Are gas delayed blowbacks the pistol of the future?
>fixed barrel accuracy
>simple, low parts count
>less recoil than competition
>easy to rack slide
>could make one with stupidly low bore axis
Only flaw is how dirty blowbacks get, but other guns like the G3 have shown that it is possible to power through the build up for at least a thousand rounds.

Whatever you think about their viability, you have to admit it's a beautifully elegant design.

There's merit to the system but it's challenging to make it much more compact than the GB. HK attempted with the P7 but the tradeoff was moving the gas tube and piston below the barrel which results in more heat transmission to the frame.

>what is the CCP

>Walther's Remington 51
The P7 has heat issues but at least it works.

I didn't say anything about the quality of the pistol. Also InRange says you're full of shit.
>>33491637
What if you made a Steyr GB like pistol with an oval shaped piston to keep width down?
>>33493031
I think they made a bike with an engine like that in order to circumvent some stupid "No V8s ina a bike" rule...

gaaaaaay

Ulm Walthers are top kit
Cologne Walthers are kits***
***Some fitting may be required.
>>33491637
yeah cuz youre going to firing over 300 rounds in a self defense scenario
I wanna like gas delayed blowback but the CCP is a huge piece of shit.
>>33491444
No, they are the pistols of the past.
Now go away.

>a flaw that makes a pistol not drop safe makes it totally non functional shit like a Remington 51.
>>33494460
Not an argument.
>>33491444
The problem is that people would see it jam after a few thousand rounds on some stupid torture test video and instantly think it's an unreliable POS.
>>33493031
But then it'd be needlessly tall unless you found a way to get rid of the recoil spring. I have seen an old Webley pistol with a recoil spring in the grip, but that was shit. Maybe you could stuff a bigger striker spring in it and have it double as the recoil spring?
Really a superior design
