What I am missing here, mostly I just need to replace my motherboard/cpu and get a new gpu.

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/FxBRTH

What's another good 1151 LGA motherboard by the way? should I go with the i7 6670k?

I am more than likely gonna wait till Zen, in hopes of price drops, since I am in no hurry.

But just wanted to go over what I am gonna buy right now, and save the list.

Reposting from the previous thread:

I currently have a system running a 2600k, with my old monitor I bought in 2006 -- 1440x900.

I'm going to upgrade my monitor to 1080p 144Hz, and I plan on getting a new video card shortly after, either a 470 or 480, depending on what's in stock, and what the price difference is at the time.

Am I going to start seeing a bottleneck in my 2600k for games, or am I still good-to-go?

Welcome to /fglt/ - Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.
Users of all levels are welcome to ask questions about GNU/Linux and share their experiences.

*** Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread. ***

Before asking for help, please check our list of resources[*].

If you would like to try out GNU/Linux you can do one of the following:
0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine using VirtualBox or other software made for this puporse for safety purposes.
1) Use the Live ISO (if your distribution of choice has one) to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything, that way, you can get to experience the GNU/Linux operating system without installing it.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS, this is recommended if you want to know more about the GNU/Linux operating system.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

In the the last two years, we saw the continuous removal of the features we loved, and the addition of useless crap nobody asked for.

Now, the next Linux version of Firefox is going to have fucking DRM binaries to please corporations. It starts with video (it's obvious that Youtube is going to adopt it too), and then audio streams, and then fucking whole webpages. Adblocking will be impossible, and you'll have to pay subscriptions to access your favorite sites while not being able to download and make copies of the content you are paying for.

The Mozilla we once knew is dead. Let's boycott it. Let it die.

Not just Firefox, but the web in general seems to have been in slow motion decline, a car crash happening in front of your path that is unavoidable.

A liberating, open, free and wondrous invention such as the internet was a net benefit to everyone, but, now it seems the jews are those that will only benefit - again.

Fuck you, meme loving corporate cocksucker.
I know you're shitposting, but being passive about this kind of shit is what lets the corporate Jews pull their tricks for more money.
Actively removing features is not good and if you buy into the memes, you're a nigger whore that deserves to die. You're the limp wristed, noodle armed faggots that allow manufacturers to take one step forward and then threw steps backward.
Kill yourself and purge the earth of your retardedness, maybe the gene pool will be free of your neanderthal Semitic cocksuckery.
