Was it perfect the way it was? Did it need to be "upgraded?"
>>33492410
American "upgrades" no
Canadian upgrades yes

Aesthetically? No, there are very few things as fucking amazing as that fucking rifle.
But many of the additions were for the better.
Did the AVRN, NVA, and VC have trouble with using their weapons from other countries due to their shorter height? From what I've heard, some AVRN soldiers had some trouble with firing their m1 garands due to being unable to handle the high recoil.

hey /k/
SC meetup on April 13th at Philsons crossroad rifle range at 3pm.
>>33491971
if had the moola i would go, its only an hour away.
>>33491971
April 13th? Too bad I work weekdays.
Screw the details and the sob stories I ain't gonna bore you to death and no it has nothing to do with a woman but just shit in life.
Ain't got no felony or anything so I can go buy a gun without issues from the gunstore and I'm going to use my last cash to buy a gun to do the job.
I ain't going to bother shooting myself in the head because you don't instantly die like you do in video games and plus you can be saved by the jackasses at the hospital.
I'm going to shoot my own heart so that I can effectively die and effectively stay dead and they won't be able to revive me so reason I'm on here posting is to just say something before I go.
Also I don't care about the gun suicide being added to the data crap because I'm going to be fucking dead why the fuck would I give a shit when I'm dead?
Anyways goodnight /k/.
>>33491847
Make sure you pop some melatonins and nerve pills so that you would be extremely sleepy and almost numb to pain and such when you shoot yourself in the heart and also it will help you die a quicker death.
>>33491847
Get drunk and sleep.on train tracks. Better way to go. Sure to make the news.
DO ETT!

What did they mean by this?
>>33491836
it's certainly one of the most well-tested gats in existence. Are these new-production or refurbished rifles? I know that some of them are being chambered in that oddball shotgun round so they can zigzag Russian firearm regulations.
>>33491872
I believe these are new production in 7.62x39

How much oxygen does modern smokeless powder need to ignite? Could it function in a really low-oxygen environment like the surface of mars?
>>33491559
It needs the oxygen it comes with, dipshit.
>>33491559
Zero. It self oxydises.
>>33491559
All smokeless powder has its own oxidizer dumb ass fucking moron. It works in zero oxygen environments.
What's better; 10mm auto or .357 magnum?
>>33491477
>magnum
Duh.
>>33491477
.357.
Revolvers handle that, .38SP, .380ACP and various 9mm (with adapters).
So versatility wins.
>.357 probably only 5 rounds but max 8 rounds.
>10MM Glock 16 rounds without extended mag and up to 32 rounds with the biggest mag.
Hmm what could possibly be better? Since outside of specialty ammo neither is moving over 2100 FPS so as long as they meet min penetration they are close enough to be interchangable. Neigher will damage anything they don't hit, so the one with more chances to hit must be better.
One is harder and slower to reload and the other is quick and easy. The one with faster reload, less frequently needed is better.
Ok, I guess .357 BTFO.
If you couldn't figure this out on your own maybe you shouldn't own a gun. Just sayin'.
/k/, what about firearms do you find sexy? Is it specific areas? Magwell dimples on AKs, receiver bridges on Mausers, the dust cover on ARs, those are what do it for me. What about y'all?
>>33491468
You know, I often wonder this myself. People here are always commenting on whether they think a particular gun is really visually appealing or if it's butt-ugly, but unlike aesthetics in photography, films, architecture, etc. guns don't even have any sort of soft-science as to what most people like or dislike.
That being said, I'm a sucker for polymer guns with a single piece of furniture between the grip, handguard, and stock.
>>33491468
The adrenaline high is neat.
>>33491468
Sexy guns?
>wood and metal
>battle rifles, or rifles with larger intermediate rounds
>bayonet lugs
>saw battle
>historically important, IE Enfields, Mausers, Mosins, M14 and M1, et cetera
>all original parts
>fullsize wood and metal handguns- 1911, Luger, C96, BHP
>wood and metal revolvers, especially in magnum cartridges
>anything wood and metal in German or Slavshit
>formerly broken/sporterized/otherwise fucked up, but excellently restored
>clean chamber
>proper glass optics
>conventional layout, IE not a bullpup, barrel aligns with top chamber in revolvers as is typical rather than the bottom one as seen in meatballs
I like my guns like I like my women, I guess. Strong, all-natural, fairly big, slightly old fashioned but not afraid to be dirty, will be with me forever and there whenever I'm in need, will outlive me, can take a beating and doesn't afraid of anything.
Are gas delayed blowbacks the pistol of the future?
>fixed barrel accuracy
>simple, low parts count
>less recoil than competition
>easy to rack slide
>could make one with stupidly low bore axis
Only flaw is how dirty blowbacks get, but other guns like the G3 have shown that it is possible to power through the build up for at least a thousand rounds.
>>33491444
Whatever you think about their viability, you have to admit it's a beautifully elegant design.
>>33491444
There's merit to the system but it's challenging to make it much more compact than the GB. HK attempted with the P7 but the tradeoff was moving the gas tube and piston below the barrel which results in more heat transmission to the frame.
>>33491637
>what is the CCP
Who here owns one of these things? Tell me about your experience with it.
nobody wants an old and busted 805.
>>33491442
don't have one. They're neat tho.
>>33491456
They just got here less than a year ago, how are they old and busted?
Can any AR pistol fags out there explain to me why you own one?
for fun
>>33491393
Probably people wanting an SBR without the hassle.
>>33491393
Because I wanted one.
And this one?
There is nothing wrong with fixed iron sights/carry handle..
>>33491299
For starters, your picture is smaller than my tiny dick
Do any of you anneal? Thinking of building an annealer to keep my brass nice for longer. I'm not making wildcats but may convert 5.55 to memeout in the future.
>pic related is wet tumbled range brass.
>>33491285
If you are just making 300 meme and 5.56 I wouldn't bother, since brass is effectively free for those rounds. If you shoot something where you have to buy your brass, it is worth it.
>>33491285
Just get a resistor and some wires and run an electrical current through them on a non-flammable surface.
>tfw your tuffnut dust gets everywhere again
