No Black Cats? It's like you don't even want to keep the Japs awake all night by throwing out whistling beer bottles over their bases all night (with a grenade with every 3rd bottle or so)!

Quad .50 nose mount, 2 500 lb and 2 250 lb bombs, a dual .30 nose turret, and .50s in the waist blisters, plus all the hand tossed frag bombs and empty beer bottles the Navy could get. Circle their air bases all night, and randomly drop high explosives so they can't sleep.
>P&W is developing a new engine with double the cylinder count of the R-2800
>USN decides that it's current F-4U Corsair isn't raping japs hard enough
>Mates the two together and reworks the airframe to extend performance to lower altitudes

There's very little red tape preventing you from flying ultralights, since it's mostly just yourself you're endangering.
>>33492383
It's been done in Kerbal.
>>33494581
The first is a Russian experimental bomber that didn't make it out of trials testing, the second is a P-47 testbed with a different, larger engine using a shaft driven supercharger instead of a turbo-supercharger, and cutting down the length of the intercooler intake ducting. The reason for the production P-47's egg/jug shaped hull is to house all of the ducting to the rear-mounted turbo-supercharger.

>>33494606
Yup, just need ~ $20k for the vehicle and ~ $2500 for training, not even a pilots license.
>>33494397
This movie inspired my love of Italian boat planes
>>33494838
And $4000 for the funeral.
>>33494848
Nope. Free burial at sea.

The way I see it, both the training and funeral are optional. You can opt out of the training if you're willing to pay for the funeral.
Pic not quite related.... but close
>>33495126
I like pretty much everything that fits the pattern. The Japanese F-1 is another example.

Personally it's not the danger that stops me from being interested in ultralights, it's that I want to fly so I can fly TO places, not just buzz around.
I think I'm gonna start working on my license again soon, and maybe even consider trying to make a career out of it. I wouldn't at all mind flying corporate charters or freight feeders or whatever for a living.
I am Polish so I will lobby for polish planes.
We do have some Xp in designing decent aircraft.
#1 PZL M-15 Belphegor
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PZL_M-15_Belphegor
>A jet agricultural aircraft, manufactured by PZL Mielec in Poland for Soviet agricultural aviation. For its strange looks and noisy engine it was nicknamed Belphegor, after the noisy demon.
Jet engine biplane? Why the fuck not, motherfucker? :-)
Don't tell me it doesn't look sexy.
