emailed them 3 times and called about 5 and nothing. What can I do at this point? This shit is ridiculous.

I'm trying to buy some dies for .30-06, I want to keep it inexpensive because it's for an M1917 not a fucking bench rest rifle. To that end I'm going to try a Lee collet neck sizer, which I have read some good things about, and either an RCBS seating die or a Lee seater.

Question is is it worth the money to get the RCBS seating die or is the Lee seating die as good, quality of construction aside, for the purposes of producing consistent ammo withing a reasonable expectation (these aren't high end micrometer comp dies)? If the Lee seating die was fine I could just buy one of their sets and be done with it, but I've had some bad experience with Lee in the past although not with their dies.

Question: I just bought a press and would like to start loading 8mm Lebel. While looking for die sets, I saw some that had 3 and some with 2. Which should I get and what is the 3rd die?
>>
>>33149376
A lot of 3 die sets will be a bullet seating die, a full length sizing die and a neck sizing only die.

It's always good to have a FL die, as I'm finding out with one of my Swedish Mausers that won't chamber its own once or twice fired brass, but for bolt actions it's usually alright to just necksize; and there are benefits to this. But 3 dies sets cover all the basics, so they're a good option.
>>
>>33149349
Buy a used die set for .30-06 of whatever brand. Look on eBay, gunbroker or go to a gunshow for the dies. Dies in general are hard to wear out and unless you are looking to shoot competition the brand really doesn't matter.

>>33149376
Be careful when loading 8mm Lebel. The bore sizes vary and the nominal bore size is an odd .327. Try slugging the bore of your rifle before you purchase bullets.

What is the ultimate close combat melee weapon? My money's on the trench club. You can't thrust it, but it's always reliable, you can't really swing it wrong, and no one has ever managed to parry its swing or walk away after being hit with one.

Alright /k/

I'm making a list for which guns I once want to have in my collection when I immigrate to the US (euro here)

What I'm looking for is basically engineering and pop culture value. I want all the nice stuff from the movies.

Historical value is also nice, got the gun that killed Lincoln on there but that's all I could think of.

I have Rifles, Handguns, Machinepistols, Machineguns, Shotguns and Sniper rifles.

I'm asking for your suggestions as to what is missing and if you have made stuff like this yourself feel free to post it.

Gonna post all in order below

Apply for one. Don't live in a shit area. I ccw a 1911 when I lived in Buffalo. NYS is so fucking repressive with gun laws that once you clear that hurdle you can carry pretty much anywhere (except NYC) because they don't expect you to carry.
>>
>>33148982
Buy a bus ticket to anywhere that isn't NY. Realize it looks beautiful and never move back. Or buy a pistol, shove it up your ass and return to NY.
