MAC uses the penetration depth as a metric for how good a cartridge is for carrying. Without doing any math, lets assume that the energy in a hollow point .380 is about the same as ball .380. If the hollow point(doing as designed) finds itself at less than half the penetration than ball, all that means is that the energy from the round was more efficiently transferred into the target AKA more stopping power.

The FBI have rounds for engaging in firefights. That's why they use 9mm and not .45 any more.
Again we are talking about everyday carry. You do not need a hardcore penetrating round, like 9mm, or even .380 ball, because the average person is not wearing armour. If a round goes all the way through a target in an everyday situation, that round has failed its task as a carry cartridge because
1. All the force of the round was not put into the target
2. There are presumably innocents around that could be hit by an exiting round

Military recruiters/marines of /k/ how fucked am I?
I lied at MEPS about having ADD but came clean at shipper validation and spilled my guts today.
Master Srgt was a 6'' 8' tall brick shithouse scary motherfucker who was screaming that he would court martial us if we lied and that we would be pulled out of boot camp for any bullshit so I decided to be honest and not risk a fraudulent enlistment charge so I just told the truth. . .
What are the chances I'll be discharged from the marines? I'm scared shitless because other than working for my father I have no other options in life besides joining the service.
My IST scores are relatively good. . . 15 pull ups. . . 10:15 on my run time . . . 95 crunches. . . 92 on my ASVAB. . . I show up 4 days a week at the RSS to PT and attend all Pool Functions. . . My recruiters love me . . . but they told me there was a good chance I would get DQ'd.
Am I fucked longdick style? or is there a good chance I wont be dropped. . .
fuck me I should have just continued lying - but It's hard because as corny as it sounds I'm really that good of a liar.

I've been looking at getting my first AK with a $700-800 budget and so far my research has told me that I should either go with a WASR-10 or a Zastava M70. Any owners of either (or both) rifles here to give any input or advice?
I know that the M70 has a non-chrome lined barrel and milled receiver which makes it potentially more accurate but heavier, whereas the WASR is lighter and easier to clean with a stamped receiver and CLB. Also I've heard that because of the receiver on the M70, it's harder to find aftermarket parts and accessories. Is there anything else I should know or look out for?
This is for the purpose of CQB to mid range run-and-gun as well as a SHTF rifle.

Go with the NPAP / M70, it will out-last the wasr (if taken care of at least minimally) and looks better (imo). But in terms of accessories yes it is a tad bit harder to find them but not hard at all.
(But make sure it's a gen 2 NPAP and not a gen 1, you can tell by the buttplate- if it's a rubber one it's a gen 1, if it's a grey-ish metal one, its a gen 2)

Most people in pistol fights die from blood loss - not from being struck in the off switch known as the brain stem or hit in the shot timer know as the heart and/or major arteries.
Unless you plan on being hawkeye - I would always take advantage of the additional crush cavity and blood loss offered by good expanding ammo

If you haven't already heard, big things are in the works for Kommando Radio.
So far, we've bought our own server and are now in the process of setting it up.
We're getting the stream ready to broadcast as I type this. So far, most of the feedback we've received has led us to decide on Rock and Metal for our standard rotation. Obviously, we'll still have some of our traditional music blocks, including Battle Marches, CONRAD, psyops Sundays and so on.
But we're at the stage now, preparing to expand our catalog, that we must ask, what do you want to hear? We're doing this all for you, so your feedback is of the utmost importancell to us!
