i live in small town in the south(the real south), i am friends with a couple of judges, i am friends with mayor(used to be a judge), i have friends on the county council, i have friends in the sheriff department, everyone knows my family from one side of the state to the other.
I think ill be A-OK and i dont even keep a bat in my car.
Shit last year a dude shot a 18 year old kid in the back of the head for breaking into his truck and he walked like it wasnt shit.
There is something simply incredibly sexy about sledgehammers. Functional as fuck, can be used to hurt people too, can be used to train your body hitting tires with, only $20 bucks, no pig will ever complain that you carry a sledgehammer on your car because it is a work tool.
>>33492569
No shit it isnt exactly pre heated steel eh?
>>33496117

Sweet baby rays on a shingle
WHY
>>33506157
Well its mainly the thicker rubber bands and then a lot of smaller rubber bands tied around the ends,a few plastic cable ties to hold those tighter.
I want to add a few ties on top and bottom of the bands that wrap around the eye bolts, as they tend to slide up and down after shooting, its barely noticeable but they do move,
, adding the ties there should stop that I think.

I think it's really a shame how underrated non-katana japanese weapons are. I like katana a lot and all, but it's sad how little people care about naginata and japanese spears and shit

Correct!

>>33507193
Meh. There's a lot of love for things like the halberd, glaive, and other various pole weapons. I'd put the naginata in that list.

You sir are a weeaboo. Begone with your inferior steel and hear the clash of the mighty European pike armies.
>>33507275
I give up. Monitoring thread for anyone interested. Oldfag arms collector here.
>>33491658
BTW on the real thing the balls are sand cast and hollow and lead filled.
>>33507277
>weeaboo
Nah bruh. My favorite melee weapon is the side sword. Cutting and thrusting power of a medieval arming sword combined with the complex hilt and design of a renaissance rapier.
>>33505864
Looks like you skinned a horse's asshole for that leather.
>>33492404
Nothing personnel, kid
>>33507280
If you are that irish bloke. Got any dirks or clubs?
>>33507193
>>33507277
I like most classic melee weapons.
I like the aesthetics of eastern weaponry though.
if you want weird though try india(pic related)
This one was always strange to me.
a shield seems way more practical but it's neat and flashy I suppose.
>>33496117
I agree
But pickaxes have an aesthetic plus imo.
>>33507512
Looks like a defensive weapon for catching your opponents sword, particularly a rapier
>>33507512
Theoretically dual wielding has practical attributes in that it's easier to carry around a sword and a smaller sword/dagger/whatever than a sword and a shield or a large two handed weapon, and crowd control when outnumbered via the threat of being cut up probably makes people a little more scared than the threat of being smacked with a shield, even if smacking someone with a shield in actuality probably could do some shit.
If you would be in a situation where it's easy and socially acceptable to carry a shield though that would probably generally be better though, yeah.
>>33507550
It's literally called a swordbreaker. Authentic parrying blade but very few samples are known. Probably because it would take an absolute master smith to make one sturdy enough with the available metallurgy.
>>33507550
well yes, I knew that.
I was just arguing that a shield would offer better protection
>>33507572
A shield would likely be even better for crowd control and some had spikes for stabbing.
sword breakers are pretty cool though.
A hypothetical use would be for assassination or defense in a place where you can't bring in armor/shields/ect that would make your intent obvious.
Keeping it classic with an Oakeshott XVIIIb-type longsword

I thought i.33 was early 1300s?
>>33507572
Hence why bucklers were popular with civilians.
Sure, there were some historical examples of people dual-wielding; however, it was generally considered not worth the effort as your off-hand is less coordinated and much more suited to playing a purely defensive role.
Bucklers are very good for punching though.
>>33492404
Cool. Don't listen to the other anons.
