Sudan proved that is Arabs put their minds to it, they can kick ass and take names.
They literally removed their dindu problem within a year.
Name a more thorough victory than the Sudan ass kicking of 2003

Arabs are the Tusken Raiders of the real world, don't underestimate them but modern warfare is just not their thing and never will be.

This may be more /out/ than /k/, but, how the FUCK do I know when my knife is sharp? Is it supposed to have a "sharp, wiry edge." or a smooth edge that you can run your finger over and have it just "drop off"?
>>33490179
Useful sharp: It feels sharp on your fingertips
Not even remotely useful, but "cool" sharp: You can cut a piece of paper just resting the knife on top.
Dull: Can't cut shit
most people forget to rub off the "burr".
you will know when it is sharp enough
Also OP, how in the fuck do I sharpen a serrated edge? I've heard just one side, both sides, or to never sharpen it, because it just ruins the serration.
What is the counter to military exoskeletons?
You can't expect cumbersome HEAT charge devices to be successfully deployed against highly mobile footsoldiers.

I'm a 6'2, 245 lb male. What would be a good first time CCW? I've shot plenty before, and make a somewhat decent amount as a wage-slave. Trying to keep it around >300$.

who else would you be you stupid fucking newfaggot?
So I'm about to inherit pic related from my late WWII veteran grandfather, he apparently found it on a dead German in the Bulge.
I have practically no experience with owning guns, and my time shooting has all been in the Boy Scouts (black powder rifles, .22 caliber rifles, shotguns, revolvers) so I'm pretty clueless.
What are some things I should know? How do I tell if it's safe to shoot, what kind of expert should I take it to? Will any 9x19 ammo work?
These are probably all some pretty stupid questions but I'm completely new to guns.
Winchester 115 gr whitebox works fine with them. I'd recommend keeping it in a good condition and just store it in a safe as a collectible.
>>33489767
Take it to a gunsmith for a check of safe operation. Learn how it works, how to strip and clean it.
Tidy her up, shoot if you want to, ensure that the gun is properly lubricated, protected and stored and don't you ever consider selling it.
Just don't do what this anon did to his grandfathers gun.
What would you guys say are good alternitaves to the US GI aluminum mags(not saying they are bad but I want to see what's out there)
>>33489634
PMAGs. I don't really know why you'd buy anything but magpul pmags, since hexmags are known to be shit.
>>33489634
pmags, l5 and usgi mags are the only ones that matter
>>33489714
PMAGs for sure, they have reliability magic. I'd be skeptical about promags though. Heard conflicting reports

what gun do you wish to impregnate the most?
For me, it's going to be the FS2000, the fish gun.

So /k,
after all the autism we write here on daily basis, do you go to the range at least?
When was the last time you went and let your guns sing their rage?
Did you have a good time? I sure did today.

Last time I went was two weekends ago, but this picture is from January.
>There are new, stricter controls on certain semi-automatic firearms when they are fitted with high capacity magazines ((i.e. over 20 rounds in short semi-automatics and over ten in long ones) and on automatic firearms that have been converted into semi-automatics. However, individuals who legally own these today will be able to continue to do so provided their own member state agrees.
>Tighter controls on blank-firing and inadequately deactivated weapons, like those used in the Paris terror attacks, and an obligation for EU member states to have an appropriate monitoring system in place for the issuance or renewal of licences and to exchange information, are among the updates approved by MEPs to the 1991 firearms directive on Tuesday
>The provisional deal on the EU firearms directive reached by Parliament and Council negotiators last December was endorsed by the full House by 491 votes to 178, with 28 abstentions.
Well, you never really had individual rights to begin with in the EU. So I guess this doesn't change much. Just another slice of the cake taken away from law abiding gun owners in Yurop. Looks like Czechs and Fins may disregard such legislation. Switzerland is bound by Schengen too, but I imagine they don't enforce it either.

And the regulations:
>Every magazine will have to be registered.
>No more weapons converted to single fire. Only stock single fire weapons allowed for sale. (Full automatic weapons converted to single fire only by registered gunsmith will not be allowed).
>No more folding stocks.
>No more high cap magazines. (> 20 bullets for shot weapons, and >10 bullets for long weapons) Inserting 30 bullet magazine into AK will make it military only weapon while inserting 10 bullet magazine transforms it into civilian one.

show off those big ass knives
Old CS > New CS
can someone here recommend me a new EDC?
i put my Talwars into retirement, i'm thinking ti-lite but im a lefty
every single knife except for like 3 ive gotten from GEC has had some fuckup with it. blade play, blades sticking out, blades hitting the spring, etc.
the past 5 or 6 case knives ive bought have had blades hitting the inside of the spring
now i planned to use my northwoods trapper today, i strop it, and then i see not that has a blade hitting the inside of the spring. before that, i accepted and put up with the spear blade having slight blade play and the clip blade's point sticking out enough to catch on my jeans
my hand picked old timer stockman has been stomping out ALL of those high end knives. tight springs, holds an edge just as well as the 1095, no blade play at all, and no blade dents from the inside of the knife. its stunning how fucked im getting on these expensive brands. are there just no good traditional knife brands anymore?
