More importantly, geneseeds when?
Does anyone else wish that they were born in 2070 so that they could live to see all the cool developments in warfare?
>You will never be a conditioned operator programmed with super accurate aim in west Texas in 2096 while hunting Previau oligarchic fentanyl zombie forces.
I love the XB-70, see it every year at the Air Force museum in Dayton.

She's a big one.
I picked this up for $20 as a gunsmith special, all it needs is just a spring for the ejector spur.
>>33483245
If you need more info:
Charter Arms Undercover .38 Special with a 3' barrel. Serial number indicates Early 70's production. Grips are a bit loose, but a new grip screw could fix it.
>>33483245
There's a very high possibility that it was used to kill someone.

Nigga for 20 bucks I'd buy something that would never work again and just refurb it and put in on display somewhere.

Is this a good deal on metal ammo containers?
I got that in the mail today too.
>>33482967
Not bad. I get the one at costco with the .30 cal can inside of it for $18
>>33482967
Yeah, sure. Assuming that there is an O-ring that'll last long enough. And that it is strong enough to not break or some shit when full of ammo.
I am left-handed and right eye dominant.
Should I be shooting pistols with my right or left hand? I passed my ccw class shooting with my right hand, but I am naturally more comfortable holding my pistol with my left hand.
I shoot long guns right handed btw and it is a non issue
shameless self bump.
>>33482806
I'm no expert by any means, but I would suggest keeping your left hand as your draw/shooting hand and learning to PARTIALLY close your right eye when you perform your draw stroke. This will help your left eye take the lead, if you will, so that your natural point of aim will line up with your line of sight.
In my OPINION, your grip, draw stroke, and natural point of aim will always trump half a second's worth of visual attenuation to your sights. In fact, some instructors suggest shooting drills where you remove or cover your sights to practice what is called "kinesthetic shooting."
Finally if you think about it, a good chunk of self defense shooting training involves compression shooting, where you basically draw, index the bottom of the grip with the side of your body, outboard the gun, and "shoot from retention," which involves 100% your dominant hand and 0% your sights.
Check out the Sage Dynamics youtube channel, the guy is actually a lefty and gives out some really solid lessons on defensive shooting.
>>33483028
okay wow thanks /k/ommando! so basically don't even rely on my dominant eye like i would for a rifle and just use what is a natural draw for me?
when I practice draws with my left hand it always feels better obviously and the only difference is a couple degrees of rotation in my wrist to line the sights with my right eye.
I only worry about it because ive heard that my eye/wrist/arm should always be perfectly aligned, and wasnt sure if it was a big issue.
How were new soldiers trained prior to wwi? I don't imagine they could have shipped them all to ft. Benning. So were units trained at the nearest base as a group? We're they entered into the barracks with the rest of soldiers immediately and expected to learn drill as they went? I'm curious has to how this worked.
What is a militia for $200 Alex?
>>33482986
Depends on the place.
Guns are decently expensive.
>>33482782
A body of soldiers would be raised and enlisted, then set to a safe camp or fortress where they would spend 6 to 12 weeks training and learning to march, handle weapons, basic military discipline, signals, ect.
>>33482986
Milita typically met monthly or so and trained for a day at a time. They were generally considered unreliable, and in the revolutionary war typically managed a single volley before abandoning the field.

Lets try to fill out some of the more rural areas, ranges, gunstores, etc. And if you wanna put down youre location to meet some of the other wierdos on here go ahead.

I would be pleased with never seeing any of you.
Anyone know what connector this is? Also, radio/comm thread
>>33482473

if you removed the o ring to make it easier to connect. your commo shop hates you.

Sold my Mosin yesterday to put a Chinese sks on lay away. Starting to miss it. What are some non fudd looking bolt action rifles that are in a common caliber ?
>>33482306
8mm Mauser isnt that hard to get, so mausers, and neither is .303, so lee enfields
>>33482306

How fucking poor are you?

How about a Lee-Enfield in 8x57 Mauser?
I own a bunch of 10/30 hexmags. Surprisingly they are shitty as shit can be. I contacted Hexmag and they said they will replace them, but I have to show them a picture of the mags destroyed. How can I do that without actually destroying them?
>>33482053
Don't be a cunt and just do it faggot.
Trying to fuck over a company who is trying to do right by their customers is the lowest thing you can do.
>>33482053
Why do they have to be destroyed? Did you tell them you were operating too hard and they exploded?
I'm not trying to be a cunt, I don't trust them. I've already tried to work with them before.
I'm 18 and considering joining the us Marines. Advice from any military fags before talking to my local recruiter?
Head over to /MEG/ bud, they'll help you out more there.
>>33482014
They are going to ask a lot of questions about your medical and psychological history.
Even the smallest thing can disqualify you from service, although they can't really look at your history without permission, if you try to hide something from them and they find it you will be disqualified from service.
t. 18 year old and just talked to a recruiter yesterday.
Should I purchase? It's 315.00 dollars, I really like the look and I'd like to be able to own a fine historical military piece.

>>33481679
I'm buying a slightly higher priced version at the assurance of higher quality.
Ok so I built an AR about 10 months ago with a DelTon upper and parts kit and a CMMG lower. Well the two rattle around without a mag inserted.
I want to build another rifle but want to avoid that issue this time around. Any decent tips for an AR novice.
>inb4 ARG
Wanna avoid the cancerous "well mine cost $x thousands so it's better by default" types.
>>33481637
They're supposed to be loose like that you retard
>>33481637
>delton upper
disgusting. Google around for parts and watch youtube tutorials on how to build gayr15s. Sootch and ir8888 has pretty decent videos on them despite the channels themselves being relatively uninformitive.
>/arg/ is bad hurdud
honestly, as insufferable as some of the trips are (looking at you giddy), they actually recommend some the best gears available on the market and for good reason. I won't blame you for wanting to avoid it but they hold some merits. /akg/ is the one you want to avoid completely, as it offers absolutely nothing and consist purely of trips attention posting
>>33481653
Yea no....
Try again, if that were the case then every single AR I have handled besides the one I built, would all have been built "wrong" including factory and home built.
>tripfags
Not surprised really...

>I hand over the safe contents whilsts panicking and saying "calm down" a lot
>he has his back turned and is running off with the goods
Should I have drawn and fired?
